My most meta jewellery make ever - tea caddy tin earrings made from a tea tin caddy. The illustrations on my recent vintage tin finds are so pretty and as they were embossed, it made them slightly easier to cut out. I've matched them with my own hand made ceramic beads with tea leaf design and Czech glass fired beads. It’s been a while since I’ve made any #upcycled #tinjewellery despite continually picking up fabulous #vintagetins on my travels. The one I’m working on now was a #toleware tin unusually in red (rather than black) picked up courtesy of a good friend of mine at a Kings Day flea market we visited in Utrecht. It’s been quite pleasurable to pick out key motifs from the tin, use my die punch to cut the shapes and pair each piece with beads and stones from my collection.
