hi there! i'm absolutely obsessed with your art with kim's skill checks. i'd absolutely love to know more about how you imagine kim's skills because it's really cool!

Oh wow thank you!! I haven't taken the chance to really think through Kim's skills thoroughly but I do have some thoughts... I'm actually a huge fan of Kim not having skills because of the line saying his conversations take place in his notebook... The idea his inner monologue is just bulletpoints and checklists. But when zaum gives us official stats with his jacket and cargos one can only wonder....

I really like the idea though of Kim's skills having portraits that are less surreal and body-horror esque than Harry's however. Memories, concrete concepts and clichéd visual symbols are what I'm drawn to when i think of visualising them, simply because of the Kim's conceptulization skills are lacking comment. lmao.

Volta do mar is interesting though because the two descriptions we get for it are "A feather on the wind" and "distant enemy of himself". Also u know the whole volta do mar is a travelling technique for boats thing... I mainly used it simply cause its the only phys stat we're aware of and I wanted to make a funny joke but if im honest those two descriptions aren't exactly dismissive of the idea... A skill that would push for Kim to go with the flow could also be a skill that encourages behaviour he'd want to keep under lock and key. I decided to use a plane instead of a boat cause of Kim's childhood dreams of being an aerostatic pilot </3

I did once read a fanfic that gave Kim a paralell stat to Harry's empathy called "compassion" and wowie, I've never stopped thinking about it since. Kim's kindness is one of the driving forces of the game, it would only make sense for him to have a skill like that.
