hands tied in front of them, on foot while their captors are mounted, sleeping out in the open, forced to beg for adequate food and water

maybe they're barefoot, a captured royal in silken robes

maybe they're in a torn suit or soldier's uniform

maybe they were stripped at the start, increasing the exposure to the elements, the humiliation

are they a terrified mess from the beginning, or do they try to endure with dignity? how long before they're stumbling, barely putting one foot in front of the other? how long before they fall?

Kinda inspired by both the military au, how you mention benji being used as leverage so j and j don’t interfere, kinda inspired by Jericho’s worst torture/ sadistic choice-

If each of the t$$ characters had to choose another one to be tortured, who would they pick? Assuming it’s just your standard physical torture, whipping, burning, general beatings, knives, electrocution, whatever, nothing special or personalized. Just a typical torture session yk. Like you go up to, say, Benji, and he’s gotta pick someone else out of the crew to be tortured. Then (in a dif scenario) Joy has to pick, and on and on.

And there’s gotta be some incentive to make them answer, so let’s say if they don’t choose then their captors are going to kill the others one by one until they either do choose or they’re all dead, or they threaten to go after their families (I can really only see that working for j+j tho), whatever. They have to answer

And even better if they then have to explain why they picked who they picked to all of the others, like they’re all in w room together when they have to choose. But no one else can talk or influence their choice in any way

(Sahota is optional, you don’t have to include him. I feel like he wouldn’t particularly care or like the decision wouldn’t impact him as much as it would the others (it’d still be fun to see who he’d pick tho). But like I’m pretty sure he’d be an easy choice for the others too, which would be fun in whumpy terms for him but it kinda defeats the point since I’d say he’s not close to any of the members like they are to each other, and like they all know that he’s handled torture before so like- yk what I’m trying to say lmao)

You're right about Sahota being everyone's choice if he's present. They'd all have the same answer: he can take it, right?

Sahota wouldn't hold it against them.

Joy would choose Hunter. She knows Benji would take it the worst, and she refuses to let Jericho get hurt, but Hunter seems like he'd handle himself the best

Kaius would choose Hunter. After seeing him in action, he's confident it won't affect him as much as the others

Benji would choose Hunter. He's watched him spar, he knows he has a high pain tolerance, and shit, he might actually be into it

Jericho... would also choose Hunter. He can't let it be Joy, and it would break Benji if he was the one who was singled out, and Kaius may be tough, but Hunter just seems tougher

Hunter would try to choose himself. It's what he's good at, right? (once he's told that's not allowed he'd choose Kaius, you're so right)

Sahota, if he were in the mix, would choose Jericho. Due to his experience, he assumes whatever's about to happen will be survivable, and he knows just being physically bigger makes a lot of difference. Joy would be cussing him out as soon as Jericho was dragged away, because don't you know he has a kid? A family? How could you do this to him?

The answer is obvious: it's the smoothest path to survival.
