Schedule for Animating 12/3/17

-my notes:

remember to animate bodies and faces - lip sync/eye movement/change of emotions/blinking/breathing

animate things in the background - eg. trees/rubbish/characters

animate characters in loops so can be repeated as “sprites”

sort out audio file so each scene has their own set of audio

record one more line for Scene 8 - Sarah

what music will feature in 4 scenes (Scene 4, Scene 5 and Scene 10 and Scene 13 - they feature a radio and/or have no dialogue)

do test animations and put them on my blog

PLAN

The rough idea is to get 3 - 4 scenes done a week as there are 14 in total, each scene is different in length so if I try to get one long one (over 30 seconds) done a week and a few short ones, I should be able to get it mostly done in a months time!! We shall see, I’ve got til the end of May to complete it, but I’m aiming to get a lot done before the beginning of May, so that the work done so far can be put together and I can show it off at a conference I am going to with Stories2Connect the first week of May~

SCHEDULE

(Week 1) 13/3/17 - 19/3/17 

- S1 (Interactive) - 1 min 3 sec+

- S2 (not) - 12 sec

- S3 (Interactive) - 24 sec+

= 1 min 39 sec+ (S1 - 3 pop ups then 4 pop ups = three PNG sequences, S3 4 pop ups = three PNG sequences, S2 as one PNG sequence = 7 sequences)

(Week 2) 20/3/17 - 26/3/17

- Check work from previous week and send off to Daniel (3 scenes - S1, S2 & S3 & Title Screen PSD)

- S4 intro (Interactive at end) - 14+ sec (needs a hold at end that is separate to come back to after each animation)

- S4 - 3 shots x 5 second animations (not) - 15 sec

- S5 intro (Interactive at end) - 7 sec+ (needs a hold at end)

- S6A (not) - 8 sec + S6B (not) - 5 sec + S6C - 10 sec+ (Interactive) =  23 sec

- S9A (not) - 10 sec

= 1 min 10+ (S4 intro in two PNG sequences, S4 - 3 shots as three PNG sequences, S5 intro - two PNG sequences, S6A & B - two PNG sequences, S6C - one PNG sequence with 3 pop ups, S9A one PNG sequence = 11 sequences)

(Week 3) 27/3/17 - 2/4/17

- Check work from previous week and send off to Daniel (2 scenes - (S4 and S6) but NOT the 2 halves (S5 and S9A)) 

- S5 Book Animation (Interactive) - 5 sections, 3 are interactive - 1 min+ (the most complex thing of this whole animation)

- S8 (not) - 4 shots in one PNG sequence  - 28 sec

= 1 min 28 sec+

(Week 4) 3 /4/17 - 9/4/17

- Check work from previous week and send off to Daniel (3 scenes - S5 (2 parts) & S8) 

- S7 - 2 sections (Wideshot + Lipsync (not)) / Close Up + Rotoscope (Interactive)) - 26 sec+

- S9B (Interactive) - 31 sec+

- S10 intro (Interactive at end) - 20 sec+ (needs a hold at end)

- S10 - 4 shots x 5 second animations (not) - 20 sec

= 1 min 37+ (S7 - two PNG sequences with one pop up in 2nd part, S9B two PNG sequences with 4 pop ups, S10 intro - two PNG sequences, S10  - 4 shots as four PNG sequences = 10 sequences )

(Week 5) 10/4/17 - 16/4/17

- Check work from previous week and send off to Daniel (3 scenes - S9A&B, S7 & S10) 

- S11 (Interactive) - 38 sec+

- S12  (not) - 12 sec

- S13 (not) - 17 sec

= 1 min 7 sec+ (S11 - two PNG sequences with 4 pop ups, S12 - one PNG sequence, S13 - one PNG sequence = 4 sequences)

(Week 6) 17/4/17 - 21/4/17

- Check work from previous week and send off to Daniel (3 scenes - S11, S12 & S13) 

- Any animations that aren’t finished!! & send off on the Friday.

-Over 30 PNG sequences omg...wait characters need to be separate...whoops this will be so many files

- work out sound files and send them off too in separate folders (adjust sound volume/create mixes????)

EDIT: I’m actually in Canada visiting my sister the week 17th-21st so I’ll move this week to a week later, or try and get things done sooner...not sure.

...So, from this general plan, I need to get at least a minute of animation done a week to get this done in this smaller time frame...I’m not sure if that is possible but I did get my 8 minute Animatic done in a short time frame so we shall see how this goes, if I don’t get it all done for the 24th April, it’s okay, whatever I have should be enough and I’ll save it all as a video too so I can take that to the conference with me too!
