I’m absolutely obsessed with these asks (so bear with me) but 10, 18, 26, 29, and 30!! For anyone and everyone!

Thank you Jes!!! Sorry this took so freaking long to answer, I kept forgetting to ask my friend @huustlecat if I could talk abt their oc Henry and wanted permission before I did so first! This is long because I did three couples so strap in. 

10. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?

JayXiu - Jason! Xiu remembers too, but Jason likes to surprise her sometimes by picking up a little treat or drink that he knows Xiu likes when they go to hang out. 

HenMarco - Maybe a bit surprising, but I think Marco. I believe Henry is a bit more consistent with his tastes and food routines when going out, while Marco is one of those people who likes to mix it up constantly. He likes to try new things! Along with that, Marco will definitely pay some more attention to what Henry likes to see if he can try and make it at home for Henry. 

Mary/Isaac - They don’t go out to restaurants all that often, but I’d say they both remember what the other likes equally well to say one or the other.

18. Who leaves little notes in the other one’s lunch? (Bonus: what do they usually say?)

JayXiu - Jason again! He would so leave cute little notes in Xiu’s lunches if they were together when they were older. They’d probably be short and simple little things like “Have a good day!” or “Love you!” with a little heart or sun on it.

HenMarco - Probably Marco. Henry is a bit too focused on making sure he’s out the door in the morning, plus Marco’s work schedule is a bit too much for Henry to get up in time to leave a note for Marco. Marco is out either very late or very, very early as he works in radio. On most weekdays, Marco could probably find a little wiggle room to leave some sweet post it note message! 

Mary/Isaac - Isaac primarily! He’s usually still at home when Mary’s leaving as she’s a teacher, so he’ll take the time to make her a nice lunch and write something. They usually have some quote from a poem or book, and a little “I love you!” down at the bottom. When Judith is born, it’ll say “Judes and I love you!”

26. What would be their theme song?

JayXiu - Goosebumps by Lemon Demon!!!!! I love this song for them, it’s so cute and fits their story world very perfectly for them. 

HenMarco - Cool with You by Her’s.  

Mary/Isaac - I’ve never done any songs for them, but my first instinct is to say either Sea of Love by Cat Power or Only Exception by Paramore. Only Exception because Isaac has Issues. While not quite the story in that song it still has the point that accepting and choosing to love Mary was a big thing for him.

29. One headcanon about this otp that breaks your heart?

JayXiu - This question isn’t fair when Jason literally dies.

HenMarco - The cost of knowing Xiu is often being involved in the consequences of her “night job”, whether or not you want it to be. Henry wonders what he’s done to be so shut out when Marco comes back all scratched up and bruised, refusing to tell Henry what’s happened. Is it so awful to wonder what the hell happened? 

Mary/Isaac - Again not fair as Mary also literally dies. But I think what’s more than Mary dying is Isaac feeling at times like he’s failed Mary so horrifically. When she’s alive, she can tell him that he hasn’t, that he’s doing so well and she loves him so much. But when he’s on his own raising Judith? There isn’t much reassurance to be found, and he wonders if Mary made a mistake spending the last few years of her life with him. 

30. One headcanon about this otp that mends it?

JayXiu - Jason and Xiu are childhood friends to lovers trope! I feel very fond of thinking about how gradually then all at once Jason fell in love with Xiu. He can’t even remember when he started to love her so dearly, when it changed from a feeling of friendship to complete head over heels in love.

HenMarco - Marco is very much like an obnoxious little toddler or cat in the sense that he will just clamber right onto Henry’s lap without asking or warning. Just when he feels like. He doesn’t care that you’re working right now, Henry, there are things more worthy of your attention right in front of you, and those things want kisses! On that note, Henry also loves to just lay his head on Marco’s tummy and sometimes even give it little kisses when he’s just chilling there. 

Mary/Isaac - Isaac has a garden at home. Mary loves to read out there while Isaac tends to it, and sometimes reads to him. They also love to make meal together with all that homegrown produce, too.
