Explore and enhance your learning
Tumblr media
A great activity designed by a group of pretty conscious young people of our team. Use the info graphics and with smooth voice guide your audience through their learning perception: Welcome. We would like to start this presentation by inviting you to immerse yourself in yourself. Sit in a comfortable straight position, if you want you can sit on the floor. Put your hands on your knees. Close your eyes and bring your attention to your breathing. Relax. Slowly, breath in and breathe out. Breath out all the air in your chest and breath in again.
Imagine yourself as a new baby. You just arrived into the world, a vibrant busy world.
You are starting to develop your senses, your smell, your hearing, your touch, your taste, your sight, and you start to interact with the world, collect data and experience. What you are imagining is different, than anyone’s. What is attracting your interest is also different. You choose which data you analyse, and grow.
Freedom is as choice. This is a universal human potential. This process is true to each and everyone. It does not differ. What differs is how much we allow for this human potential to develop.
Breath and be and whenever you are ready open your eyes.
How do you feel?
Life is a learning process. We gradually identify what our weaknesses and our strengths are and develop along social constructs. In this presentation we would like to present to you both ends of the spectrum. The Yin and Yang of the learning processes. The learning disabilities and how to proactively tackle them for the optimal performance to lead our life, for the improvement of the environment for ourselves and those around us.
Peter Senge in his 90s book called the “5th Discipline” identified 7 learning disabilities, learning disabilities are tragic in children, especially when they go undetected. Thanks to this learning course we will also provide tips on how to solve them.
1.    “I am my position” – with this disability, individuals focus too closely on themselves, their own positions and responsibilities, thus missing out on bigger pictures and inter-unity. We are all human beings living in a very diverse world. Everyone knows something you don’t know. Be humble and always ready to learn.
2.    “The enemy is out there” – the disability enables us to find an external agent to blame. We all make mistakes and can relate to failure. Embrace it. Take responsibility for your actions, analyse and do not dwell, move on.
3.    “The illusion of taking charge” – it is a clogged product of our way of thinking that clouds the mind without realising. It is when reactivity is mistaken as proactivity. Strategizing is fundamental. Actions should fit our primary purpose/cause/vision for them to have meaning.
4.    “The fixation on events” – conversations and media are dominated by short-term events, leading to “event” explanations. Such near-sightedness has caused reactionary actions which can ultimately lead to the situation being worse off. Stick to the cause, it will be worth it.
5.    “The parable of the boiled frog” – where we do not see gradual changes, much like a frog in a pot will relax into drowsiness as its water is slowly heated. Take time to reflect on what’s happening around you. As Andrea or Michal or Hana or maybe Irka said “you don’t learn from experience, you learn from reflecting on it.
6.    “The delusion of learning from experience” – because some effects are beyond the current limits our awareness, we do not experience many of the effects of our actions. This is personal and it takes time. Be self-aware and conscious of your surroundings. Observe and absorb.
7.       “The myth of the management team” – Senge neatly,"...teams full of people who are incredibly proficient at keeping themselves from learning...." with this disability, management protects itself from the threat of appearing uncertain or ignorant in the face of collective inquiry, resulting in “skilled incompetence”. In other words, procrastination and apathy. Be always open to learning.
Those who lead create a tangible vision, a strategy, that would come alive into people’s minds making them aspire for a common desire. Those who lead transmit a belief, which people would want to uphold as their own belief, for their own growth and personal value. Those who lead are always ready to learn, because life is a learning process and relevance is key. Those who lead act first. Those who lead empower us. Be. Master your intention. Thank you.
