48-hours shy of six months to the day, tumblr has restored my blog to full functionality (no longer classifying it as "explicit") after a lengthy stint in horny jail.

what does this mean? my blog is now searchable, my posts are no longer hidden under tags, my posts can be linked, i get to have a damn icon + customizable blog page... but perhaps most exciting of all:

one thing i'll ask is that if you do find anything you like on my blog, consider reblogging it from me instead of directly from the op? as a seasoned "blog diver" (🤿🦪💎) who sometimes spends many hours of my actual life scouring the internet for certain posts (which often haven't seen any action in years), i really appreciate when i see even a little spike in my activity feed from these before they start getting circulated again <333

If you know anyone who seems really chill to the point of being virtually indestructible, like nothing could ever bother them in any way, could get hit by a train and just shake it off and be totally fine, laughing it off as soon as they've dusted themselves off and stopped bleeding, but who occasionally just randomly falls apart to complete fucking smithereens with seemingly no cause nor warning, only to get back up again a few minutes/hours/days later like "ok yeah I'm fine again that was weird lmao", and you've ever wondered what the fuck is up with that:

They are actually not ok and most likely are not ok at any point. The whole "hardiest person you know who just collapses randomly sometimes" thing isn't a deliberately constructed façade, as a matter of fact it might be something that they actually personally believe themselves to be. But in reality this is somebody who's either unintentionally learned or has been deliberately trained to hide negative emotions and mask symptoms at all costs, as the #1 priority that goes over any other survival needs.

So even though it may look like they go from 1 to 100 completely at random and unpredictably, and then swing right back again to being totally fine, you have no way of knowing how long they've been at 95% before the last line of defense broke down and the system collapsed. And once they flip back up, odds are that they just managed to scrape their shit back together again just enough to get their backup masking systems running. The "check engine" light never turned on because the wire was clipped years ago.

If this is you, this is your callout to seek some sort of help. I'm telling on everyone in this room including myself.

How many Tonys has Civil Warrior fucked? How many Steves has he spared? Does he ever kill a Tony rather then a Steve or does he ever kill them both?

(Does he think this is an objective, righteous mission, not one fuelled by heartbreak and regret, no it isn’t telling that he only really kills himsel- other Captain Americas and (almost?) never Iron Men, it’s just the best way to FIX things. Tony, can survive and rebuild without a Steve, Steves need a Tony or they destroy and ruin the world, they are empty shells, foolish and useless idiots that lead the heroes to ruin with a flag on his chest when what he needs is a blast to the head to stop Pied Pipering everyone to the end of the world in some holy war every time, no he’s not projecting)

i think if he's fucked any tonies, it was his tony, a lot, before he died steve killed him. like, they were in an established relationship, and then i doubt he gives in to his i-want-to-fuck-love-kill tony desires when he goes on multiverse raids. civil warrior steve strikes me as The Saddest, Most Alone steve of all of them. i think even deathlok steve has more rapport with his tony even if it is hate-foreplay.

we don't really know anything about what happened in his universe re the nuance of the fantasy patriot act there. who took what side, what arguments were made, what details were withheld. personally - and i have given this a great deal of thought - i think that civil warrior steve sees his tony die and he decides, Once, "that's on me. that is completely my fault," and he makes it his LIFE to never have to do/watch experience that again. he unilaterally decides that he is the problem variable, which. funny as in preposterously sad and INCREDIBLY tonycore behavior. so i think he is hunting steves mostly, but once in a while he'll come across a fucked up version of tony that needs to go (sim?), and he'll do it, and he'll need to take like a month off to chainsmoke and consider suicide before getting back on the murder horse.

i think civil warrior steve is willing to become whatever he needs to be in order to never examine his trauma around tony. he is unwilling to ever return to the intensity of that moment of tony's death but instead of imploding like 616 tony does after 616 steve's death, he decides that he is monstrous and he will simply take himself off the board across space and time. do less harm. and he takes a leaf out of tony's book and literally puts on armor and covers his face. like i imagine he is not even honest with the other steves about who he is. that helmet stays the fuck on. no introductions, no prepare to die, just. a murder. makes the work a little smoother. god. what a mess! what a fucking mess.

(adjacent to this ask: i have a little WIP that is a oneshot where civil warrior steve actually has to kill a tony and he comes back to his base universe where he's squatting and he smokes and he picked up an AI tony in his suit who comes out to criticize him and entreat him to stop.)
