So in 2022 (I believe), I had a little project in mind to make a TMP3, and this was a sponsor card:

Just learned Jackbox is going to include micro-transactions and in-game purchases for Trivia Murder Party 3…

I knew the series would devolve into this normalcy of annoying greedy devs just like the rest of every developer team on this planet. Fucking Hell.

Plus they’re making it look like TMP3 is going to be less of a party game and more of a mobile-game like. This absolutely sucks. I’d rather just stick with regular TMP and not have to deal with ‘progression’ and shit like that. Wait a few months and they’ll announce in-game ads soon. Ugh.

sorry if this violates your no drama rule but i just rly need to say that as time goes on i feel like we as a fandom have started to gain this negative bad vibes outlook. and this is absolutely not to invalidate anyone who’s upset at any of the stuff going on with tmp3 (like the transactions) or the fact that we haven’t gotten a ydkj in 7 years because i’m pretty mad at that too !! also heard that people who criticize this are blocked by jb on social sites which doesn’t sit well with me either. i’m just saying that our fandom seems to take jackbox/ydkj a little bit too seriously in general. it’s a comedy game, we’re supposed to be having fun. again as i mentioned i am not talking about people who are upset at the big valid real world things, i’m mostly talking about those who take every tidbit of “lore” as irrefutably canon and shit on those who don’t, esp because they literally mention in one of the games that they “make this shit up” iirc. i just wish we could like hold hands and laugh and be joyous for once ig, someone always has something to be mad or somber about in this fandom and it’s getting to me. recognize that it is a joke for once chat
