Do you like tea? . This picture was taken in Munnar which is situated on the Western Ghats in the Idukki region of India 🇮🇳 . Tea or Chai is the most widely drunk beverage in the whole world. The tea plant, Camellia Sansis, is a cultivated variety of a tree that has its origins in an area between India and China. There are three main varieties of the tea plant ­ China, Assam, and Cambodia ­ and a number of hybrids between the varieties. The China variety grows as high as 2.75m. It is a hardy plant able to withstand cold winters and has an economic life of at least 100 years . The first tea sapling was planted by A.H. Sharp at Parvathi, which is currently the part of Sevenmallay estate. Presently the whole area is covered by miles and miles of lush tea gardens, owned by the various private companies. Munnar is essentially a tea town . During my seven week trip to India last year, I was lucky enough to visit the tea plantations and factories of Munnar. I spent a whole week there walking around the tea plantations, seeing the local women who pick the tea leaves and also learning about how the tea is processed in a local factory. For me exploring the tea plantations of Munnar was one of my highlights of this amazing country . Tata Tea is India’s largest packaged tea brand. Today, 1 in every 3 Indian households consumes tea from the brand’s extensive range of variants including the British favorite Tetley Tea . Tata Group to import 24 cryogenic containers to transport liquid oxygen

The Tata Group will be importing 24 cryogenic containers to transport liquid oxygen and help ease oxygen shortage amid a staggering surge in COVID-19 cases across the country.

"The Tata group is importing 24 cryogenic containers to transport liquid oxygen and help ease the oxygen shortage in the country. #ThisIsTata," the group said in a social media post.

Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to the people in his address to the nation in the wake of the second wave of the pandemic, the group said it is "committed to doing as much as possible to strengthen the fight against #COVID19".

The import of the cryogenic containers via chartered flights to mitigate the oxygen crisis is one such effort to boost health Infrastructure, it added.

In his address to the nation on Tuesday, the Prime Minister called upon all stakeholders, including the pharmaceutical industry, to deal collectively with the immediate challenge of the shortage of oxygen cylinders. Read More
