as expected, will has a hard time finding a ring because, well... he's a perfectionist. he looks for the perfect ring all over florida, whenever he's travelling somewhere for his speeches but he just can't find the right one. one weekend you're out of town for a teacher conference, so will uses the opportunity to visit your mother in secret and ask for her permission to marry you (he's old-fashioned so this is a must). of course she's more than happy and when she finds out he hasn't found a ring yet, she gives him your grandmother's old engagement ring. it's small and dainty and simply perfect for you.

now that he has a ring, he actually has to actually plan the proposal which is yet another daunting prospect. it won't be one of these grand proposals that you see on tv because that's not your style. no, he wants it to be a quiet but nonetheless meaningful moment. you of course have no idea what's going on because you're too busy being happy that you're finally able to share your life with the man you truly love.

your friends obviously are happy for you so one night you invite them over to your and will's house for a girls night with light drinks and gossip. after some drinks you and your friends are already a little tipsy and they can't help but ask about your sex life with will (they've all seen him, how broad and well defined his body is so they're curious). you're a tiny little embarassed to talk about such an intimate part of your relationship but the alcohol loosens your tongue and you end up talking about will's glorious ironhead. and of course it is at that moment that will returns from his night out with the boys. "alright little missy, i think it's time for bed", he says amused and carries you to your bedroom.

it's crazy how much light you've brought into his life, will thinks. never had he ever imagined that you'd be happy with him. but the way you've wormed your way into his daily routines, how you beam at him every time he comes home or how you press a kiss to his cheek, lips or any part you can reach whenever you walk past him makes him realize how stupid he was for ever waiting so long to admit what he felt for you.

in a spur of the moment decision he proposes to you one sunday afternoon. you're busy folding the laundry and will is sitting on the coach with his laptop working on one of his speeches when you notice that he's been watching you. he's looking at you with such adoration and when you ask him what's wrong, will walks over to you and kneels down infront of you. taking your hands in his, he stares up at you with his beautiful azure blue eyes and then simply asks you the most important question of your life: "marry me, dovie?"
