Slinging her yoga mat over her shoulder, she made her way out of balance and breathe and took a few moments to look around the street. She loved one thing the most about Wilmington but specifically Carriage Falls where her mother still lived—the way the leaves would change in the autumn and how absolutely picturesque it would look. She couldn’t help but snap a few pictures on her iPhone, knowing that it would definitely not do the real life image justice at all.

World Underneath: With Light

01: A More important Matter: Tara has taken on a bet with her supervisor, Andrew, that she can get notoriously asocial Nero go to go a team-building event. She's pretty sure she's got him convinced, when his "unwavering worship of Lumiere, the legendary hunter," manages to ruin her chances.

02: Sleepless Friday Night: Nero takes his dedication to Lumiere very seriously, to the point where he is the head of a Lumiere fansite. There's a poll to determine the top ten hunters in Linkon, and someone is trying to destroy Lumiere's chances of being at the top of the list. At the top of the site is a bad photo of 'Lumiere,' along with an article with a very inflammatory headline. There's a declaration that "the first sin is deception," along with video footage of a flash of light outside a florist; the man who appears there has "a face etched with wrinkles."

Nero takes his role as a 'Lightchaser' very seriously, and is thus determined to see what is actually going on. He ends up using some questionably legal techniques to access the raw footage from the security camera, and proceeds to post a breakdown of the evidence that proves the person in the video is not Lumiere: build, movement, and Evol particle readings.

03: The Introvert Bites Back: The next section of the article is about how "the second sin is pride," and uses the example of Lumiere not appearing at an event; Nero finds evidence that the rumor was spread in hopes of forcing Lumiere to make an appearance; he posts that information and proof.

In his youth, Nero had sent a message that he wanted to meet Lumiere, and received the response, "Instead of looking up to the light, why not become a light that illuminates the world for others?" This is what inspired him to become a hunter.

The next section declares "the third sin is sloth: shocking! Lumiere actually sleeps with Wanderers!"*1 There is a photo of Lumiere napping with a Herte Knave, an Intelligentia type Wanderer. Nero points out that the Wanderer is wearing light cuffs, and that its blade isn't shining, "indicating its Protocore Energy has been depleted."

The next three days last forever, and the negative evidence provided against Lumiere "(crumbles) under scrutiny." Lumiere is accused of hoarding and auctioning Protocores, in addition to hacking hunting leaderboards. The subway attack with the Tezcatlipoca was an elaborate hoax, etc.

During all of these shenanigans, Nero finds that the only common thread he can find is the involvement of one Shen Xinghui.

04: Has The Light Vanished? : The last section of the article contains a few documents (directly transcribed below.)

"...Light Evol has been detected. Evolver's Evol limit cannot be defined. Ant attempts to probe its limit triggers a special neck suppressor, which prevents the Evolver from using their full power. The techies can't explain it. No physical form detected, no scars, and the energy suppression field acts like a Protofield anomaly. After conducting a series of experiments in the lab, the techies finally unraveled the suppressor's mechanism. They boosted its threshold and got a basic understanding of some of its mechanisms."

Immediately following this is a "close-up of someone's throat, the Evol suppressor pulsating as a vicious, constrictive red ring of light. And then, there's a bit of silver in the corner. It's a tassel earring." Nero is so genuinely distressed that his Hunters Watch keeps beeping a health warning.

Shen Xinghui walks into the office and finds Nero; upon asking if he's alright, Nero shows him the photo of the captured Lumiere and announces that Lumiere could be dead. Shen Xinghui suggests he go home, but Nero's Hunter's Watch moves from beeping to giving off an alarm; Shen Xinghui gives him a paper bag to breathe in, and says that Lumiere is probably okay now, but Nero is despondent.

05: A Little Chat: Nero's online persona has been voted onto the 'Top Ten Hunters' leaderboards.

Nero finds Shen Xinghui and tells him that he "figured out one of (his) secrets." Despite Shen Xinghui's obvious confusion, Nero tells him with great confidence that Shen Xinghui is clearly Lumiere's biggest fan. Shen Xinghui doesn't say much in response, but Nero assumes he's right, anyway.

"Pinned by QuantumSocialite Lumiere is a beacon in the darkness, guiding us to forge ahead. And I believe, with unwavering certainty, that his light will continue to shine in the future. Because there's light everywhere."

I really like Nero as a character; a sincere nerd is always nice to see. I also resonate with his reaction to the images and notes about the collar; I, too, was Extremely Distressed to find out that my assumptions/guesses about the collar were correct.

Oz wasn't sure what to feel, when Break informed him of Lacie's presence here. Still isn't sure, if he were to be honest with himself. He's not even sure about what he's feeling currently, as he stares at the screen of the device in his hands. Her name seemed to have automatically been placed among his contacts when he arrived. Perhaps he should've figured out how to operate it sooner.

Trepidation. That's what he feels, he thinks, as his grip tightens around his phone. He wasn't afraid of her. She was the reason he existed, after all. He remembers her, now. How she gifted one of his bodies to the Core, and kept the other for herself in the material world. The fact that she was his first Contractor.

Distantly, he can feel it. The presence of another part of himself somewhere in the city. Strange, how this world they've found themselves in works. Local law enforcement has released a warning urging Roswell’s residents to keep a keen eye on their pets. In the early hours of November 1st, close to 6:32 AM, Roswell native Mateo Pérez was spotted leaving the sheriff’s department with dog lead in hand. Later on, neighbours alleged to have heard him rambling on the phone about bright lights, disorienting air pressure and a momentary blackout during which he claims aliens have abducted his pet Pomeranian, Duna. While the police are yet to issue a formal statement, it is safe to assume complete dismissal of all and any extraterrestrial-related theories. Most likely, there’s a pet-napper on the loose.

I. ℭ𝔢𝔫𝔱𝔲𝔯𝔦𝔢𝔰 𝔞𝔤𝔬 , the Senobium bound a wicked beast with a magic collar , sealing his powers and forcing his obedience . Known for his sharp tongue and biting wit , Vere is a cunning fox spirit born of the depths of the Shroud and has long done the Senobium’s dirty work with a sly smile , but he’s grown restless and there’s no telling what a beast as cunning and ruthless as Vere will do once unleashed . Can he be trusted , or does he simply enjoy playing with his food ?

01. i'm 28 yrs old and living in cst . feel free to send me IMs if you want to plot or talk about the muses . due to my demanding schedule i am extremely low activity . i require patience and understanding from my mutuals , although most of my mutuals are friends anyways .

i also refuse to participate in mature threads with minors or follow them .  in fact, even if this blog content is 18+, I will only interact with rpers who are 21+.

04 . I don't require my partner to match the length of my replies . i am always open to general script rp to start our interactions , too ! i don't mind if you do or don't format posts , i don' t judge !

concerning RP , multis please specify which muse you would like to interact with when sending in memes or liking starter calls . unfortunately i am not a mind reader and i'm inclined to panic and inevitably not answer someone's rp if i don't know who they want to interact with . 

 i'm always down for forming / establishing many kinds of relationships if we have agreed to it beforehand . I don't mind one sided shipping either .  regarding MCs , i only ask that we discuss what route / dynamic we both want before assuming to auto-ship with me .

I also reserve the right to my interpretation of a character. I don't operate on fanon 80% of the time, so please understand if I have a different perspective of Vere than maybe you do.

05. Do not involve me in drama. I will block liberally if you are of the opinion that someone who annoys you warrants a smear campaign or you create a hostile space on your blog or in GC for people who have not done anything wrong. That being said, I will rarely reblog a post about people who have genuinely caused harm within the online community since this blog is a safe space (even if Vere is not lol).

02. one-liners, multipara are all okay. i lean more towards the latter but i wouldn’t mind doing one-liners either for fun.

03. usually, i match length. but i can also write a lot. i write a hecking lot, especially when it comes to meme in askbox. i ramble a lot. but don’t feel stressed over matching lengths - just give me something to reply to.

04. if you wish to continue a thread from asks, feel free to create a new post and tag me in it.

05. i’m known as a bit of a muse bicycle so i can roleplay any side characters to spice things up on and complement the threads. 

06. i will drop threads if i don’t feel it anymore but i will try my best to let you know about it beforehand and maybe we can either discuss another plot or shake hands and walk away like mature adults if nothing else works. there’s no pressure to continue interacting with me if there isn’t chemistry between the mun either !

09. yes, i am over 20 but i most likely will not be writing sex stuff with just anyone off the bat. main reason being i am pretty bad with it and i wouldn’t want to accidentally give anyone’s character a derection or anything. i do like to write the foreplay though but anything that comes after is pretty hard to interest me unless it’s with a shipping partner. also, i make a lot of sex innuendos joke because unfortunately that’s my main comedy go to but it doesn’t mean that i want to write smut.

10. please don’t come to my dms with passive aggressiveness and uppity in regards to how i write my character. i don’t care that much about sticking to canon to a tee. i love to bend the lore, twist the rules around and entertain to the best of my creative abilities. i only focus on making myself a very happy writer and hopefully someone a very happy writing partner.

11.  mun =/= muse, this goes without saying. but if my muses becomes a bit too much, just let me know nicely and i’ll try and dial them down. your comfort is important but don’t be a jerk about it.

12. i will block anyone who engage in senseless drama or discourse. i will also not follow anyone whose headcanons or takes i am uncomfortable with that sprung up due to sinophobia, have incited sinophobia or any misinterpreted romanticization of my culture at that sort in this fandom. we sure live in a wild time, huh.

13. i portray the chinese version of the game when it comes to characterization of the characters and lore.

14. no god-modding, obviously. and try not to have your muse know things that my muse wouldn’t tell anyone. 

15. I have massive social anxiety, coupled with a lot of other shit with my mental health so I will be selective with who I will continue to thread with. If something bothers me, I’ll let you know nicely and gently. If we still don’t click, I’ll have to drop threads or plotting ( though I will still be open with working things out ) but again, I’ll let you know nicely and gently. hello there ! i'm rose she / her / 27 year of age. i run quite a few blogs at this point that you might know me by. my more popular blog within the dc and marvel universes is /jewelstole where i write selina kyle. i wanted to make a blog for a marvel character as well as have a dc character. hence the reason for groot. <3 i know you did not ask for an explanation on that but. there it is anyway haha.

01. dossier + other fun things about groot can all be found on the theme layout of my blog. just a reminder , those specific things are not mobile friendly ! if you ever have questions on who groot is as a character, please come and chat ! i love to talk about my favorite plant guy.

02. i'm particular about my portrayals just as i hope people are particular about mine ! if you like my portrayal enough to consider mains and exclusives with me , feel free to ask about it. i'm almost always teetering on friends only at all times and i prefer to develop with close knit bonds overall.

03. drama is not permitted here. i say this on every blog of mine but if you have any issues with me , just block me and move on. i don't have time to listen or care about interpersonal drama. the only things that will be taken in to affect here , and what i consider NOT to be drama is if someone is r*cist / h*mophobic / the like. those are obviously not ever okay and you will be hardblocked if i see it.

04. this will require a bit of pre-established stuff but i've written groot before i made this blog and i think it would be a lot easier for groot to BE understood by others in most thread cases. otherwise , a lot of threads are going to fall flat because he will just continue to repeat "i am groot" over and over again. i am okay with doing that once in a while where they do not understand each other in a thread , but countlessly doing it will only create boring situations. at least for me. so , just for future reference , everyone can understand groot.
