I like the freedom I have here in the U.K but the government/people of the government genuinely make me so mad, and what’s worse is that the larger majority go with everything that’s happening:
(in no particular order, and is literally a fraction)
Starving kids? OK!
Brexit? YES!
Legislate anti-trans policies? FINE BY ME!
Reduce our public services? ABSOLUTELY!
The list goes on

Let the bird of loudest lay
On the sole Arabian tree
Herald sad and trumpet be,
To whose sound chaste wings obey.
But thou shrieking harbinger,
Foul precurrer of the fiend,
Augur of the fever's end,
To this troop come thou not near.
From this session interdict
Every fowl of tyrant wing,
Save the eagle, feather'd king;
Keep the obsequy so strict.
Let the priest in surplice white,
That defunctive music can,
Be the death-divining swan,
Lest the requiem lack his right.
And thou treble-dated crow,
That thy sable gender mak'st
With the breath thou giv'st and tak'st,
'Mongst our mourners shalt thou go.
Here the anthem doth commence:
Love and constancy is dead;
Phoenix and the Turtle fled
In a mutual flame from hence.
So they lov'd, as love in twain
Had the essence but in one;
Two distincts, division none:
Number there in love was slain.
Hearts remote, yet not asunder;
Distance and no space was seen
'Twixt this Turtle and his queen:
But in them it were a wonder.
So between them love did shine
That the Turtle saw his right
Flaming in the Phoenix' sight:
Either was the other's mine.
Property was thus appalled
That the self was not the same;
Single nature's double name
Neither two nor one was called.
Reason, in itself confounded,
Saw division grow together,
To themselves yet either neither,
Simple were so well compounded;
That it cried, "How true a twain
Seemeth this concordant one!
Love has reason, reason none,
If what parts can so remain."
Whereupon it made this threne
To the Phoenix and the Dove,
Co-supremes and stars of love,
As chorus to their tragic scene:
threnos
Beauty, truth, and rarity,
Grace in all simplicity,
Here enclos'd, in cinders lie.
Death is now the Phoenix' nest,
And the Turtle's loyal breast
To eternity doth rest,
Leaving no posterity:
'Twas not their infirmity,
It was married chastity.
Truth may seem but cannot be;
Beauty brag but 'tis not she;
Truth and beauty buried be.
To this urn let those repair
That are either true or fair;
For these dead birds sigh a prayer.

«For the 26th episode of Thrènes mix series, we are thrilled to have the brilliant DJ and producer Ink! has delivered a vibrant mix for Thrènes that not only reveals his impeccable mixing skills but also marks the polymorphous ground upon which Ink!'s talent has been molded and has been steadily growing since the late 90's. His profound connection with music is not only visible through his numerous DJ and live performances in various underground scenes in Switzerland and around the world, but also through his contribution as the co-founder of two of the most remarkable labels on the electronic scene: Hula Honeys (2007-2015) and -OUS.
This mix undoubtedly communicates Ink!'s sophisticated sense and charisma for combining silky melodies, distorted textures and dancefloor bangers all in an absolutely elegant way.»

So I noticed that many of the areas on the map of Fódlan resemble European geography. Also, I haven’t seen it yet, but here are some notes:
• Fódlan: Comes from the Irish goddess “Fódla”, whose sisters are Banba and Ériu: Ériu is the patron goddess of Ireland, and is where we get the name Ireland from (Éire) and where we get “Erin”.
• Adrastea: Could either come from Adrasteia, a nymph who helped raise Zeus or Adrestia, daughter of Ares and Aphrodite. Adrastia means “she who cannot be escaped” and she was venerated as goddess of revolt, just retribution, and sublime balance between good and evil.
FUN FACT: One of Jupiter’s moons is called Adrastea, and another one which USED to be called Adrastea is now named Ananke. Ananke is named after the Greek personification of inevitability; Ananke, mother of the Fates.
• Fergus: Comes from the Proto-Celtic word for man-strength and virility. There was a mythical king Fergus ma Róich who was strong, but got trucked and betrayed by someone and goes on to become the ally and lover of that someone’s enemy queen.
• Leicester: Leicester (pronounced Lester) is a city in England. Its name comes from an old name for the River Soar (a cognate with the Loire), to flow, and the Latin “castrum” for a building or plot of land. Leicester was a stronghold for Parliament in the English civil war.
• Albine: Could come from “albus”, Latin for white.
• Brigit: Means “Exalted One”, and she was an Irish goddess. She is associated with spring, fertility, healing, and poetry. She is one of the Tuatha Dé Danann, considered the main deities of pre-Christian Ireland.
• Morpheus: Morpheus, the vaguely Turkey-shaped country, is the name of the Roman god of dreams or sleep, said to be son of Hypnos.
• Palmira: Could be named after an ancient city in Syria, Palmyra. Palmyra was a hub for trade in ancient times, and its name could either come from the word for date palms, miracle, to love, or to know depending on sources.
• Threne: A “threne” is a “dirge or lamentation”, from the Greek “thrênos” meaning funeral lament.

“ We are thrilled to welcome back the passionate vinyl selector and eclectic vendor: Anton Beatbox. His exquisite taste, paired with his long-standing commitment to music, makes Anton Beatbox a reference when it comes to high-quality dark electronic music. In the first part of his mix for Thrènes, Anton Beatbox manages to build up a halcyonic atmosphere and sculpt a gentle but steadily enchanting agony that will undoubtedly grip the listener's senses. This intriguing, scenic soundscape is then transformed into a series of percussive attacks with sharp bass lines.
Don't even try to fight, you've already lost. “

My dads been watching vids of some annoying dude thats going around police stations and pretending hes a cop in civillian clothes and has come to inspect them & how they work and basically the entire point in his vids is 'cops are so bad look how they treat me!' and all they did was ask for his id and basically told him to wait until he was identified.. im not a fan of cops but this dude is literally going into their workplaces, filming it, pretending hes an inspector and then acting like hes the victim when they ask him (literally none of the cops threned, shouted or in any way shown violence towards him!!) to stop filming and go away
What an ass
