I’m seriously starting to wonder if those TLW-GQ writers even watch their own show, or at least the previous episode. 

Alice and Nat? Uh, how about no! Especially since Alice just finally seemed to have made a right choice for once with Tom (probably her best match since Tasha). Finley and Sophie mainly having sex and not knowing stuff about each other? Uhm, haven’t they been friends for years? Bette and Pippa? Well, that’s  something we haven’t seen ten times before (/sarcasm). I’m telling you, the list goes on and on.

Also why do these people keep going to the same events? They live in LA for f*ck sake, they don’t have to run into each other on every street corner. Or worse, to be in each other’s faces with their new (or stolen) lovers. 

I don’t want to, but I really can’t mention much good about this ep. 

Except for that last Dani and Gigi scene (I feel like they are the only ones who actually talk in this show, and I’m glad they’re at least trying to take it slow) and for Shane and Tess bringing Carrie home (and finally kissing, but especially bringing Carrie home) (I really cared for Carrie this week; I still don’t think she and Tina are a match, but I do feel her struggles).

it’s my own fault that i’m sad about 1x07 of tlw gq. i know this. it doesn’t change a thing. i’m still sad about it already even tho i don’t know 100% what happens. but i can kind of put two and two together from the promo. i’m just disappointed that what i wanted doesn’t seem to be happening and i just... hate the predictability of where this seems to be going. it’s fine. i’ll be fine. i’m just gonna be sad for a week and then potentially for another week and then i’ll get over it when the season is over.

i'm so sorry but i'm gonna complain actually

why do you have a musical ep and then the part where alice is going through self reflection isn't her singing. like girl. if you actually approached this episode with the right mindset aka i want to tell a story where music is the only medium that can tell it you'd not do That. best musicals have characters sing when they can't speak, the songs are an insight into their minds. would actually make so much sense to have alice wonder (Through A Song) why it wasn't right with anyone and listing their flaws and then eventually arriving at thoughts of pushing people away and thoughts of dana if that's what they were going for

and as happy as i am to see dana <3333 they really just did such a disservice to them in my eyes. and that's for two reasons: 1) the entire vibe of gen q is so much more... artificial than the original in some way and feels like it takes itself too seriously that the real alice/dana vibes just weren't there. like if you watched gen q but never watched the original there is no way you could tell what was special and endearing about their relationship and show me like any scene from s2 of the original and it gets through immediately. like idk not sure what i expected but it could have been so much better 2) it feels like just bringing dana to push alice into tom's arms which is honestly just kind of insulting
