I’ve been making (and refurbishing and repairing) a lot of stuff lately. ^^; See me and my friends wearing it all at Otakon this weekend! I’ll be with my chocobros @anythingooo hosting Friday’s Final Fantasy shoot (Prompto) and will turn up at various times and places as Prompto, Zell, Fat Chocobo, or Ucchi (Kyoryuger)! Say hi!

So, this is what I’ve been doing lately. That’s right, my cosplay group for Otakon is gonna be FULLY ARMED AND OPERATIONAL. Well. Not operational. Prompto doesn’t want anything confiscated. (Never let anyone tell you that using a 3d printed kit is somehow cheating. For the record, this shit does not come with instructions and every piece has to be meticulously trimmed, sanded, and fitted. I’m still awaiting assorted baggies of parts for a trident, a spear, and oh gods help us Gladio’s War Sword.)

Selfie practice. Sneak preview from the boardwalk shoot this weekend from my chocobros at Anything Goes Cosplay ( @anythingooo -follow them for more pics!) we had a fantastic time, got some fantastic shots, and baffled many people. Various events of RDD were made real. I’m not saying which, but the employees of the Pink Coeurl are gracious and savvy as always. Thanks Noct @kitarinastala for the wig rescue! ❤️ (No thanks for then getting it full of sand along with all the rest of meeeeeaugh)

Feeling good about my makeup, but looking for a new base foundation today. It is fifty degrees and raining and I’m at work. I miss Galdin Quay.

Now at last I can talk about my batshit mission to convince my BFF to dress up as a luxury car from a video game for Otakon. As far as I know this is the first Regalia cosplay proper, but I suspect from the reactions we got it won’t be the last–it was an undeniable hit. Nothing like making people scream OH MY GOOODD at a license plate hanging off your ass multiple times a day to confirm it was all worth the effort!

The full kit included a necklace of dashboard dials, hubcaps on the knees and wrists, the license plate, steering wheel earrings, and a fascinator with the chocobo-talon logo, plus a healthy dash of insanity on all our parts. But none of it would have been possible without xixdegrees’ ability to radiate class and quiet menace, and also a pervailing sense that someone was gonna get wrecked before it was all over. Thanks for that. But mostly, thanks for being our old girl.

Hey, I’m going to be at Otakon this weekend with my Gay Destiny Boyfriends, so if you want to say hi or yell at me for spending all summer making a buncha cosplay instead of writing more fic, now’s yer chance! FFVIII on Friday (Zell), FFXV on Saturday (Prompto), and beach-casual Yugioh on Sunday. (Out of cosplay I’m a fat chick with rainbow hair and a nerdy tshirt, though I realize this does not narrow the field.)

I need Regalia dials for... reasons, but couldn't find/do a screencap of printable size that didn't look like ass, and all the proportions were janked up, so I got my ass on ms paint and made my own.
