god i am missing my pirates so much
#i saw a post about what makes a good king and it reminded me of the themesTM i have for the pirate story#vincent having to learn that a good leader doesnt make a good person#meeting andre for the first time hits him with that initial blast of “good leader??? but bad person????”#because he witnesses first hand how well the crew works w andre as captain but also andres a pirate! he cant be a good person!!#but that worldview gets justified the longer they spend because then he believes andre Is a good person so it makes sense he can lead#but like. little by little seeing all of the different types of leaders there are and that world view starting to shift and oh shit#is my dad a good person????#am *I* a good person?????#this is why vincent cant succeed the throne at the end of the story ok#(aside from the fact hes 11 lmfao)#hes learned so much about politics and how to lead from the people around him and hes Good at it but he needs to figure out what his morals-#-are first#vincent hayes#ramblings#GOD i miss my pirates
