he definitely does but. i am absolutely terrible at coming up with last names so… it’s a mystery for now (not trying to be cryptic or hint at lore i’m just genuinely bad at coming up with last names for characters LOL)

fun fact though, when i first created Anton almost two years ago, his last name at the time was Soulless. so he could also be called Dr Soulless and i thought that sounded sooo super cool. i kinda abandoned that because like,, whose last name is Soulless that’s so cringe /lh (and that guy never went to college he has no doctorate to begin with!!! nobody’s calling you “dr” loser!!! (he didn’t need college anyway he was raised by Pierce he’s a genius))

also during that time, his name Anton was short for Antonius… so it was Antonius Soulless hahaha. do with this information what you will

10 — What is your favorite whumpy story you have written?

oof I can't think of a shorter one (except the little oneshot idea for the uarad and tllr crossover I had so much fun writing that) but I am. SO proud of htkai chapter 1. rayan and foster n shit were my first EVER batch of ocs and I'm so glad I've managed to start a series and it's like the longest thing I've ever written regarding my ocs.

12 — What is one of the strangest things you have had to research for your whumpy writing?

hmm, I can't think of one from the top of my head but I do think I searched up at one point how long it would take for someone to die of like. amputation without proper medical equipment?? I think that was back when rayan wasn't immortal lmao that was a while ago!

24 — Do you have any whump pet peeves? Meaning things that just bug you when you see them in a fanfic.

hmmm!! I can't really think of a pet peeve to do with whump specifically, but I am very picky about like. grammar. I don't know why I just like grammar (I know that may not seem believable by the way I normally type /j) a bit of missing grammar is fine but if it's through like. the entire thing it's a bit icky?? I'm not sure I'm just kinda picky lmao 😭😭

Would Anton ever create a jackalope or chimera kind animal friend for himself? He could combine all good traits into one friendo! Also, would he give Dew horns? I think horns/antlers as a supernatural body part are really cool (and Dew could stab him with it 👀)

YESS!!! HE TOTALLY WOULD!!! ethically of course!! he’s definitely probably done that before and let them go into the wilderness to be free. there’s jackalopes wandering around the forest living their best lives. they are best friends!!! silly animals!!!!

i’ve never thought about giving Dew horns before but that does seem really cool now that i’m thinking about it!! Anton would definitely do that for fun, idk if i’ll make it canon but it’s something he would wanna do! Dew with horns looks so cool honestly i love it thanks for the ask!!

hi i’m at a noisy family party yk how it goes and it just came to mind

do dew and anton celebrate christmas?? and if not what holidays do they enjoy celebrating (if any :3).

hi i’m also at a noisy family christmas party (i celebrate christmas) (literally telling everyone about the lords in black right now because i’m so autistic about them)

Dew is atheist but he celebrates holidays with his friends a lot :) he does celebrate christmas (and he’s always celebrated it) along with Layla and Hayden! Sawyer’s jewish and celebrates Hanukkah! they all spend time with each other during the holidays its very fun silly times

as for Anton… i’m gonna say he and Pierce never celebrated any holidays cuz Pierce is a BITCH /lh. they were too busy violating the laws of physics and didn’t have time for stuff like that unfortunately. but they did celebrate birthdays! Anton.. used to celebrate his birthday! although… he hasn’t celebrated it in some time… five years to be exact… hm……..

also of course they ALL celebrate halloween, the BEST holiday. Anton doesn’t get trick or treaters that deep in the forest but he likes dressing up and eating candy

i don’t know what i could share now that wouldn’t be a spoiler but it’s not THAT far away until some of Anton’s past will be revealed. chapter 18 (or 19 because i just have to keep adding new stuff in between LOL) is like a huge very important chapter and i am sooo so so so excited for it it’s making me lose my minddd. big stuff is revealed. stuff that makes me cry thinking about /pos. twists and turns everywhere. new character. very important amazing new character that is my favorite tllr blorbo ever

so yeah we WILL see a lot with Anton pre-Dew!!! a lot that i can’t reveal yet unfortunately because i hate spoiling stuff, but i’m VERY excited!!!!!

alr let me explain. so one day i was thinking like, hm, what would a tllr sequel be like? so (knowing how tllr is gonna end) i sketched out a design for Anton for like, maybe 10 years in the future? or something idk, but here’s future Anton (obvs this might change and there probably won’t be a sequel (since i’m not even close to finishing the actual series lmao) but its still cool to think about)!

now WHY does he look like that?? what’s going on with his eye? that weird scar? is hair? it will all be revealed… eventually…

(also i was giggling drawing this because i accidentally made him look like a mix between will wood and jonathan sims, at least that’s what he reminds me of for some reason lmao)

🎵 - Which OC has the most similar music taste to you, and which OC has the least similar music taste to you?

i think Dew has the most similar music taste to me because he listens to a lot of alternative/indie which is stuff i like too. some artists i feel like Dew would listen to are glass beach, arcadia grey, alex g, lemon demon, idkhow, ricky montgomery, radiohead, maybe jhariah, probably mcr, he’d definitely listen to weezer, and he probably also had a cavetown phase, and stuff like that. he doesn’t have my exact music taste because that would include will wood and idk if i’m gonna make him canon to tllr mainly because his songs hugely inspired Anton’s character LOLL. Dew also listens to a lot of video game and cartoon music like he’d definitely listen to the undertale or adventure time soundtracks allll the time too.

Anton definitely has the least similar music taste to me because that man does not listen to music at all and that’s honestly his only negative trait in my eyes /j. but really, he just doesn’t listen to music. maybe an instrumental here and there in the background but otherwise it’s really distracting for him. he prefers to listen to natural sounds like the rain or birds chirping or screams of agony yk? or i can see him listening to podcasts, like in another life he’d probably be a tma fan hahhaha. if he did listen to music though, it’d be closer to will wood’s genre (because that’s the music i associate him with) but like specifically the really noisy chaotic sounding ones

anyway my favorite artists (that i will spend listening to on repeat for literal months on end) are will wood, harley poe, jhariah, and toby fox :)

one of Dew’s worst memories is when he got into an argument with his friends and they blew up his minecraft world

one of Anton’s worst memories is when somebody ate the last cookie from his secret stash :(

(sorry my brains farting i can’t really think of super specific bad memories for Anton and Dew besides things i’ve already talked about (Dew’s parents dying, getting kidnapped, or Anton spoiler stuff, so you get the silly stuff :P)

“...Dew?” Anton was standing in the kitchen. It was three in the morning, and he had no idea why he was sleeping out there. Anton had woken up to darkness, pulled himself up and almost tripped on an empty flask of… something. He felt a chain around his wrist and quickly turned on the dim yellow light above the stove. He followed where the chain led, and saw Dew sleeping peacefully on the couch, his headphones on his head playing music from the mp3 player.

What the fuck happened last night?

Anton didn’t remember anything. Of course he didn’t, he chose to cope with the loss of his friend by drinking random mixtures of chemicals he had laying around. But, apparently one thing led to another and they were having a sleepover in the kitchen? He gave Dew his stuff back? What the fuck?

“Hey,” Anton whispered. “Hey, Dew. Are you awake?”

No response.

Anton rushed to Dew’s side, panic filled him as he shook his test subject’s shoulders, trying to wake him. The moment only lasted a second, and Dew groggily recoiled away from Anton’s touch and turned his head to the side, whimpering in his sleep… He was still asleep. He was sleeping.

Anton breathed a sigh of relief. He was overreacting of course. It was only a full day since he lost Basil, and his mind needed time to process. Besides, Basil wasn’t the only little thing Anton had to take care of. His test subject was still here. He still had Dew.

Once Anton was calmed down, he removed the chain from each of their wrists. He then took off Dew’s headphones and turned off the music. How Dew could sleep in a comfortable position with his headphones covering his ears and his wings on his back, taking up the majority of the couch space, was a mystery to him.

Anton set Dew’s things in his lab coat pocket, and picked up his glasses from the floor as well. He gently picked Dew up into a bridal carry, careful not to wake him. Anton’s head was pounding, Dew being awake and asking questions was the last thing he needed right now.

Anton didn’t turn on any lights as he walked towards Dew’s room. He’d worked in the lab all his life and had the entire layout memorized, he didn’t need light to get around. So he didn’t turn them on, they would definitely not help his headache either.

So when Anton entered Dew’s room and tucked into bed, he failed to notice the absolute mess Dew had left it in, the chair lying on its side, and the broken camera on the floor.

And he failed to notice the open latch of the vents.
