I also did this thing where I added three Creatable World Dolls to the troupe. Meet Bradly, Chase, and Nya! I know that CW dolls come as non-binary, but they all look like boys to me (I've been looking for more boys for the group since so far it's just Tom #TomtheBlythe , which is why this happened), except for Nya, she looks like a girl. And it's not just the wig, she stole that from Bradly. She stole all of the wigs. I took the tiny ball of wool yarn that I spun, combined it with some blue/green acrylic roving yarn, and used it to loom knit this small doll hat. Had a little bit of a surprise opportunity come my way this Summer. Once a week for the rest of the season now I'm at a local heritage museum, working with wool just like people did back in the 19th century. It's outside on a porch with no crowds, so there's not much of a Covid worry, and it's artisan craft work - That's my thing! One part I still need to learn though - Spinning. So I got a drop spindle and I'm practicing at home. Definitely need to keep practicing, but I finished my first tiny ball of yarn! It's small and uneven, but it's usable (And I will keep practicing). It's not enough yarn to make much, but I'm going to combine it with some store bought roving yarn to make a small hat. Tom has called dibs on the hat. I have been looking for another car that Blythes could drive other than the pink Barbie convertibles, but it's been a hard search because these dolls have such disproportionate noggins they really can't fit into much. Well I found this very cheap, but kinda awesome SUV that was designed with a removable top so it can also be a 4 seat convertible, AND it came with a boat and trailer. - Just bought a boat for the girls (and Tom) so I'm kicking myself a little, but this set was on clearance so price-wise this boat is actually a free bonus boat (it's also a completely different kind of boat...). And I'm sure I'll find some use for it. Clara's dandelion wishes continue, with mixed results. You've already met her daughter Edwina, but new to the family is Clara's fella, Tom, and their tiny daughter, Sybil. All would seem perfect, however this family of Blythes does have it's troubles. Tom arrived without eye chips and is currently relying on the donations of my customized WIP Blythes to get them. So far he just has blue, but will be receiving more soon. Sybil can't seem to stop sleeping and will probably be getting her head examined in the future. And then most alarming, is Edwina, who's hip joints just sort of snapped right in half today (you can see in this pic, her legs aren't attached).
