met a girl last night who’s a tv writer, we got to chatting about writing and she asked to see my short stories, so i sent her a couple of the published ones. didn’t really think anything of it but like i’m always happy to get anyone to read a short story (and particularly mine bc i love attention). anyway she sent me a GIANT wall of text breaking down what she liked about each one and it was so thoughtful and wonderful and i absolutely cried reading it. made my whole day! sometimes people are so gloriously kind when you don’t even expect it 🖤
