Playing catch up with the #SneakyStrengthYoga challenge - I was happy Day 5 from @kathrynbruniyoung fit into my Tiny House cuz its raining ☔ 👈👈👈👈 and it can be challenging to film yoga in the tiny. #tinyhouseproblems • • • • • Low squat- but hold your body weight so you feel some effort in the lower body. Open the arms out against the knees and PRESS to wake up the shoulders! 💥HOLD that pressure while the other arm opens to twist. 💥 Drop one knee down and add the twist- keep pressing the arm against leg. 💥 Lift up to active twist L/R + tap the back of the head.💥 Double arm active external rotation, active extension into double arm Internal rotation 💥 end it off with a graceful plop 🔥 I felt this ALL OVER- especially after doing about 6 hours of computer work this morning 😬 just what my body needed! Talk about non-stop adventures...🙈😂🔥 Tonight we had a mini fire pop up! It was on a cable that plugs our RV into the house we’re staying near. It was also raining, so we realized the rain actually CAUSED the fire. But luckily- it was also the thing to put it out. - It just doesn’t get any crazier than this😂🙈 Tonight I found myself simply laughing at all the madness of things that have gone wrong while being here in VA... because there’s honestly nothing else to do. It’s either cry about it or laugh. And since I’ve done most of the crying already- I figured it was time to laugh.😅 - We knew we’d run into issues on our travels, but nobody can prepare you for how it feels to have your entire (tiny) home feel like it’s blowing up at times.🤯 Nothing else tests you, like being in control of absolutely nothing. When a home is supposed to be your safe space & ours is one we’ve put so much heart & time & work into, it hurts a bit when SO many things go wrong at once.😞 - But like I said, it all goes back to that choice we have. To either keep crying & complaining. Chad had a virtual writing session this morning with a good friend from town... & at first all I was thinking was, how cool is that?! He’s working like I do! Meeting up with homies on the computer & making things WERK🙌🏽😍 (from home!🏡) - The only NOT cool thing about it all...was when I realized, that he was on one side of the trailer talking//writing with a guy...& I wasn’t quite ready for the day or dressed yet, so I had to wander around making sure I wasn’t seen & that I wasn’t making too much noise🙈 #tinyhouseproblems - Still not too bad...until little miss Lola decide to whine & I didn’t want to interrupt the boys so I put her in her kennel thinking... she’ll probably just take a nap! but then 5 minutes later she decided to THROW up. So excited that THIS is happening in #nj. Its about time that New Jersey joins in the #tinyhousemovement as a state with a very high cost of living going tiny is a great option! I will say that being one of the first tiny homes in NJ has been an up hill battle in many ways: we are still struggling to get insurance, there are very limited parking options and many contractors just flat out dont know what you are talking about when you say it is a "Tiny House" and refuse to do work on it. #tinyhouseproblems But i am very hopeful that there will be more tiny houses in nj soon and the state will become more tiny house friendly.
