NEW EPISODE CONFIRMED GUYS IM SHAKING

i was watching tv with my mom and and a commercial for season 4 came on (with no new footage unfortunately), however at the very end of it in huge letters it said NEW EPISODE THURSDAY MARCH 23RD AT 9PM and i had to go check and???? LOOK ITS TRUE!!!!  if you can read the summary at the top its very vague but nonetheless the little red dot with ‘new’ beside it in the corner means its an episode we havent seen and WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE BUT THE LOST SPECIAL

ive been a little mia in the tjlc community since tfp so im not sure if thursday is significant in any way?? does anyone know??

Photoshoot inspired by the TJLC community, that in the middle of ups and downs gathered lots of evidences, analysis, metaphors and studies that pointed to an explicit concretization of John and Sherlock’s romantic relationship in Sherlock BBC. Despite the current course of queerbaiting the show seems to take, TJLC is still working and ramifying. Those three years of “conspiracy” served not only to produce more than 50 hours of video content on Youtube or countless essays and metas from Tumblr to Google Drive, but also to awake in its members a hunger for careful and attentive readings of fiction. “One day the true story may be told”, said Arthur Conan Doyle in his last words for Sherlock Holmes. There’s no doubt in that. And if destiny is fair, the story will be told by the hands of a TJLCer. Get ready to believe and keep believing. TJLC has its own life and we’re part of it.

It’s all fine.

If you think the entire show takes place in Sherlock’s mind, that’s perfectly valid. If you think none of it does, that’s also perfectly valid. If you think Sherlock is trans, that’s valid; if you think he’s ace or demi, that’s valid too. If you think John never loved Mary, or fully loved her, or only loved the idea of her, those are all valid. If you think they’ll kiss in the first scene of Season 4, or not until Season 5, that’s valid. If you still have your doubts about TJLC or think it’s necessary for the continuation of the universe, that’s valid. If you think every single design choice was deliberate or that most were coincidences, that’s valid. If you think Moriarty was in love with Sherlock or is incapable of emotion, that’s valid. If you think Irene could not have loved Sherlock or that she did, that’s valid. If you think Mycroft, Janine, and Molly are all villains or that none of them are, that’s valid. If you think the entire show is actually the ravings of a drugged canon Holmes, that’s also valid.

These readings are not intrinsically homophobic or wrong; at most, some are simply improbable. The TJLC community was founded on values of free expression, LGBT+ representation, open-mindedness, and exploration of the many possible directions this show could take. We formed a creative and inclusive space where those shunned by mainstream viewers could lay out their theories. It’s why I fell in love with TJLC; it’s why I think many of you did, too.

So to see some of the vitriol directed at people with doubts or with more niche theories--I’m not just talking EMP here, I mean anything--is not just shocking, but antithetical to the values we hold dear.

TJLCers. stand up for each other. Be open to or at least considerate of people whose readings differ from yours. If you see a friend behaving in a way that doesn’t fit with common standards of decency, tell them.  It’s not a matter of ignoring theories we disagree with, just of replacing harmful fights with constructive debates.

We’re all in the same boat here. Let’s keep HMS Johnlock afloat.

I’m aware this is widely known fact but still: the johnlock kiss will be so beautiful in every sense, both inside the show for Sherlock and John, and irl for all of us, because this will be the moment when it’s clear we were right to believe, that we will be getting a proper queer representation, and it will be the end of antis messing with us (maybe not entirely but quite better than what we got now), this will be so beautiful I already have tears filling my eyes just to think about it. Imagine it, the happiness of seeing Sherlock and John FINALLY together and happy, and the relief we’ll feel! omg this will be so beautiful.

hello everyone,

i’m really sorry about the radio silence recently, i didn’t have time to maintain this blog as much so it kind of died down. now, after the events of the final problem, as it’s needed more than ever, tjlc positivity is now back.

as suggested by this anon, i’m going to be making a list of self-care and positive resources to help everyone, who feels down as a result of the final problem!

please send us any suggestions that you have! it can be your favourite fic or art, it can be fic or art that you’ve created, a playlist you’ve made, a song that makes you feel better, anything at all that comes to mind! i will be combining them and releasing them on a weekly (if content allows) basis! with a cute graphic attached!

please tell me if you’re okay for me to quote you on the list - i’m thinking a buzzfeed-article-type thing with the list containing short quotes from people on how this particular thing helps them feel better

You've been such a positive light in the TJLC community, and if you want to move on, I completely understand. But I don't doubt that you'll still be a light in the dark for any community you're in. Hey I saw other people do this so here goes: I haven't been a part of TJLC for very long - I wanted to get into it for ages but it all looked so daunting and I figured I could never read all that meta etc but then I found Rebs and her yt series and I just wanted to tell xer how much I appreciate it. It made tjlc accessible to me, and it was just wonderful to see xer bravery and conviction. Despite what's happened, they can't take that away from us. You're wonderful Rebekah; a national treasure.
