A silicon wafer serves as the substrate shape. Advanced electrical gadgets are produced using it. The integrated circuit tech employed in automobiles, consumer electronics, and related sectors has broad applicability.
The wafer type category with the highest revenue contribution was RF-SOI. This is brought on by sophisticated LTE devices' growing RF-SOI use. A further factor driving the rise of the RF-SOI category is the increase in global investments in constructing 5G networks.
The 200 mm segment has the most share when looking at wafer sizes. This is mostly due to the ongoing demand from North America and APAC for RF-SOI substrates (radio frequency applications), specially made for the mobility and automotive industries.
Dynamics of Silicon on Insulator Market
Global SOI market expansion is driven by the increasing need for SOIs in consumer electronics. This is due to their use in consumer electronics like tablets, smartphones, laptops, digital cameras, and other gadgets.
The increased popularity of smartphones with 3G/4G LTE Multimode connection, enhanced multimedia features, and location awareness abilities will drive demand for SOIs. The most smartphone demand has been seen in places like APAC and Latin America. The global need for smartphones is rising due to expanding internet usage and digitization.
Additionally, the need for smartphones is predicted to rise throughout the projected period due to the arrival of 5G technology. Additionally, growing industrialization and rising per capita disposable income in nations like China and India are major causes of boosting mobile device sales.
Surging Acceptance of AI and ML
There is a lot of potential for SOI wafers in consumer electronics. In recent years, the consumer electronics sector has been leading the pack by adding new revolutionary technologies, such as AI and ML, into its products.
By integrating AI and ML into their daily operations, businesses may explore new growth opportunities while also enhancing the consumer experience. All consumer electronic products now have these disruptive innovations fueled by technology.
Voice-enabled gadgets and smart TVs are gaining the most popularity, but conventional electronics like smartphones, TVs, computers, cameras, and speakers are also becoming more popular. By integrating and utilizing AI and ML, the consumer electronics sector is undergoing a reboot and may see great breakthroughs like never before.
Geographical Analysis
In the past, the APAC region had the greatest market share worldwide, accounting for 55.4%. In APAC, nations like Japan, China, and South Korea are putting more emphasis on rolling out and growing 5G network services over the next several years. Japan is aggressively investing in 5G technology for enhanced network coverage and connection and is prepared to implement it before the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic.

Paralympic Stars Highlight Strong Competition Level As Paris 2024 Qualification Deadline Looms
Tumblr media
Fazza Dubai Para Badminton International: 2023 has been a roller-coaster year for India’s Para shuttler Krishna Nagar. From the lows of injury and early exits in tournaments to gold medal shows in BWF Level-1 events and the silver in the Asian Para Games, the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic champion admitted that the year was about testing oneself in rough times and overcoming it with hard work and determination."After a few rough months with injury and almost no training, I regained my rhythm in Thailand in May 2023. The second half of the year was much better with more focus, training, and determination. I am looking to finish the year on a high in Dubai,” said Nagar after winning his men’s singles SH6 Group B game against Indonesia’s Subhan Subhan at the ongoing 5th Fazza Dubai Para Badminton International 2023. “The silver in Asian Para Games was a big confidence booster,” added the 24-year-old who also won gold medals in Canada and England this year. The Jaipur-based shuttler also highlighted that the competition in SH6 category has been very strong with the top 10 world ranked players unleashing variety and variations in their game. “One must give his best in every game – you cannot take any game easy. The level of the competition is very high in every championship,” he added. Nagar also singled out Hong Kong’s top seed Chu Man Kai as the toughest player in the men’s singles SH 6 event. “He has been one player who is difficult to beat. He (Man Kai) relies on his rallies, so one must be very patient.” The Indian shuttler is hoping to defend his title in Paris. “I hope to play good competition, play long rallies, and try not to make mistakes.” Much like Nagar, England’s third seed Jack Shephard wants to ride on his two gold medals at the European Championships to finish the year on a high. “It has been a good year and I have the two European Championships which is a big motivation to work even harder. It’s ongoing work to keep improving. I am aiming for two gold medals at the Paris 2024 Paralympics,” said Shephard who overcame China's Lin Naili 21-19, 14-21, 21-15 in men’s singles SH6 Round 2 Group C game. The round robin matches in the 5th Fazza Dubai Para Badminton International 2023 continues on Wednesday with the knock-out matches beginning on Thursday. Read the full article

COVID-19 Impact on the Sports Medicine Market
The COVID-19 outbreak has upended many lives and businesses on an unprecedented scale. Due to the pandemic, most organized sports activities have been on hold or postponed. In March 2020, the International Olympic Committee postponed the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympic to 2021. Such developments are expected to significantly affect the growth of the global market in the coming months.
According to The CovidSurg Collaborative, a 120-country research initiative formed to analyze the impact of the COVID- 19 pandemic on surgeries, around 28.4 million elective surgeries worldwide will be canceled or postponed in 2020, based on 12 weeks of peak disruption to hospital services due to COVID-19.
This collaborative has also estimated that orthopedic procedures will be the most frequently canceled procedures, with 6.3 million orthopedic surgeries canceled worldwide over 12 weeks. The growth of the sports medicine market is halted due to the Covid-19 outbreak but is expected to be restored once the situation stabilises.

The incidence of ligament tears and fractures is high among people participating in sports. Also, the lower extremity constitutes a major portion of sports injuries, globally.
With the increasing participation in sports (among children as well as adults) and subsequent growth in the incidence of sports injuries, the demand for injury management and rehabilitation is expected to increase across the globe. This is considered a positive indicator of the growth of the sports medicine market.
Similar to implants and prosthetics, regenerative medicine procedures are also expensive. For instance, the cost of a single PRP injection typically ranges from USD 500–2,000, whereas the cost of bone marrow stem cell injections ranges from USD 2,000–5,000 or more. Such therapeutic procedures often require more than one treatment, thus raising their overall cost.
Sports medicine is widely used for the prevention of sports injuries as well as for the cure, recovery, and rehabilitation of athletes. The sports medicine applications market is segmented into knee injuries, shoulder injuries, foot & ankle, elbow & wrist, back & spine, hip & groin, and other injuries.
The knee injuries segment held the largest share of the market in 2019, a trend that is expected to continue during the forecast period. The large share of this segment can be attributed to the fact that a large number of knee injuries are recorded across major sports, globally, accounting for approximately 40% of all injuries due to sports.
The major vendors in the global sports medicine market include Arthrex, Inc (US), Smith & Nephew plc (UK), Stryker Corporation (US), Breg Inc. (US), DJO Global, Inc. (US), Mueller Sports, Inc. (US), Wright Medical Group N.V. (US), Medtronic (Ireland), RTI Surgical (US), Performance Health International Limited (US), KARL STORZ (Germany), and Bauerfeind AG (US), Össur (Iceland), MedShape (US), Cramer Products (US),  Biotek ( India), RôG Sports Medicine (US).

Shinzo Abe's Speech at the Moonie-Affiliated UPF's "Rally of Hope"
Tumblr media
The following is Shinzo Abe’s speech from the September 2021 Rally of Hope. Bolding was done by HWDYKYM. Yamagami is known to have seen this video in March or April 2022.
I am Shinzo Abe, former prime minister of Japan. It is an honor for me to speak at this Rally of Hope hosted by UPF in the presence of heads of state, parliamentarians, and religious leaders from 150 countries, addressing today's problems and engaging in dialogue on how to create a better world, especially in relation to the peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula.
My hopes are high for Think Tank 2022, which is set to be launched this time, to play a significant role. In honoring Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon and all of you, I would like to express my profound thanks for your tireless efforts in resolving disputes in the world.
While the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics were held amid the ongoing pandemic, they have become a special historical event and were safely concluded amind much hope and inspiration. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone around the world for their support. Despite numerous hurdles, including an unprecedented one-year delay, no athletes allowed to go outside of the athletes' village, and games held without spectators, seeing athletes who attended the opening gave the world much-needed strength and inspiration, and I think we lit a path for the future.
Sharing such inspirational moments transcending ideology, religion, ethnicity, nation, and race enabled the world to once again realize the bond that unites humankind.
Globally, people are experiencing anxiety over COVID, where people are trying to decided whether totalitarian states or democratic states are superior. Human bonds can never be formed by force. Inspiration and sympathy must be voluntary, and the bond between people should be based on freedom and democracy. Some countries, including totalitarian and hegemonic regimes, are attempting to bring about change by force. Political maneuvering of this type should stop. Thanks to my advocacy for a free and open Indo-Pacific, this strategy has been adopted by the US, Europe, and the world at large. For a free and open Indo-Pacific strategy, however, the Taiwan Strait must remain peaceful and stable. Thus, the need for more solidarity between countries that share the values of freedom and democracy—such as Japan, the United States, Taiwan, and South Korea—is more pressing than ever.
I appreciate UPF's focus on family values. As stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “the family is the natural and fundamental group unity of society.” Let's beware of so-called social revolutionary movements with narrow-minded values.
History has always been moved by great passion for the ideal in all ages. An ideal always finds itself confronted by barriers. Obviously, a fight will ensue.
It is passionate fighters that have changed history. We will need passionate leaders if we are to achieve solidarity between countries sharing freedom and democracy, maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, and achieve peaceful reunification on the Korean Peninsula. These Rallies of Hope will give us much strength; of that I am confident. Thank you very much.

The sports medicine market is expected to grow from USD 5.5 billion in 2020 to USD 7.2 billion by 2025, at a CAGR of 5.7% during the forecast period. Growth in the sports medicine market is primarily driven by factors such the increasing incidences of sports injuries, continuous influx of new products & treatment modalities, developments in the field of regenerative medicine, rising demand for minimally invasive surgeries.
The major restraining factor for the growth of sports medicine market is high cost of implants. The cost of these implants is a major concern for market growth in countries such as India, where only a small section of the population is under insurance coverage (according to the IRDA, in 2017, 76% of the Indian population was uninsured). With an overall average cost of more than USD 12,000 in developing countries, affording such a costly treatment is still a big challenge for most of the population.
One of the major challenges for the sports medicine market is the lack of trained orthopedic professionals as orthopedic surgeons carry out most of the procedures for various sports injuries. According to a new report by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), published in April 2018, there will be a shortage of between 20,700 and 30,500 physicians for surgical specialties in the US by 2030.
In the sports medicine field, there is an increasing need for trained professionals with the relevant experience and knowledge about using orthobiologics and performing specific surgeries. Sports medicine surgeons provide diagnosis and treatment for musculoskeletal injuries and related disorders that are caused during sports activities.
Sports medicine market is widely used for the prevention of sports injuries as well as for the cure, recovery, and rehabilitation of athletes.
