Made a ref sheet of my very first SkyKid for fun

I downloaded Nomad Sculpt onto my iPad tonight and tried it out, with Billy as my first victim of course (didn't look up any reference, apologies to Dacre lmao) and oh man is it fun! I still haven't watched a tutorial, but was hoping it would be intuitive for artists and I managed to make this out of 2 gray spheres and a buncha noodles, so I'd say it is! It's at least very fun to play with. I tapped out working on the hair after a bit, but hey! It's half a 3D Billy head lol!

Been curious how a nalbound bag would go, and a few weeks ago I was gifted the perfect yarn to play with. Turned out great, I think! The shoulder strap and white stripes are… appliqué? Made post-facto but attached as they were made. Haven’t settled on if I want a button or a toggle. HMMMMM Don’t know all the vocab- Finnish 2+2. Most connections were F1. Connection loops for the stripes/strap were picked up after the +2 of the stitch but before the stitch was finished.

I feel like it's a valid design choice across the souls games that forces you to think carefully about how you order your spells and purposefully imposes limits on how much you can do at once.

Seeing a lot of people call it a "flaw" and like...sure it's a little cumbersome, and given the sheer amount of spells present in Elden Ring compared to the previous games, as well as the increased speed of bosses, it could've done with a bit of a rework. (There's zero need for a different system in any of the other dark souls games, there just...isn't that much variety, and combat is slower, and being slow and deliberate is the name of the game)

But also some things are supposed to be a little cumbersome in these games, and it's sort of one of the few cumbersome things left in Elden Ring.

Also given that spellcaster builds tend to be very very powerful, having slightly cumbersome spell scrolling is a very small tradeoff, especially since Elden Ring is not a game that revolves around casting spells; it's an option, not a core piece of the combat. It can stand to come with an extremely mild drawback.

(Admittedly, there are many ashes of war in this game that can even render spells obsolete, so being able to map some spells or something would be very neat. I'm not saying it wouldn't be. But I think it's disrespectful to call it a game flaw.)

Hello random (possibly stupid) question, but what kind of laptop do you use? I’ve been trying to find a good decent one for quite a while for my own soon to be creative projects.

HP pavilion 15, I've had it since 2023 so coming on 2 years now

specs wise, the settings list a 12th gen Intel Core and 16 GB ram

I can't speak much about the battery life because I only ever use it while it's plugged in

I'm able to have Krita open alongside discord and ~100 Firefox tabs, it usually handles that fine enough, at about 120 tabs it starts to lag

if I close everything aside from Firefox I'm able to run nightshade on it. Albeit with a lot of lag and some audio glitching, if I close Firefox the night shading goes a lot faster and smoother of course, but just to give an idea of what the computer can put up with without crashing

that being said, it cost just under $900 after tax so it did take quite a bit of saving, but I've never had any major issues with it, and it does what I need it to do smoothly

I read that you have problem with your AO3 text after copy pasting. Did you check if it was on rich text? Because the default if html and you need to manually edit if that was the case

no yeah i always paste it on rich text

i meant that in the sense that i used to paste it on rich text and then just correct grammar and be done w it? but then one time i did the exact same and the formatting got squished for whatever reason. so i manually went back to edit (in rich text) and added extra spacing. things were fine for a while, i'd just paste it in rich text and then manually modify the spacing, but then one day it was as if it- reverted? and when i posted it the spacing was WAY too much. like it would've been fine if i hadn't added the extra space, like it wasn't going to squish my pasted text anymore. so i went oh ok cool it fixed itself.

and then like after two other times of only pasting and posting, it once again squished my text today

hot take but a playable silver should not move at the same speeds as sonic and shadow by default. like a telekinesis ability inherently promotes a more puzzle-based gameplay that can also involve physics and the like and trying to do shit like that with a character who zip zooms all over the place is Not Great. having an Option to go fast by utilizing different telekinesis abilities in some way would be perfectly fine but i do not think you should be allowed to just tilt the left stick to the brim and move just as fast as sonic and shadow
