In these times I feel it is necessary to address the importance of meditation more than ever. But before getting any further.... meditation doesn't mean becominv emotionally impotent...it actually leads us to a more open hearted approach to our surrounding. So here are some quick tips on meditation! 1- find a comfortable position....it doesn't have to be a lotus posture. 2- focusing on an object does not mean obsessing over it, it just means you are resting your eyes on it. 3- when feeling an emotion don't suppress it. Lean into it. That is feel it, acknowledge its presence but don't investigate it. If it persists imagine yourself becoming this emotion and resting into it as you and it dissolve into each other. 4- when thoughts arise don't suppress them just let them come to the surface like bubbles again don't investigate their presence. 5- if you find yourself surrounded by other people's emotions consider it a space don't try to erase it or pretend it's not there just be in it and don't play with it. 6- and don't forget that there is a focus object If you want to learn more on meditation and other techniques book a phone session on our etsy page!
