O!Steve who was cheer captain & was enrolled in ballet before tht running away to some city somewhere w A!Robin (probably LA) to avoid the mating his parents were demanding of him, they struggled to find work for awhile till they see help wanted for a strip club looking for a bar tender & a new dancer they decide why the hell not

Except when they arrive for their interviews it's a rlly upscale club tht is clearly frequented by the rich & powerful & famous but well in for a penny in for a pound so they go in & ace their interviews. Robin is surprisingly graceful behind a bar, even performing tricks, & Steve dances the pole as if it was his destiny. They're hired.

They quickly build a reputation within the club. Robin as the young sexy alpha bartender, & Steve as the new angel of the pole. They're both making more money than they ever had before & can afford a nice enough apartment with 2 bedrooms.

Rules of no touching r strictly enforced, but the other dancers tell Steve there r 3 individuals who r an exception to tht rule. One is the mystery club owner who rarely requests a private dance, one is a blonde alpha who is rumored to run a significant drug operation, & the last is a powerful mafia boss alpha everyone only knows as Kas...

Well Steve is eventually requested to give a private dance to this blonde alpha (Billy) who's handsome but has a terrible personality, he groped Steve & tried to get him to come back w him to his private residence offering him a ridiculous amount of money for a week together. Steve is able to turn him down using the rules of the club. But Billy clearly wasn't happy.

Then the mystery club owner has Steve give him a dance (Hopper? Idk) but all he has Steve do is sit w him, drink water, & chat abt how he's settling into the club. It's a pleasant interaction & the other dancers confirm for him tht the owner doesn't care for a dance just to have someone sit & spend time w him.

Then one night the club is packed. Steve gives his performance, collects more tips than usual, & goes backstage to drink water & rest for a bit. Well then he's being told Kas has requested a private dance from him. Kas is obviously Eddie, & his scent is irresistible & the dance goes well Kas doesn't grope steve like Billy did & he only touches Steve enough to help him stay balanced & connected & at the end Kas tips Steve more than he’d make in 5 months working at the club

Blah blah blah

Steve sees Kas semi regularly after tht, eventually being approached by one of Kas' men to attend a date w the mafia boss, no expectations except for his company & he'd get paid A LOT of money

He agrees, goes on the date, it goes rlly well, Kas is a gentleman & a sweet alpha, & Steve agrees to see him again this time without a paycheck waiting.

They fuck nasty after the third date😜

THT Tokens Part 2 - Love Tokens

Last time I spoke about vengeance tokens, this time we’re going to take a little look at love tokens….gather round Osblainer’s, this ones for you.

We know that tokens are personal objects, one gifted or collected, generally nostalgic in sentiment. Well recently June seems to be rocking a new piece of jewellery; a mysterious necklace and I have to say I’m dead curious as to where she got this. I might have passed it off as a harmless trinket, however scenes that specifically showed her putting it on and holding it, were closely followed by her either seeing or hearing about Nick and Hannah. In Ballet June is seen putting the necklace on before going out and shortly thereafter Nick and Hannah appear on the television.

In Ep 5 09 she clutches it screaming at Lawrence, when he tempts her with Nick and Hannah. Shortly thereafter Tuello arranges a meeting between Nick and June.

The only time I recall anything remotely like a necklace is in S1 when June take Nicks off the first night they are together, and in Jezebels when he wakes to find her rummaging through his things in an attempt to learn more about him.

June clings to this necklace like it’s a lifeline when she has her run in with Lawrence, its a token from which she draws support, so where did it come from? Or rather from whom? Necklaces are traditionally intended as a memento to remind that individual of the gift givers constant affection so what’s going on with this trinket?

Hollys doll is a love token. As I’ve mentioned before, tokens embody an individuals soul, acting almost like a conduit. Hollys doll acts as a conduit for Nicks love for his daughter and as a symbol of his fatherhood and protection but its so much more than this. it reminds both Nick and June of their hope for a family and their love for each other. In S4 Ep 9 when Nick first gives Holly the doll he says “I thought she might like to keep this with her”……..”My beautiful girl” (I’m not crying, you’re crying) it’s a request for his daughter and for June to keep his love in their hearts. The act of bringing a toy for his daughter speaks of his constant thoughts of them “I think about us, I think about it all the time, what we could be".

The doll itself is handmade and as such it is seen as having more intrinsic value than an average toy. Handmade objects immediately conjure up visions of great effort, love and care.

In S5 June mentions the doll to Nick and he dodges the reference as he fruitlessly attempts to cut ties with her. Later the doll appears in the background in a scene in which June sings to Nicole. As a “personal object” that embodies the love of her father and carries his spirit, I’m glued to the screen every time that doll shows its face. I’m almost certain it was packed in that bag when June and Holly fled to Hawaii, but who knows?

okay this is a lil headcanon of mine!! all of draculas brides are queer in their own way and are really just draculas girl friends (key word: friends) who live with him cause it’s easier !!

now there’s three of them and two canonically have dark hair and the others blonde but i gave them names :3

the first: judith! i hc her to be from medieval times so a bit before dracula and she was born a vampire instead of being turned, and while being like an either french or german medieval countess or duchess or some shit she had this fiancée who she was gonna marry in secret and was very good at making it look like she was just friends w her or some shit idk but then she died and judith was like absolutely pissed and before meeting dracula juat terrorized thr shit out of that town for centuries on end before she n dracula found the other two wives and they all just moved into a castle tohetger

the second: sybil! the brides canonically don’t have races (i think) so i just decided that sybil is black because i can 🎀 anyway she was born human in the italian renaissance towards the beginning of where it started and she was a painter but not really a famous one but was popular in tht town she lived and because she was a girl kisser she liked the paint women mlre and was wirh definitely a few (not a lot but a few) of the women she painted and therefore she has a lot of paintings of a few of them instead of just one and one day a man wanted hee to paint him and she was like “no sorry i’d rather not i only paint women” and cause she didn’t have a business and was painting on her own accord and whoever she wanted so basically she painted whoever she wanted and the guy she refused was a newly turned vampire so he (attempted) to kill her and it turned her into a girl kisser vampire instead and eventually she met judith and dracula and they all became besties

the third: cleda! i was gonna have hee american at first but dracula takes place in europe so i didn’t ! but anyway my hc is she’s the youngest bride and was alive and an opera singer in the mid 1700s :3 and she was very popular and very famous and judith (the first bride) rlly liked her and went to a shit ton of her operas cause like i said she loved her voice and just her in general (fag. I CAN SAY IT) but cleda was unhappy with herself and how she sounded and had a terrible “i need to be the best” complex and out of straught up anger was like “yk what i hate u all” and also rlly rlly liked this ballet dancer but hated that she felt like that and didn’t think t was normal and after she got rlly pissed amd just (tw!!) tried to commit and judith was coming to be like “hi ur literally amazing” and saw her like unconscious and abt to die on the floor smd bit her and turned her before anything could happen

anyway now they’re all gay and live in a castle together (until they die at the end of the book) and just hrlp dracula out with certain things and vice versa and are only rlly called his brides cause of homophobic pieces of shit and him being like “erm they’ll burn u guys alive” and it’s just a cover for them all being gay and are actually poly and eachothers brides

I'm gonna read this book now. and I'm going to envision all of them in this way. idk anything about the book, but this genuinely sounds more interesting than the actual book itself does.

— this is the ethereal but spoiled alma olive putnam (she goes by all 3 names cos she’s pretentious as fuck). a horse girl through and through. pretty and she knows it. the meanest girl at your school that all of the teachers adored n u could never understand why. loves the smell of libraries and listening to french music from a tinny record player in knee socks n pretending she has never seen an iphone. 

— her family own a big old farmhouse with a ranch and loads of animals in propsect hill, and they've employed a lot of the island's farmhands and animal handlers over the years. her mother tends to get drunk and fire everybody when she's stressed so as a result they've gone through quite a lot of staff.

 — her parents are german-american. she was born in marina in a big old farmhouse. her great-grandfather moved to america as an immigrant and worked on a plantation, made his way up cos he could speak a lot of languages and therefore win more people over. putnams have always been good at persuasion. for the last two generations, putnam men have owned the farm rather than worked on it, handled finances, kept the books and stocks, and do very little of the dirty work. the putnam farm is a big supplier in the island's meat industry. they have a competition for “the biggest hog in prospect hill” every summer.

— both of her parents had large personalities, so alma’s never really been shy around adults, even as a kid she’d speak to them in a forthright, confident manner, and because she was always surrounded by adults, she’s always seemed a bit wise beyond her years. up until high school, she didn’t really have any friends. other kids thought of her as an oddball, a grown up in an eleven-year-old’s body, and she thought of them as immature and beneath her. rather than sleepovers, bike rides, and making mud pies, alma put her time instead into bettering herself, learning to speak several languages, learning the clarinet, practising ballet, horse-riding. she was a child who always had to have an activity or project on the go, or she would become listless and nightmarish for the carousel of au pairs and nannies hired to care for her.

— upon graduating high school, she was accepted to juliard to study ballet and contemporary dance, but an injury meant she had to turn down her place. she’s still bitter about this and takes every opportunity to bring up the fact tht she could totally have gone to julliard (but maybe she shd have jst taken the charles melton route and done riverdale instead)

— after turning down juliard bcos of said injury, alma went to columbia uni and majored in classical civilisation. she can read ancient greek and latin, but she also speaks french and beginner’s italian. she studied classics cos she thinks it makes her sound smart, but actually doesn’t really care for latin and just loves learning about feckless hedonism and the festivals of bacchus and writing about how all women in myth are literally forgotten or abused for their bodies and the greek fascination with cannibalism. anyway she spent most of her time at uni doing ballet and theatre anyway

— she’s very much a consolidation of every character in the secret history. has a morbid longing for the picturesque at all costs. obsessed with w.h. auden and the beat poets. the film to watch if you want to understand alma is thoroughbreds. there are a lot of parallels between lily (anya’s character) and alma, but she also embodies amanda’s cold disposition and ability to cry on cue.

— alma’s idea of a romantic gesture: exchanging vials of blood so that each of you can carry a piece of your lover around on your neck with you always, or being gifted a ruby-hilted dagger engraved with her initials. she wants the fucked up kind of love that megan fox and machine gun kelly have. her love language is gifts (sociopath) and words of affirmation.  

— she will put everything else on hold for success. she lets things consume her with obsession. at university, her academic merit and her reputation within the theatre society was all she could focus on. she loves the smell of libraries, the ancient smoke of learning, of feeling like old wine in a new bottle reincarnated from the bones of some old, dead witchy woman who invented a cure for cowpox or somethin. as well as the practical elements of ballet, she loves the theory of it. she’ll read every book she can find, despite knowing u can’t learn a skill like that from a book. she will stop at nothing 2 get what she wants. watch ur damn backs.

— pretentious motherfucker. loves poetry, especially the romantics, loves the morbid poets even moreseo, edgar allen poe, sylvia plath, allen ginsberg, she just loves them all. can’t get enough. her favourite films are like…. wanky artfilm independent european cinema. especially french new wave. loved umbrellas of cherbourg and her clothing style is based a lot around looks in that film.  “what do you think of goddard’s work??” while snorting a line off someone’s sink at 5am on a school night, but you can bet she’ll make it to that 9am ballet class smelling of rose petals, looking pristine and like butter wouldn’t melt on her tongue.

— very intelligent and beautiful and knows both of those facts. loves to play devil’s advocate and growing up she was always an active member of her school’s debate society. humanitarian, vegan. judgemental but takes great care not to appear so. extremely petty and vindictive. must come first. obsessively devours mystery and thriller novels. she herself is a gillian flynn book waiting to happen.

— alma definitely tries to be an enigma. she wants to be mysterious and unreadable because that’s what books have taught her makes women desirable and interesting and cool. very amy dunne in the way she expertly reinvents herself to suit her audience, when she wants to impress

— farm hands / blacksmiths / welders / carpenters / ppl who have worked at the farm that alma fucks with. it's like a power kick for her because she knew she could be absolutely vile and was basically untouchable because the moment they said anything back or didn't play into her games she would just tell her parents to fire them. can be quite emotionally manipulative and coercive. also loves to flirt with the farm hands n try to seduce them and has been doing this since she was a teenager. again, i think it's the power trip, and the idea of having a secret with them that nobody else knows about, but like, also being able to use tht against them.

– regulars at the library!! alma spends most of her time in a cage underground (its what she deserves) in the archives so if u have a character who is big into reading or might be carrying out a research project or even works for the police dept / journalist etc - alma's your girl. guards the town records with her little gloves and knows everybody's business. a real rita skeeter bitch if u will.

– didn't go into dancing professionaly but spends a good deal of time at the studio so dance partners she practices with. if there's a local company tht put on shows or smthn then i want ppl who she actually respects and views as competent peers, ppl who she’s constantly undermining to subtly dig away at their self confidence,  two dancers always goin for the same roles hate each other dynamic, i want mia goth / dakota johnson bein cute in suspiria vibe

Are some of your fics based on ocs? I read your morningstar fic and you mentioned it is oc based.

Oh! So that one i have an oc for Ithaqua i made lol her name is Helena Carter (before i learned tht mind's eye name too f) and her husband is Taylor Norwell (yes a descendant of that cursed af family lol). I made her a "skin" called Revelation based on the last book in the bible. Her background for that is basically to be sacrificial lamb to forgive all sins to create a paradise of truth and reality. Basically to opposite of Morningstar!Ithaqua lol i like him normal amount

She prob the only oc i really thought about the most.

The next one is the ballet dancer for Antonio, a Russian ballet dancer whose sister was killed when the dance troupe decided to "kill the competition".

My last one is Taylor Norwell, who is a hunter with Frollo vibes and is obsessed with his wife to the point of binding their souls together. He is a decade after Nathaniel Norwell, and is a priest too. He used a ritual to bind his and wife's soul together and their story is basically Hayloft part 1 and 2 lol and when Helena dies, he possesses her to destroy the whole village

Making ocs helps write a lot of reader inserts, i dont use their names or anything cuz it is a reader insert. Just a reference i use tbh

they have,,, sibling tension. theyre sometimes @ each others throats but other times they got each others back!!! they r v v different :( farquaads the older sibling so he feels a sort of responsibility 2 keep felicity in check but hes also. super irresponsible so it doesnt work out well </3 they dont have. a lot of interests in common tbh. farquaads more in2 dictatorship nd watchin gladiator battles nd sentencin innocent civilians 2 b tortured so often tht it strikes a fear in the kingdom 2 constantly b on their best bhavior bc if they dont they will die. nd felicities in2 doing ballet nd singing + running away from the castle grounds whenever she can. nd also picking out fun outfits 4 the terrified servants :)

there was a lot of tension nd I think they got in2 arguments often. the day when felicity ran away nd signed her humanity away, the last interaction her + farquaad had was an argument. a huge fight abt how farquaad was turning in2 something he never shouldve been. somethin tht felicity didn't recognize as her brother. she told him 2 get some help nd tht she would b back after she calmed down.
