i'm feeling like i'm in a bit of a writing slump, so if anyone would like to dm about plots or threads, lmk <3 i have a lot of muses to work with, haha sometimes i don't know what to do with them.
i don't mind angst, at all, but i will not write taboo things. i also prefer to fade-to-black in smut senarios, so if you're looking for a smut-heavy thread, i'm sorry!
i'm gonna try and work on some of the threads i have. All of my muses are like period, historical, or fantasy! Here are my muses that I currently write with, if you want to check them out:
Women <3
Athena Cunningham (Maia Mitchell fc). Plays noblewomen, princesses, etc. Good for regency or later. She's reckless and a little naive.
Henrietta Owens (Alisha Boe). Plays servants, village girls, princesses, handmaidens, noblewomen, low-key anything. Good for both medieval and regency plots! She's passionate and well-rounded.
Juliet Fairchild (Kristine Froseth). Plays any period role. She's expressive, usually wealthy, and kinda spoiled. She means well, though.
Sara Sarrarel (Poppy Drayton). Plays princesses, village girls, any medieval/fantasy role tbh. I have her as more of a medieval character. She's stubborn and annoying <3
Reyna Rusnak (Millie Brady). She plays commoners, usually in a fantasy setting. She's better for darker themes just based on vibes alone. Works well in medieval settings. Her personality is pretty verse-dependent. I have her as being loyal, scrappy, and a little mysterious
Fiona Campbell (Sophie Skelton). She plays commoners, sex-workers, down-on-her luck characters. She could also probably be a noblewoman. She's my newest character so I'm still figuring her out. I think she's kinda jaded for some reason.
Men <3
Buck Birch (Tom Blyth). He is only in Western verse threads. He's usually an outlaw, but he could work as a common man, too. He's my most verse-specific character. He's charming, sly, and dangerous.
Shi Bolin. (Dylan Wang). He is good for bodyguards/knights/protectors. He could also be a weird, angsy prince. He's not the most friendly but he'll protect your character.
Remy Longfellow (Adrain Enscoe). He's good for regency/bridgerton things. He's your basic soft boy who's a little dumb <3
Alistair Brown (Thomas Brodie-Sangster). I usually play him as a tavern-owner. He can also be in Bridgerton type threads. He's hard-working, sarcastic, and a good man.
Benjamin Isakson (Jack Wolfe). He is usually only put in vampire threads tbh. He is good for fantasy/supernatural threads. He's naive, bookish, and he likes to study the supernatural. He is my personal baby.
James Parker (Harry Gilby). Usually more medieval threads. He's good as bodyguards or a loyal soilder. He wants to prove himself to his superior. He's just a young man that has to face a lot of darkness, I feel.
Alaric Blackwell (Freddy Carter). He works well in supernatural/fantasy threads. He can play a vampire hunter. He's a con-man and cannot be trusted.
I'd like to bring a Sean Teale muse somewhere, but I'm not sure about him yet.
Anyway, thanks!

Summary: Bexley and Frankie have been married for a few years. They've never really thought about kids. They lived nextdoor to their best friends Jon and Zara. After years of trying to have a baby Jon and Zara decided that they would ask Bexley to be their surrogate.
"Families don't have to match. You don't have to look like someone else to love them" - Leigh Anne Tuohy
Part One: Surrogacy
Frankie had been unusually moody this morning he barely kissed Bexley goodbye as he left this morning. Bexley being the overly concerned overly worried person that she is texted him numerous times throughout the morning: "are you sure you're okay?" "is there anything I can get you at the store today? "
She knew it was bad if it was just a simple "no". As the day worn on she didn't bother him much. Bexley sat in her office designing a floor truss when a soft knock startled her out of her trance. Zara her best friend was standing there with a huge grin and two Starbucks drinks.
"Z! You scared the crap out of me!"
Zara smiles and hands her an iced coffee.. "well I was in the neighborhood getting my hair done and I thought I'd drop by to say Hi and bring you a pick me up" she says swinging her long braids . Bexley couldn't help but notice the K-flex on her arm. But she didn't say anything.
Bexley takes a drink "hmmm lookin' good! Hot momma!"
She quickly saves her work as Zara sits on the chair in Bexley 's office
"I wish I was a momma. " Zara sighed and looks down at her drink.
"It'll happen for you. I know it will. And you'll have a baby that Auntie Bex can spoil rotten" Bexley said turning around to face her.
Zara clears her thoughts and says "What are you and Frankie doing tonight? Its short notice but Id like to invite you guys over tonight for dinner. "
"We don't have anything planned. He's in a mood today but if it's free food and beer he'll be down." Bexley smiles
Well, I better get back home and get things ready see you guys at 7ish?" Zara says getting up and walking out of Bexley 's office
"Sounds good. Text me with what I can bring. Thanks for the drink." Bexley says Zara smiles and heads off.
Bexley pulls her medium length brown hair back in a clip and continues to work. It was unusual that Zara showed up randomly at her job like that. She checked her phone to see if she had missed a text from her but nothing.
Frankie works as an EMS helicopter pilot for the hospital. Jon worked with Frankie as a flight nurse. Bexley usually got home before he did.
Later that evening Frankie was on time she was sitting on the couch with one of their dogs, Daisy. Frankie came in grumbling under his breath. "Honey?" She said and she got off the couch and put the dogs out. He did say anything.
He plopped on the couch massaging his temples. Bexley walked over and sat beside him and said, "Baby, Are-" before she could get out the sentence he cut her off
"What Bexley?!" Frankie said with a raised voice.
"Nothing... I was just wondering how your day went" Bexley said sitting next to him... She took his hand "I'm sorry for whatever I did... I don't know what I did but whatever it is I'm sorry baby."
"Everything and everyone's pissing me off today. No matter what I do or go I can't shake off this crappy feeling. I just wanna be angry and snap at anything that moves." Frankie said before exhaling loudly. "It's not you baby." He said in a calmer tone
"Good.... Jon and Zara invited us for dinner and beers tonight. If you don't want to go I'm sure they'll understand" she said
He groaned. He hated social interaction when he is in his moods. After a few seconds of silence he spoke.
"Only do it for the alcohol because it's a good way to blow off steam...but I'm not gonna pretend that I'm interested, nor am I gonna be polite. I'll also just stare into the distance with a pissed off look." Frankie said
Bexley rubs his arm... "It'll be fine... Drink a few beers and watch the game. Watch Tom Brady lose again".. she says trying to make him smile.
"Don't mention that man's name... But yeah I do love watching him lose. It's satisfying." Frankie said as a small smile formed on face "But what if I can blow off all this anger another way? If you catch my drift?" He added, his smile turning into a smirk
She met his smirk "Oh? Well it's only 5:30. We don't have to be over there till 7"... She said rubbing his thigh.
"I think we can find something to do to kill some time." Frankie said before leaning in and pulling Bexley closer as he began to kiss her neck passionately. His breathing getting heavier and more passionate as he did.
"Hmmmm baby... That's my man...." She says purring. She pulled herself onto his lap.
Frankie continued kissing her neck. One hand gently massaging her hip while and other ran through her hair. He was in the zone now, and the only thing he was thinking about was the gorgeous woman sitting on his lap. "I want you." He whispered softly in her ear before gently bitting her earlobe.
"Hmmmm then have me. I'm a buffet for you baby" she said in a low voice
He smirked and looked into her eyes. "I plan on taking as much of the buffet as I can." He said before scooping her up from his lap and carrying her bridal style to their bedroom. She giggled as he carried her upstairs. He kicked their bedroom door opened before laying Bexley down on the bed. While staring at her with pure lust in his eyes. He kissed her deeply and passionately as he laid next to her, a hand caressing her thigh.
"Ohhhh... Hmmmmmm" . She moaned softly and pulled at his flannel shirt He sat up and ripped off his flannel shirt before moving his hands up her body to the hem of her t-shirt, pulling it over her head before looking at her body with pure admiration. He loved this woman with everything he had. "God you are so beautiful." He said admiring her body. She blushes a bit and pulled out her hair tie letting her brown hair fall. He gently ran his fingers through it and tucked a few strands behind her ear. "So beautiful." He whispers leaning in and placing tender kisses on her neck. He started peppering kisses down her body till he reached her stomach, his hands gently massaging her thighs and hips.
"Hmmmmmm. Mmmmmm". Bexley moaned as he massagd her thighs and hips. She sat up unhooked her bra and tossed it near the hamper. He couldn't help but smile into her skin as he kissed. Pulling her closer as he did. The feeling of her soft and warm skin against his was soothing to him. And he wanted her closer, more and more and more. He kissed and bit his way down her body, stopping at her hips and staring up at her. The sight of her taking him breath, she was so beautiful. He leaned up gently kissed a sensitive spot and then began slowly removing her jeans. She raised her hips letting him remove her jeans. He threw her jeans to one side of the room as he continued to kiss his way down her body. His hands holding her hips as he finally reached her panties. He stared at her for a moment before his kisses continued down her body. He was in no rush, he wanted to explore every bit of her body and worship her in a way she deserves.
She sat up and unzipped his pants... Reaching to palm at his crotch. Frankie let out a moan as he felt her hand against his crotch. He stared into her eyes, his own dark and filled with pleasure as she touched him. He leaned down and began trailing kisses on her neck as he gently removed her panties, his need for her only growing.
"Ohhhh... Baby"... She moaned softly
He groaned in pleasure as she said that, his hand gently gripping her hip and pulling her closer, needing to be as close as possible to her. He whispered softly onto her skin "You are so beautiful. So perfect. I love you." He said as his hand gently massaged her inner thigh, his lips never leaving her skin.
"I love you too" she said wrapping her arms around his neck.
He pulled her as close as possible, his hands gently roaming her body as he pressed his lips against hers. He kissed her passionately and lovingly, his tongue gently massaging hers as he deepened the kiss, the need for her and her taste was stronger than ever. He was addicted to her, he couldn't get enough. He moved his body to hover over hers, his kisses still full of passion and need as he laid her down on her back. He pulled her to the edge of his side of the bed holding her legs open her back flat against the bed. Frankie looked down at her, his breath catching in his throat as he stared at her. There were no words to describe how beautiful and sexy she looked. He was mesmerized in her, in the moment. He held her legs gently, staring down at her for a moment before gently sliding into her. He groaned at the feeling, his senses going into overload as he tried to not lose himself in her.
They both moaned loudly almost in unison. He groaned as well, the feeling of her was overwhelming to him. He started moving slowly, his pace gentle and tender as he kept a loving hold on her thighs. He looked down at her and watched her face as he gently moved in and out, the way she moaned and writhed beneath him only making him need her more. She held the edge of the bed as he held her legs thrusting into her. He stared at her as he thrusted, a bit of sweat already formed on his forehead. His breathing got heavy and more labored as the feeling of pleasure in his body got stronger and stronger. He whispered softly between breaths "I love you. I love you so much."
"Hmmmm.... That's it baby" she moans..... " I'm getting close"
Frankie could feel her body become tense and he felt himself nearing the edge, and he wouldn't last longer. He looked down at her intensely, watching as she got closer, his breath getting heavier and his grip on her legs getting tighter. He whispered softly "I love you. I love you. I love you." He whispered with each thrust as he moved. His eyes full of love and lust and need for her. He could feel himself reaching the edge. As he felt himself get closer he quickly reached for the condoms in his nightstand. He quickly grabbed a condom from the nightstand and tore it open, his breaths coming out in heavy puffs. He rolled it on quickly, but without taking his eyes off of her. He needed her, and needed to see her as he came undone.
She pants.... "I thought we were out..."
He groaned as he began moving again, this time with a bit more needy and aggressive as the need was growing so strong by now that it felt like a primal need now. The sight of her beneath him brought on a wave of want and desire that he needed to act on. "I got a new pack. Needed them soon I guess." He grunted out between breaths. He held her legs and thrusted in deeper. He just needed her so badly.
"Ohhh... You... Really... Ohhhhh did... Hmmmmmm" she held on to the bed as be kept thrusting into her deeply.
He groaned and his breaths got heavy and more shallow as he moved. He wasn't going to last long. He was so close. And looking down at her made things even worse and he groaned loudly. "I can't... Baby I.. I'm gonna.." He panted deeply through breaths and words.
"Come baby... Ohhhh baby I'm there ... " She moans and pants
He groaned loudly at hearing those words and as he looked down at her. The image of her and the words leaving her mouth sent him over the edge and he moaned loudly as he came undone, he tightened his grip on her legs as he panted heavily with each breath. She lifted her hips as her climax followed right after.
He panted heavily, his breaths coming out in exhausted puffs as he looked down at her with a tired yet satisfied look in his eyes. He gently let go of her legs as he slowly pulled out, breathing hard as he did. "You're incredible." He said before leaning down and kissing her.
"Hmmmm".. she kisses him back
He walks into the bathroom to take care of the condom. She follows him in there and turns on the shower. He steps into the shower and leans his back against the wall as the water runs over him. The steam rising up in the shower and the warm water relaxing his muscles. He stood there for a few moments, enjoying the feeling of the warm water before wrapping his arms around Bexley's waist and pulling her close, her back against his chest and his chin leaning into her shoulder. "Thank you." he whispered softly before placing a kiss on her skin. "Of course baby... What are wives for? She says with a grin. He sighed deeply and held her closer, enjoying the intimacy and the feeling of holding her so close. They stood like this for a few moments till he pulled himself away and grabbed the loofah and poured body wash over it before running it over her body, gently massaging it into her skin as he did. "I don't do this enough. I need to spoil you more." He mumbled with a tired and guilty look.
"You spoil me enough. I'm happy with our life. " She said confidently.
He smiled and planted a gentle kiss on her shoulder before continuing to massage the body wash into her skin, paying extra attention to her shoulders and back. He held her as close as he could as he did, still feeling somewhat guilty over the earlier argument and how he snapped at her. "I still feel like I don't do enough. Especially not with how hard you work. You're always taking care of my cranky old ass."
She giggled a bit "I love you and I know I can be cranky when that magical time of the month is happening"
He couldn't help but chuckle at that. She could be pretty grumpy during that time, but she could only take so much before she exploded. It was cute to watch her get all "grouchy" and her cheeks puff out, and she was adorable when she was trying to be angry but just ending looking cute.
"You're still adorable no matter how bitchy you get." He said while pressing another kiss into her shoulder.
"I'll take that as a compliment, by the way. I like this new shower head you got" she said
"Yeah it's a good one, better water pressure, saves a bit of water too." He said as the continued washing her body. He was taking his time, he wanted her to be as relaxed as possible. They still had plenty of time, and nothing but time. And he wanted her to enjoy it. He ran the loofah along her ass before crouching down to wash her feet.
After their shower she dries her hair as he gets dressed. She starts to curl her ends with her curling iron
"Hey did Jon act weird at work today?" She asked
He put on his favorite jeans and a t shirt and sat on the bed as she did her hair. He started rubbing the lotion onto his skin as she asked her question.
"Not that I noticed, why you ask?" He said, shrugging slightly. He was more concentrated on thinking about what the hell to say to them later on, and the possible scenarios, the anxiety wasn't making him feel great.
"Zara just popped in my office today. She brought me Starbucks normally she'd text me if I was busy. But she said she had gotten her hair done but she had on one of those kflex things like she had had blood drawn. " She said turning off the curling iron. She started to put on a bit of makeup.
Frankie looked puzzled by this and tilted his head slightly, wondering what they both could be up to. He kept rubbing lotion into his arms as he thought, slightly wondering what it was about. "That is weird, sounds very suspicious. What could they be up to?"
"Maybe another round of those fertility shots? They've been trying for like 5 years now. I think she's losing hope" Bexley said applying her blush.
Frankie sighs deeply. He feels bad for Jon and Zara, the both really wanted kids, but so far they haven't had any luck with it. And the fertility shots were the last hope, from what he knows. "Maybe it is, those two have really been wanting kids, I hate seeing them so disappointed."
"I know.... I wish there was something I could do for her... You know? She's been my best friend since we were in Pre school. " She said
He placed a hand on her shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I know you do. You've always looked out for her, and would never want to see her being hurt." He knew how much Zara meant to her, and how badly she wanted her to be happy. He wished there was something he could do as well but, if those shots didn't work then there wasn't much that anyone could do. "Just be there for her if it doesn't work. She'll need you."
"You know I will be" .. she reaches to hold his hand... " Hey by the way did you let Jasper and Daisy in? "
He took her hand and held it in his as he stared at her with a puzzled look on his face. He didn't let the dogs in, so why was she asking? "No, I haven't let them in yet. They're still outside. Why?"
"Oh shit. They've been outside all this time" their eyes widened. Frankie made a mad dash downstairs and swung the back door open.
Frankie's heart sank at that as he opened the backdoor to see his two dogs sitting there, both looking tired and thirsty. He felt guilt and shame hit him like a train as he took in the sight of them. "Daisy! Jasper! Oh you two I'm so sorry!" He said as he knelt down to hug them both and pat their heads and bellies. They both jumped on him and immediately licked his face and whined. The pit/lab mix Jasper was so excited but the first thing Daisy, the English bulldog did was go directly for the food dishes. Bexley comes downstairs putting on her earrings
"My poor babies" . She said.
Frankie looked at Bexley, with Jasper still in his arms as she went over to check on the dogs. "I can't believe we forgot them." He said softly as he patted Jaspers back. He felt horrible about forgetting and he was certain that these two would never let him forget it.
She sighs and fixes their food. "That's what happens when you're having kinky hot sex" she said with a smirk
Frankie chuckled and nodded as he gave Jasper a tight squeeze. "You ain't wrong about that." He said with a smile, feeling some of his guilt disappear seeing the dogs happily eating their food.
She exhales a bit for relief.
"You ready to head next door?" She asks putting her phone in her purse.
Frankie stood up sighed. "As ready as I'll ever be." He said softly as he started to the backdoor, the anxiety and nerves building up in him.
She gives a half smile and holds his hand and grabs her purse. Frankie takes her hand and holds it tight, giving it an extra tight squeeze. The moment he had been dreading had come, and there was no more avoiding it. He took a deep breath as he headed out the door.
After dinner and beers and the Chiefs beating the Buccaneers 26-7 Frankie was in a my h happier mood.
Zara brought in a lemon cake in the living room for dessert and after she had distributed the slices her and Jon sat across from them and Jon turned off the TV. Zara took a deep breath and said "So this was more than just a dinner tonight."
Frankie had his arm around Bexley and he nodded as Zara spoke, the anxiety immediately rearing its ugly head. He sighed as he looked at her, bracing himself for the conversation that he knew was going to follow. Zara held Jon's hands and spoke nervously
"As you both know we've been having a lot of issues over the years conceiving. And I recently found out that I wouldn't be able to carry a baby to term"
Bexley said "I'm so sorry. There has to be other options for y'all right?"
Zara sighed deeply and nodded, trying to hold back her tears. "I don't know. We've about tried everything we can. My doctor said the best option left is to get a surrogate." She said softly as she rested her hand on Jon's.
Zara reached over and held Bexley 's hand "we want you to be our surrogate"
Frankie looked stunned.
Frankie's jaw dropped as she heard Zara's words, his eyes widening as he stared at the both of them. He couldn't believe what he had just heard, his heart pounding so loudly that he swore they could hear it. He sat there in silence for a moment before finally finding his voice. "What...?"
Jon spoke up "look I know this is a major thing to ask. It's tremendous. If you need time to think about it.. we understand "
Bexley shook her head and said "No, I don't need time. I'll do it."
Frankie looked over at Bexley as she answered. He wasn't sure what to think of this, he was happy that she was so on board with this, but at the same time he was scared. Having a child is a huge responsibility, and to have his wife carry that responsibility was scary. He gently squeezed her hand as he looked at Zara, still somewhat stunned by the whole situation.
Bexley spoke with confidence "I'll do it. I'll do anything to help you. I promise you both I'll keep your baby safe and healthy until it's born. "
Zara started crying and immediately hugged Bexley tightly, tears streaming down her face. "Thank you.. thank you so much." She said between sobs as she held on to her. Jon was just as grateful, holding on to her hand as well and he was looking a bit misty eyed himself.
"I love you Zara" Bexley said softly still hugging her tightly.
Zara pulled away from the hug and wiped her tears away as she smiled at Bexley. "I love you too." She said softly, her voice still somewhat shaky. As the emotion began to subside a bit, Frankie took her hand in his again. His heart was still beating loudly, but not as fast as it was, and he was slightly calmer now as he took it all in.
Bexley wiped her tears as they sat back and finished dessert. Zara gave her the specialist's number so she can start making her appointments.
Frankie and Bexley walked home in slight silence, hand in hand as he tried to process the events of the evening. The idea of having a baby was a lot to process, but having been raised on the idea of family being the most important thing, it had crossed his mind numerous times over the years, so the idea wasn't foreign to him. He held her hand tightly, glad that she would be beside him as they went through this new journey. They walked in their house being greeted by their dogs .
"Frankie? You've been quiet" she said
Frankie smiled as he saw Jasper and Daisy, both of them running up and jumping up on him, their tails wagging wildly. He gave them both a pet before they ran off to their beds. He looked over at Bexley and nodded, realizing he had been quiet the entire walk home. "Yeah, sorry. Just a lot to take in you know?"
"Yeah it is. Remember how I said that I wished there was something I can do?" She said leaning against the kitchen counter.
Frankie nodded, remembering their conversation in the shower earlier. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze as he listened. "Yeah, I do." He said softly.
"This is what I can do. I'm not 30 yet. I'm healthy I can do this for them" Bexley spoke with such bravery it was inspiring to Frankie
Frankie looked at Bexley, seeing the determination in her eyes. She was a strong and healthy woman, and he knew that she would be able to carry the baby for Zara and Jon. He gave her a small smile and nodded, knowing that she was more than capable of doing this. "You're right. You are healthy and you are strong. I know you'll be able to do it for them.”
"How do you feel about me doing this? Be honest" she said still holding his hands
He took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes as he spoke. “Honestly? I’m scared. It’s a big responsibility and it’s gonna be tough to see you go through the pregnancy. But at the same time, I’m proud of you because you’re doing this for them. And you’re doing what needs to be done. Even though I’m scared, I know you’re stronger than anyone I know, and I trust you to bring this baby into the world.” she pulls him closer.
She nodded and spoke softly.. "I know it's scary. We have never talked about kids of our own."
Frankie looked down at her. He had often thought of a future where they had a family, but never brought it up with her because he didn’t want to pressure her. "Yeah, we never really have. I would be lying if I said I didn't want us to have kids of our own someday."
"Yeah... I'd like one or two someday. I just figured if it happens it happens." She said with a shrug.
Frankie nodded as he listened to her, feeling relieved that she was interested in having kids. He felt a sense of relief hearing her say that. He took her hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze, looking into her eyes. "Yeah me too. I'd love to have a family someday with you. Hopefully it happens for us."
"I know it will baby"she said with a gentle smile
He smiled softly as she spoke, feeling his heart flutter as she said it. "You really think so?" He said softly, feeling hope begin to build up in him but also fearing that it may not happen.
*Of course". She says wrapping her arms around his waist. Frankie placed his arms around her, holding her close as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "I sure hope you're right, baby." He whispered softly, his lips brushing against her hair.
"I love you... Thank you for your support and respect " she said looking up at him with admiration.
Frankie smiled as he held her close, feeling his heart swell with love as she thanked him. "I love you too. And you're welcome, baby. I know how much this means to Zara and Jon, and I respect that. And I respect your decision to be their surrogate."
She lays her head against his chest and closes her eyes. Frankie held her close, gently rubbing her back as she laid her head against his chest, feeling her body relax against his. He gently kissed the top of her head and closed his eyes, savoring the moment with her.

Jordan Love has played well and the Packers the last 2 games of the season played good defense and got the most out of their young core to make the playoffs. The Dallas Cowboys are Super Bowl or bust, CeeDee Lamb is arguably the second best WR in football and the defense overall is a take away machine. The Cowboys I think will try to pressure Love into bad throws, and be opportunistic in creating take aways. This to me is the Cowboys game to lose, only question is can Tony Pollard get going in the run game because he is the home run threat on the ground in space. Green Bay went on a 3 game win streak to end the season and Dallas leaving a lot to be desired to end their season. Dallas won impressively in week 14 against Philadelphia, then a bad loss to Buffalo, another loss to Miami, an illegal touching penalty win against Detroit and a dismantling of Washington to maybe get right? The Cowboys are the better team and they are home. Even with the struggles Dallas should get past the Packers and into the Divisional round.
(6) Los Angeles Rams at (3) Detroit Lions
Sunday, 8:15 p.m. ET on NBC
This one is going to tug on the heart strings. Matt Stafford returns to Detroit to face his old Lions and frankly the Rams might spoil Detroit’s first home playoff game in ages. The Rams are a hot team coming into the playoffs, 7-1 since a week 10 bye, only loss was an overtime loss to Baltimore in week 14. Puka Nacua came out of nowhere and is shattering expectations. He and Cooper Kupp are a formidable duo at WR, and Kyren Williams has brought stability to a ground game that have made the Rams a really tough matchup for anyone and unfortunately it has to be the Lions. I want good things for Detroit, and they deserve to go far in the playoffs. I just don’t see how a defense that is susceptible to the pass can slow down this Rams passing offense. The Lions will have Sam LaPorta but not at 100% which could hinder what the Lions do passing the ball. The 2 headed monster at running back in David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs is what the Lions need to control this game. The biggest X factor is how aggressive will Dan Campbell be? Hopefully just enough to get the win, but this is Jared Goff’s chance for redemption. He was traded for Stafford but not only that the Rams GAVE a first round pick just to get rid of him. I want Detroit to win this game because I like feel good stories but the Rams seem to have put it together at the right time and I think will spoil the party in Detroit.
(5) Philadelphia Eagles at (4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Monday, 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, ABC, ESPN2 and ESPN+
The Eagles are dragging their asses into these playoffs. Rumors are swirling Nick Siriani might lose his job if the Eagles piss this one away. Crazy to think a team a year removed from a Super Bowl appearance would fire the coach but this is a crazy world we live in. The Eagles also get dealt another low blow by stud WR AJ Brown likely being out for this game due to a knee injury. The hits just keep coming. The Buccaneers on the other hand haven’t been spectacular but haven’t been average. 5-1 in their last 6 to close the season and Baker Mayfield might have found a home in Tampa Bay. Mayfield had 4,044 yards 28 TDs and 10 INTs on this season. Tom Brady last year for these Bucs had 4,694 yards 25 TDs and 9 INTs. The Bucs I think have a better chance to win this game because of the weapons at receiver. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin should give Philly all they can handle. The Eagles need to get D’Andre Swift going to take the pressure off of Jalen Hurts. For the Eagles to win they have to establish the run and control clock. I think the Eagles are desperate enough to win this game but it will be closer than people think.
Bye: (1) San Francisco 49ers
AFC
(5) Cleveland Browns at (4) Houston Texans
Saturday, 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC
To me this is the most intriguing matchup of the playoffs. The upstart Texans and CJ Stroud against the resilient Cleveland Browns. The Browns are the first team in NFL history to win at least 10 games in a season with four different quarterbacks earning at least one win, according to OptaStats. They’re also the first team to make the playoffs after starting four different quarterbacks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Joe Flacco is a timeless wonder, and survived a tenure with the New York Jets, EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE. But Cleveland with a steady hand at QB and a stout defense get a rematch with a team they creamed in week 16 BUT CJ Stroud is playing this time. I thought CJ Stroud should’ve been the number one overall pick in the draft but Bryce Young gets to fall on the sword and waste away in Carolina while Stroud thrives. Stroud threw for over 4000 yards and had 25 TDs. Impressive for a team that had 2 wins last season. DeMeco Ryans has transformed this team into one who believes in itself and they are young and growing together. Even Buffalo Bills cast off Devin Singletary took over the starting RB spot and is the steady hand in the backfield. Tank Dell being hurt is a loss but the Texans have other playmakers that have carried them to this point. I like Houston to shock the world and Beat Cleveland at home to advance.
(6) Miami Dolphins at (3) Kansas City Chiefs
Saturday, 8:15 p.m. ET on Peacock
Now there is a joke in here somewhere involving Swifties and Peacock…I’m not the one to make it, but there has to be. Now for those of you wondering as you see above it says this game is on Peacock. Yes, Peacock is a streaming service by NBC Universal. Yes, this is streaming ONLY. Yes, the NFL is a money hungry organization that does what it wants and will continue to do so until the end of time. So, get ready to pay $5.99 for this game or just hope a friend or family member has it. ANYWAY, this game is more about 2 teams who are not where everyone thought they’d be. The Chiefs are just reaping what they sewed by not upgrading at WR. This group leads the league in drops. Taylor Swift has garnered a lot of attention and I think it has somehow manifested itself into affecting this team. The Chiefs just don’t have that same mojo this year. Travis Kelce is having his worst statistical year in what feels like forever. If KC survives this game they are likely going on the road to play what would be Patrick Mahomes first ever road playoff game. The Dolphins again fail to reach expectations this season. Did you know they scored 70 points on Denver this season? That was a different time. The Dolphins are “the greatest show on surf” but have been hobbled as of late. Tyreek Hill has been hurt, Jaylen Waddle has been hurt, and the speed the Dolphins were killing people with has been somewhat neutralized. Miami squandered a golden opportunity win the AFC East and to get the 2 seed in the playoffs, all they had to do was win 2 of their last 3. They got waxed by Baltimore at home, and Buffalo beat them for the division and the 2 seed. Ouch. My wife tells me Mike McDaniel is a player’s coach, I say he can’t close. The temperature is expected to be around minus-2 degrees with a wind chill approaching -30, according to the National Weather Service. If that projection remains to be then this will become the coldest game that the Dolphins have ever played in. The Dolphins have lost 10 straight games when the kickoff temperature is 40 degrees or below. With all the struggles this season I think the Chiefs will win this game by the slimmest of margins because of Isiah Pacheco.
(7) Pittsburgh Steelers at (2) Buffalo Bills
Monday, 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS (Postponed due to weather)
We all know my feelings on the Buffalo Bills, I love and hate them all at the same time. But what really grinds my gears is everyone acting like the weather is a real advantage for the Bills. It’s projected to be 40MPH winds, and somewhere between 1-3 feet of snow. I don’t know if you know this but Pittsburgh plays in cold weather too. As does Cleveland, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, New England, Jets, Giants, Baltimore, Washington, Green Bay, and other cold weather teams who play outside. Let’s stop pretending Buffalo weather is different. Cold is cold, snow is snow. The new stadium should be a dome, not have an overhang that causes wind confusion. Who know what else causes wind confusion? A DOME! ANYWAY, this game is moved to monday because of the weather but is a classic Bills trap game. The Steelers are currently a +10 point spread for this game (take the points). The Steelers and Mason Rudolph have found their stride on offense after a tumultuous season the Steelers made their way to the playoffs. They don’t turn the ball over and they don’t commit penalties. George Pickens is my player to watch because he’ll either have a huge day or not be heard from. The Steelers will be able to establish the run but if the Bills can keep a lid on the receivers the Bills will have a great chance to win this game. The Bills problem will be can they get points when points are there to get? The Miami game left potentially 21 points on the field with 2 Josh Allen INT’s and a James Cook fumble all in the redzone. Josh Allen catches a lot of shit for his turnovers, but the national narrative that he’s a liability for his turnovers in outlandish. In his first 6 seasons he has 102 total turnovers, 78 being interceptions. Did you know Peyton Manning and Jameis Winston have 111 total turnovers in their first 6 seasons? In their first 6 seasons Peyton Manning had 110 INT’s, Winston and Eli Manning had 88, Jay Cutler had 86, and Matt Stafford had 85 INT’s. Gun Slingers through INT’s, shit happens. But to lay it all on Josh Allen like he’s a turnover machine is asinine. Josh Allen is the solution to the problem of not having truly elite weapons around him outside of Stefon Diggs. The Bills will win this game if Diggs can get loose and get chunks of yards and you get James Cook in space. The defense needs to keep a lid on the speed of the Steeler receivers. I think the Bills get the win by a field goal.
Bye: (1) Baltimore Ravens

You Are Going to Die

Mostly, we go through life seeking objects of our desire, laboring under the false idea that happiness can be found in wealth, status, or a good reputation.
We expend tremendous amounts of energy toward obtaining things and attaching ourselves to them, only to find disappointment when these things don’t bring us the happiness we desire.
youtube
You’ve heard the expression, “You can’t take it with you.” And we all intellectually know that to be true, but do we really live our lives as if it were true? Consider the following story:
Some children were playing beside a river. They made castles of sand, and each child defended his castle and said, ‘This one is mine.’
They kept their castles separate and would not allow any mistakes about which was whose.
When the castles were all finished, one child kicked over someone else’s castle and completely destroyed it. The owner of the castle flew into a rage, pulled the other child’s hair, struck him with his fist and bawled out, ‘He has spoiled my castle! Come along all of you and help me punish him as he deserves.’
The others all came to his help.
They beat the child, their friend.
Then they went on playing in their sand castles, each saying, ‘This is mine; no one else may have it.
Keep away!
Don’t touch my castle!’
But evening came, it was getting dark and they all thought they ought to be going home.
No one now cared what became of his castle.
One child stamped on his, another pushed his over with both hands.
Then they turned away and went back, each to his home.
Do we act any differently than these children?
We live our lives building castles in the sand only to leave them behind as meaningless when the long night of death falls.
youtube
Imagine for a moment that you accomplished everything you wanted in life. You succeeded in all your worldly affairs.
Perhaps you’re Jeff Bezos and you’ve accumulated a $100 billion fortune.
Or perhaps you’re Tom Brady and you won seven super bowls.
While these are amazing accomplishments, both of those men will die, and when they do, they won’t be taking any of their wealth or attainments with them.
In fact, if they cling to their attainments on their deathbed, they will feel anguish and sorrow, and they will endure a great deal of suffering.
youtube
How will their worldly attainments benefit them then?
You are going to die.
You could die today.
None of your worldly attainments or possessions are important.
You won’t be taking any of it with you.
Shortly after your death, your possessions will be disbursed to various people, and your corpse will be disposed of.
A form of you remains in the memories of those who knew you. Those who outlive you may remember you kindly, or they may not.
You may have a memorial headstone, or no permanent record of you may exist at all.
Everything you worked for, struggled against, hoped, dreamed, felt — everything will be summarized by a dash between the dates on your gravestone.
Most people won’t have any more details on your life than what’s contained in that dash.
youtube
After your funeral service, most people will go back to their self-important thoughts, and thoughts of you will arise less and less often until you are finally forgotten.
A hundred years after your death, everyone who knew you will also be dead (not that they spent much time remembering you anyway), and nobody will visit your gravestone. Even your gravestone will finally be forgotten or destroyed.
All evidence of your existence will be gone.
As Styx pointed out in Nothing Ever Goes as Planned: “Even Pharaohs turn to sand, Like a drop in the ocean.”
youtube
Given these facts, why would you waste your time building castles in the sand?
Given these facts, why would you attach yourself to anything?
If you don’t attach yourself to life and worry about everything, life becomes a grand adventure full of fun and excitement.
When items you desire come to you, you enjoy them with thanks, and then you let them go.
As Freddie Mercury said in Bohemian Rhapsody: “Carry on, carry on, As if nothing really matters.”

They have like 3 years of difference it’s just. A general dislike of Taylor. Who care if he is a NFT bro it’s not like he is doing something outrageous.
Tom Brady is a crypto bro and no one says anything against it. And he is not the only actor investing in NFT
It has nothing to do with how he acts.
I agree Shaz I would like anything they put into it.
No need to spoil things for us. Keep your negativity out of here and don’t watch the movie nothing forces you.
!!! Like I get not liking an actor or whatever but why doesn’t anyone complain about this in Het movies/shows? Like why is it always the LGBTQ+ shows/movies that get thrown under the microscope?

Is Tom Brady playing tonight vs. the Cardinals in Week 16? Christmas Day status for Bucs QB
The last NFL game on Christmas Day will feature Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveling to Arizona. Only the Buccaneers have a chance to get to the playoffs between these two teams, so the Cardinals will try to spoil their season. Despite being 6-8 heading into Week 16, the Buccaneers still top the NFC South by one game. The contest is the last piece of the NFL’s inaugural triple-header…

hi everyone ! i've been away for a looooong time but i'd love to get into indie rping again. my name is penny, i'm 25 from est. my pronouns are she/her. i mostly rp fantasy/period settings, but will do the occasional slice-of-life. i have a full time job that takes up a lot of my time, but i'm itching to be creative again ! i'm looking for long term partners who will enthusiastically scream about our ships and plots together ! looking forward to meeting you all !
i like forbidden romances, enemies-to-lovers, period settings, fantasy settings, vampires, angels, demons, uhhhhh really anything ! i like stardew valley, percy jackson, shadow and bone, doctor who, ghosts, bridgerton and yeah!
if you're interested in any of these topics, feel free to send me a like or respond to my starters ! also, i prefer to write on tumblr !
here are my open starters
my muses have their own page on my blog! (under construction) also under the cut !

Are the Broncos (still) the Worst Team in the AFC West?
Don’t let the title of this article fool you Bronco’s Country, you should rejoice in your franchise pushing their chips to the middle of the table to land a guy like Russell Wilson! Wilson has been terrorizing the Western Division of the NFC for the past decade and will surely look to carry his success over to the new Wild West of the AFC.
We’re not trying to rain on anyone’s parade, crap in anyone’s punch bowl, or otherwise spoil the long awaited relief from Denver’s QB Blue Balls. We’re just as excited as you for Wilson vs Mahomes, Herbert, and Carr twice a year. With that said, the Broncos aren’t even the only team in their division that made major moves in free agency and are coming off a last place finish in the AFC West.
However, the Wilson trade was the biggest move of the AFC West so for perennial shits and giggles, let’s take a look at how this blockbuster trade rocks this division today as we try to figure out how the Broncos stack up against their divisional rivals and whether or not Denver is still the worst team in the AFC West!
The ‘21 Broncos
We aren’t picking on the Broncos when we call them the worst team in the AFC West, they objectively were last season, finishing last in the division once again. 2021 wasn’t pretty as they cycled through pedestrian Quarterbacks Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock, traded away Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller, missed the playoffs, and fired yet another Head Coach.
The Broncos’ Offense was in the bottom half of the league, ranking 19th on the year, ironically one spot ahead of the team who just sent them their shiny new Quarterback. Needless to say, ‘Dangeruss’ isn’t coming off his best year either. In fact it was without question the worst year of his career, as the Seahawks had their first losing season in the Pete Carroll/Russell Wilson era. But hey that was probably an anomaly Broncos’ fans *nervously laughs, sweats profusely.
All of this is to say that while Russell Wilson has certainly earned his reputation as a top tier QB and is without question the best signal caller the Broncos have had since Peyton Manning, there is legitimate cause for pause on ideas of taking back the AFC West. The Broncos have excellent young talent in players like Javonte Williams, Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, Bradley Chubb, and more. But this is a franchise undergoing transformation from the top down with New Ownership TBD, a first year Head Coach in Nathaniel Hackett, and of course Wilson. Not everyone is Tom Brady and it may very well take time for things to gel. Especially in a new conference against teams like:
The Kansas City Chiefs
Wilson was the top dog QB in his division for years, but the AFC West has belonged to Patrick Mahomes ever since he took the reins for the Chiefs. 2021 was easily the least successful year of the Mahomes era and they still won the division and damn near made another Super Bowl, before completely shitting the bed and blowing an 18 point lead against the Bengals.
The Broncos have shown they can play tough defense, even giving these Chiefs a scare in Week 18, so a Quarterback upgrade of this caliber certainly can make the difference they need. Wilson has also won some of the craziest f#%*ing games we’ve ever seen (see the NFC Championship against Green Bay), so give him a level playing field and anything can happen. Wilson and Mahomes have only faced off once to date, a Week 16 thriller in 2018 which Wilson came out on top in. Since then, Number 15 has made playing in Championship Games a casual affair while embarrassing damn near every defense he’s ever faced.
Even Tom Brady got his ass kicked by Drew Brees and the Saints repeatedly outside of one playoff win, so being the new kid on the block isn’t always easy. Especially when you’re the one who suddenly has to visit the obnoxiously loud stadium once a year. Whatever the hell happens when these two face off, you can expect fireworks, wild finishes, and the rules being stretched in ways you never imagined. Oh and it’s not just KC that’s a problem, there’s also the:
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers were one of the most vexing teams in the league last year. One week they were slapping around the aforementioned division kingpin Chiefs, another week they were getting blown out by the goddamn Texans! The most infuriating moment from the ‘21 Chargers came in Week 18 when Brandon Staley’s dumbass decision making ruined what would have been the funniest tie in history and sent the Bolts back to the Postseason.
Trivial frustrations aside, one thing we agree with Brandon Staley on is, his team is dope! Look at any key position and you’ll find a bad ass mother f*cker. This team is basically fielding a Ferrari on both sides of the ball with Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Rashawn Slater, and Quarterback Justin Herbert on Offense complemented by Joey Bosa, Derwin James, Asante Samuel Jr., and now J.C. Jackson & Khalil F#%$ing Mack on Defense.
This pass rush is going to make opposing QBs shit their intestines out on the field and at 33, Wilson may not have the wheels he once did. That’s where the ground game for Russ’s Broncos will need to come in. Not just to keep his 5 foot 11 ass in one piece, but to capitalize on the Chargers’ 30th ranked piss poor rushing defense from last year. The Chargers are obviously working to correct this weakness, but until they do, the Broncos will want to pound the f#%$ing rock with their young breakout star in Javonte Williams. However the most exciting aspect of these matchups will undoubtedly be seeing who throws the better deep ball between Wilson and Herbert. Still, with balance on both sides of the ball and continuity on their side, it’s tough not to give the Bolts the edge between these teams. The Chiefs are the unquestioned kings of the division and the Chargers have the most complete roster, but the best Receiver the Broncos will have to contend with plays for the:
Las Vegas Raiders
The other playoff team from this division has undergone a wild offseason transformation of its own. After years of struggling to find a true number 1 receiver, the Raiders went and got the best one in the league while reuniting Carr with his college teammate in their recent trade for Davante Adams. They also made sure to take care of Maxx ‘Double X’ Crosby who just got handed a nice contract extension and a new best friend in fellow Pass Rusher Chandler Jones. This team truly found its stride last year with Derek Carr posting his best season since 2016 when he was an MVP candidate. Oh and they also managed to lure the infamous Josh McDaniels away from the Patriots for his second stint as an HC (second and a half technically).
With a highly regarded Coach and new playmakers in tow, the Raiders will look to build on their 2021 Wild Card Loss. Vegas has swept the Broncos the last two years and with both teams making significant upgrades this offseason, we’re not betting against the house quite yet on this one. That being said, defending Russell Wilson is not the same thing as defending Drew Lock, something the NFC West is surely celebrating.
The Raiders gave up nearly 26 points per game, posted a league low 6 interceptions, and were the 26th ranked Defense in the league overall last year. None of which bodes well against an improvisational Quarterback who now has Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, and Tim Patrick at his disposal. Again, the Raiders have owned this matchup recently, so until proven otherwise we’re giving them the edge. But Raider Nation better hope Carr and Adams pick right back up where they left off at Fresno State, because like the Chargers and Chiefs, they’re also going to have to play:
The ‘22 Broncos
While Denver is the most unproven team in the AFC West (even with Russ) they have built an impressive roster of young talent and hired a promising young coach that earned overwhelming praise from the reigning back to back MVP of the league. "He's been around the game a long time. What he did in Jacksonville, I think, was pure magic, getting them within a quarter of the Super Bowl. He's a great coach. I love spending time with him. He's a fantastic teacher. He's incredible in front of the room." Aaron Rodgers said on a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. This marriage could truly be something special if everything clicks. The onus is on Wilson and his receivers to develop chemistry, while learning an entirely new system from Nathaniel Hackett. It’s tough to put them above any of their divisional rivals quite yet, but for the first time in 7 years, it finally feels like you have a chance Bronco Country.

Video
youtube
I had seen the video of Tom Brady giving a hat to a kid in the stands who was holding up a sign that said “Tom Brady helped me beat brain cancer.” The kid’s name is Noah Reed. I didn’t know the story behind that. Tom had sent Noah a video earlier in the year telling him that he was rooting for the him, and the Noah’s mom promised Noah that once he beat the cancer, she would get him to a game where Tom Brady was playing.
Noah beat the cancer, and his mom made good on the promise, sending Noah and his dad to a game 2,000 miles away, getting the best tickets she could get (right behind the Buccaneers’ bench).
One player looked over and saw the sign, and came to say hello, then he went to tell Tom Brady about the kid being there and the sign he was holding.
As Tom Brady approached, the dad yelled something long the lines of “This is Noah! You made a video for him earlier this year!” (apparently making videos for people is a thing that Tom does).
Tom Brady has made this kid’s day on more than one occasion. He sent him a personal video telling him that he was going to beat the cancer, then said a personal hello with a gift at the game. I guarantee Tom has seen this report, and I would be willing to bet he was a blubbering mess by the end of it (I know I was).
I know Tom Brady is a great quarterback, but I’ve always had this attitude that he was spoiled (surrounded by other great players and a coach with a track record of success, and also married to a supermodel). Obviously I knew he became a great QB by working hard, but I didn’t know how much he gave back. This report has messed around and made me genuinely like the guy.

Post-read thoughts: The Queen’s Gambit- Walter Tevis
My mother has been trying to get me to read this one for a while. She bought me a copy after I expressed interest in chess and she watched the Netflix series. However, despite all the hype, I have mixed feelings about the book.
I found the plot quite predictable. I won’t spoil it for anyone that hasn’t read it, but you can tell where the plot is going pretty early on. I kept waiting for a plot twist but one never came. After the last page, my only thought was “yep, that’s about right.” The writing is superb, the book is a page turner, but it is predictable.
My other problem with the book lies with the main character. I found Beth’s lack of faults quite annoying. It seemed that, other than her substance abuse problems and socially awkward nature, she could do no wrong. The lengthy parts of the book describing Beth’s gift with chess felt a lot like listening to sportscasters rave over Tom Brady. Once the greatness of the athlete is established, any repetition of the fact becomes gradually more irritating. The character of Benny deserved more time.
I recommend the book to those that like books on self-destructive prodigies or those that like books on female empowerment. If you’re looking for a good book about chess, The Queen’s Gambit doesn’t actually explain many of the rules of the game. This review may sound overwhelmingly negative, but I really did enjoy the book. I don’t think I’d be able to watch the series though, as much as I love Thomas Brodie-Sangster. The consistent intensity would cause me too much anxiety.
