What would our world be like without art?

Without art I think our world would be a very sad and dull place, because art is in everything. When I think about how the world would be without art I think about a book I read as a child entitled The Giver. This book was about a society in which people had no individuality, and could not make any decisions on their own. People wore the same clothes, did the exact same thing everyday, and they even had the same thoughts. This is how I envision the world without art.
