Headcanon! 🐾

- At night, Gray secretly lets Tiramisu into his room and cuddles her to sleep.

- He doesn't want the others to know (he is obviously not affectionate in broad daylight bc he doesn't want the others making fun of him and bc of his personality) so his cuddle sessions with Tiramisu happen exclusively at night. This is one of his deepest darkest secrets.

- During the day, (obviously Tiramisu is just a cute doggo and doesn't know what's going on) the rest of the boys realise that Tiramisu especially likes clinging to Gray and is always following him around.

- Gray tries to shake it off and tells Tiramisu to stay put (which hurts her feelings but he can't risk the others finding out and makes it up to her secretly by feeding her treats or playing fetch with her in private).

- Xander gets suspicious since he's usually the one who plays with Tiramisu (so she should be following him around right?) so he decides to dedicate a day to STALK Gray bc he has a hunch that Gray does spend time w Tiramisu in private for her to like him that much.

- Unfortunately, Gray catches on and Xan is unable to continue stalking him as he's very elusive.

- However, night falls again and Gray lets Tiramisu into his room again after checking the left and right hallways but little does he know, Xan was waiting for him around the corner.

- Xan brings Jamie into this and they both wait for Gray to fall asleep before sneaking into his room, Xan finally ready to get to the bottom of this and Jamie armed with a camera.

- Xan counts to 3 and he pulls back the covers while Jamie takes about 100 photos. The shots are perfect as a sleeping Gray is literally nuzzling his head into Tiramisu's soft fur.

- Gray awakes at the sound of the camera shutter and is very annoyed (he doesn't like his sleep to be interrupted) but he becomes terrified once he realises what is happening.

- He questions them and tries to use an authoritative tone but it's to no effect as Jamie is doubling over with laughter and Xan is celebrating in triumph that he finally found his secret.

- Nash enters upon hearing the commotion and smiles when he sees Gray and Tiramisu.

- A sleepy Tiramisu wakes up too and she starts barking happily upon seeing Jamie still laughing and Xan showing the photos to Nash.

- Gray's secret is revealed ✨️✨️✨️

Though Xander loves Tiramisu Panini Hawthorne and she loves him too, she prefers Grayson more. Of course, she loves whomever gives her attention but he’s her person and her chosen Hawthorne brother. Sometimes (make that several times a week), Gray has secret cuddling sessions with the puppy that may or may not end up in naps after he had a long day at the foundation.

Also, I personally think that Xander was just really hungry when he named Tiramisu in The Final Gambit and then afterwards stole away to the kitchen for some scones.

🚨⚠️⚠️SPOILERS FOR THE FINAL GAMBIT: mostly an averygrayson rant

Just finished reading it and i can say with the utmost certainty that my heart has snapped into 2😭😭😭

I will admit tho, even though i ship averygrayson with every cell in my body, I'm not VERY upset that aj were endgame. (I have cried for two hrs before coming to this conclusion) But I'm mostly pissed about the lack of content that was given to avery and gray. Their moments, while beautiful and amazing, were always very minimal. And as a shipper, i would have loved some more bonding moments between them even if the endgame remained the same in the end.

Also my bb gray deserved sooo much more in this book.😭😭 I mean, we finally had a book focusing on him and yet the growth and healing shown was not very much. I am glad that jlb gave us a peek into his trauma but. WE. NEEDED. MORE

Also can someone pls tell me what to do so that i can see Grayson Davenport Hawthorne genuinely happy for once in his life.😭😭 He deserves all the happiness and therapy in this world.

I actually liked Jameson in this book. His trauma is also truly heartbreaking and made me cry like a baby😭

Nevertheless, excellent book. The mystery and storyline was wrapped up quite beautifully. AND THE BONUS SCENE WAS JUST 🤌🤌✨🤌🤌🤌✨🤌✨🤌✨🤌.

However, I will always stand by averygrayson. They are the loml and jlb did them dirty. They are soulmates and the DEFINITION of wasted potential and i know, no matter what, a part of them will love eachother forever. 🥹🥹

Here is my fourth and probably last The Final Gambit update. After the last post I feel the need to clarify that this is not a review, it’s not very nuanced at all, it’s basically just word vomit of my opinions. The quality will be questionable but hopefully this will be at least somewhat entertaining. If you are not particularly interested in reading me complain and celebrate random details feel free to keep scrolling. Now honestly I don’t mind debates in my comments as long as they are good natured and don’t include rude behavior and such. Moving on, this will have spoilers for chapter 68 to the end.

“That sonofabitch” My thoughts exactly Nash, now I get everything the boys ever said about the old man, I’d hate him too.

“And now that Gray is okay,” Jameson said close behind me, “now that he’s so delightfully human and ready to move on from Emily…” “Don’t finish that question.” Again, if this isn’t the most toxic relationship ever

For a second there I thought Avery was gonna bet her entire fortune on the chess game but then I remembered she’s not a stupid idiot

Nevermind! She really is a stupid idiot! The deal was that if Eve lost both matches she’d have to serve someone, if she won one she’d get a seal, and if she won both she’d get all five seals. If Toby lost both he’d be stuck with the Blakes, if he won one he’d be able to leave but he’d have to admit he was alive, and if he won both he’d get to leave freely. If Avery lost both she’d give Blake a blank check, if she won one he’d release Grayson and not take anyone hostage again, and if she won both he’d also keep Sheffield Grayson a secret. This is basically just the prisoners dilemma to anyone familiar with it, the most logical thing to do is to let each of them win one, sure it’s not perfect and things would blow up but it’s the only solution. But what does Avery do? She beats Toby, sentencing him to life as a Blake 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Shes a double stupid idiot because she did actually bet her fortune on this, it payed off but still, if she doesn’t find a way to free Toby I’m gonna be so, so mad

I only have 2 chapters left! How is this gonna be fixed in 2 chapters!? Also if Grayson hasn’t happened yet I don’t see it happening 😒

😐 not going to lie with the huge buildup I expected the big announcement to be something more interesting then Avery giving away the majority of her money

I’m reading the B&N exclusive chapters and Tiramisu Panini Hawthorne is the cutest thing ever.

“Grayson Hawthorne drew the line at eyeliner. Or at least, that was where he drew the line until Thea brought in reinforcements.” Okay at least Gray is doing better

Well, I finished it. Toby is still a Blake. Team Grayson is still dead.

Ngl I’m pretty disappointed by the ending of this. I liked book 1 and 2 more, I did not like how Grayson was basically tortured throughout this and how in my opinion Jameson had some toxic aspects. At least I can sleep at night knowing that Xanders dad is NICE. Though I’m not sure if we will ever know who Jamesons dad is, imagine Jennifer reveals one day that you have to solve a riddle imbedded in the books to figure out who his dad is or something, would be very on brand for Jameson. Still debating my star rating so it’s not set in stone yet but at the moment it’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars.
