the WoL’s leitmotif showing up in so many of the sad cutscenes w ardbert and just in general w the sad moments in ShB is very much I Am Thinking
#how the two of them are parallels but the same. two sides of a coin#ardbert’s story of tradegy and loss…why did the WoL succeed when he didn’t? what makes them so different?#it’s double layered bc it’s usually a song played during triumphant moments of the narrative#overcoming the impossible#but it’s used in these sad moments—I think a lot after mt gulg#which is really the most downtrodden moment#it’s just so cool to take that song and turn it on it’s head#to show the grief and trepidation of the WoL#owen plays ffxiv#shadowbringers spoilers
