I dont know what to say other than I read @pendale 's titanic au drabble like an hour ago (go read that if you havent) and then furiously wrote this.
"James Cameron is full of shit," Eloise says as the screen fades to black and the credits begin to roll. "I still say they both could have fit."
"Not this again," Theo laughs, half out of desperation, and half actual humor. He pinches the bridge of nose. "For the last time, El, it's about the bouyancy, not how much space they had to occupy."
Eloise smirks, popping a piece of popcorn in her month. To the victor goes the spoils, she thinks. It's become much, much too easy, lulling Theo into an argument like this. Most of their movie nights end up following a similar route.
"All they had to do was tie Rose's lifejacket-"
"I swear to God, if you bring up the Mythbusters thing again-"
She throws an M&M at her boyfriend's face, aiming for his forehead. He catches it in his mouth instead. She would be more annoyed about it, but it was an pretty impressive catch, so she gets her revenge by throwing herself at him and toppling them both down onto the couch cushions.
She settles on top of him, and Theo's arms wrap snugly around her waist as he peers up at her with a gaze so open that even after years of receiving it, it still sparks crackling electricity to erupt throughout her body.
(The same sensation she had had the first year of university watching him arrive in the middle of a lecture with the most endearing blush on his face before taking a seat next to her.)
"I don't think Jack and Rose were in the right frame of mind to have come up with such an elaborate plan," Theo tells her, "you know, with all the freezing to death and what not."
"Sucks to be them," Eloise says plainly. "I  would have thought of it."
"Of course you would have."
She sinks more fully onto him, pressing them further into the cushions. She'd called it payback for his teasing, but it's hardly a punishment. "I'm just saying, if I had a gorgeous peasant in front of me I wouldn't simply sit back and do nothing while they turn into a corpse."
"I don't know if I should be flattered you called me gorgeous, or offended you called me a peasant."
"Who said I was talking about you?" She raises a challenging eyebrow.
Theo laughs. "Well, you're too old for Leo Dicaprio, so I know you're not talking about him."
Eloise smooths her hands down his solid chest, appreciating the way his features get caught in the glow of the television. Something anchors itself in her ribcage, heart tied to this spot, this moment, this man. She holds no desire untether it. "I would have gotten us out alive," she says softly-- not a boast, but a declaration. "I would have saved you."
"I know you would have," Theo pulls her closer. "There's not a bone in my body that would ever cast doubt on you."
She shows her gratitude for such unwavering confidence by capturing his lips in a kiss-- slow and sweet, and without any emerging danger or impending doom to hurry them along. Theo’s fingers tease the hem of shirt, and her own take to their favored position of curling in his hair, and her opinion is only cemented further.
James Cameron and the freezing waters of the Atlantic Ocean be dammed. There's nothing in the world that could keep her from having this.

Thirteen-Man UCFB Hold On as They Scrape Past Kings Collage to Remain Top at Christmas
Following promotion, UCFB have been able to translate their winning ways to their new league setup, however, the prospect of facing second-in-the-league King Collage was a daunting task. It’s clear as to see how Kings Collage had been so successful this season as they play a physical game and with the match so tightly contested up until the dying moments, it’s hard to definitively say who deserved to win it. however, UCFB hold on despite being down to thirteen for the final push of the game with their discipline nearly costing them completely. The win for UCFB means they remain top of the league going into the Christmas break, however, many teams breathe down their neck looking to displace them, including an a vengeful King Collage.
Kings Collage went into this clash with a clear understanding of how they wanted to play. However, like many teams that play this way, when worked out, they are nullified with no plan B to result to. UCFB sporadically worked this out and were quick off the blocks with countering their game plan and opened the scoring in the twelfth minute through in-form fly half, Hamish Thorpe. After UCFB won their scrum, the ball was spread wide via the blind side, then tipped back inside for Thorpe to go over. He converted his own try, then four minutes later converted a penalty kick, which came from one of the Kings College players leading in the carry with his forearm to the face of UCFB flanker, Adam Pendall, who then played no further part in the game due to injury through the incident.
UCFB continued as they intended, after winning a lineout penalty the ball went through the hands before full-back, Alex Powell broke the Kings Collage defensive line with a hard line. Powell was tackled inches from the line and it took for UCFB to recycle the ball to find their second try as Josh Lowes was placed through the gap and went down for the second try of the game. Being seventeen points down within the first twenty minutes, Kings Collage would have been excused for feeling demoralised but they kicked off with a new found energy and dominated the remainder of the first half. Their first try of the game came seven minutes after the restart as they regained possession and powered through the UCFB  defence as the players looked sheepish and shocked at the reaction from the Kings Collage team. After breaking holes through the UCFB line, the Kings Collage lock fall over the line with the UCFB defence provided no answer for the oppositions physicality. After converting from in front of the posts, the teams went into half time with one try separating them.
Kings College came out firing in the second half and scored after three minutes, again using the pick and go and crash ball. Soon after, Kings Collage scored again using the same tactics. At this point the UCFB players looked at each other in disbelief as the game was turned on its head by the shear physicality of the Kings Collage largest players. It was at this point where certain UCFB players lost their cool and after a halfway line scrum, UCFB scrum half, Archie Long, was sent to the sin bin after clothes lining the Kings College centre. UCFB were behind and a man down but were still able to produce a try. After getting to grips with moving the ball at pace away from the Kings College players, a penalty was earned and not spoiling the momentum, UCFB tapped quickly and put the ball out wide and in a repeat of his earlier try, Josh Lowes was able to cut inside and backed himself again to go over and restore the lead to UCFB. The try was converted and UCFB had the final twenty minutes to hold onto their lead.
The final quarter of the game saw two more sending offs. Long was dismissed again and Milo Tingey was also sent to the sin bin, both for high tackles. Throughout the game, discipline hurt UCFB and it left them with thirteen men to fight for their lead in the dying embers of the match. Victory was theirs, however, as they were able to withstand the pure might of the Kings Collage force and secure top spot going into the Christmas break.

Wheels on the Bus.
(So this is a oc story one shot I did as a break and decided to go ahead with. So call it writing exercise ducktales ocs to be clear)
Being a father was something Ethan never took lightly every since he found out he was going to become one. His daughter Ari had become his world and he adored her the moment she hatched. He would do anything for his little girl, even spend two weeks with little sleep to make sure she was happy.
“You sure youll be fine?” Diana asked again as she was standing in the doorway holding Ari’s hand in her fingers.
“Di it’s not the first time I’ve been left alone with Ari, everything will be fine.”
“You took her to Waddle for a week.”
“And everything was fine, so don’t sweat I have things under control.”
Diana sighed and smiled as she gave him a quick peck on the cheek before finally leaving for her flight.
At least five minutes after Diana’s cab drove off was all it took for her to get a phone call.
“Diana I don’t have everything under control! Buster the bus isn’t working!” Ethan said as soon as she answered.
“What! What do you mean! She loves buster Stilts!”
“I know what! Do I do !”
“How should I know?!”
“You normally always do!!”
“Okay hold on let me figure this out.”
Ethan paced around the apartment holding Ari in his arms after making sure to cover the plush bus toy with a tissue. Honoring the fallen friend.
He nearly jumped when his phone rang at last.
“Okay so I have good news and bad news.” Diana started off with
“Good news please Di.”
“So we can replace, Buster.”
“Ay thank goddess.”
“Except, it’s gonna be two weeks before it arrives.”
“Que!? Really?”
“I know I know that was the best option though and I couldn’t get them into any sooner. Two weeks took the whole car ride to work out. Stupid Dan and his dumb cheery voice.”
Ethan couldn’t help but smile as he listened to Diana grumble, he looked down to Ari in his other arm and smiled at her.
“Know what I got this Di, Papa will make sure his little girl makes it through the two weeks.”
“Are you sure? I can work things out and stay home.”
“Di don’t worry I got this, super dad is on the job.”
“Alright...just keep me in the loop alright?”
“Promise if I can’t I’ll tell you A-S-I-P”
“A, Ethan”
“A what?”
Diana just laughed on her end and told him bye.
Ethan smiled at Ari and put his phone away. “Mama’s just over worried we got this you will be just fine your a tough lil girl Mija.” He gave her a small kiss on the top of her head and just smiled when she cooed in response.
However it did not go well.
Day 1 started the trend.
Ari only slept a few hours before waking up crying, Ethan was quick to check on her. Normally they would give her buster the bus and turn it on to play ‘The Wheels on the Bus’ for some reason she just loved it and it would calm her enough to fall back asleep. That wasn’t an option though.
Ethan tried a few things to try and get her to rest. Getting her a bottle did nothing. Rocking her didn’t put her to sleep. Rubbing her back had no result. Her crying just kept going. He really hated hearing her cry. It always broke his heart a little. Ethan didn’t want to but he knew one thing that might work.
“Alright Mija you win.” He laid her down in her crib and bent down a bit so he could softly sing to her.
“The Wheels on the bus go round and round.” Soon as she heard the tune she slowly stopped and smiled up at him. “Yes you got papa wrapped around your finger, and I thought I was bad when it came to Mama.”
Day 3
Ethan had just finished dressing Ari in her pjs yawning slightly. And rubbed at his eye as she just played with her feet.
“Alright past two nights you got away with being cute tonight though I have a plan.” He said boasting a bit as he picked her up and sat on the couch with her. He turned on the tv and selected a show he recorded. It was from some station with shows made for infants, Diana told him about it over the phone.
“This one has my lil Ari’s song on it so this will help you rest then it’s off to bed.” Ethan said trying to sound stren in his claim.
It was a decent attempt but he ended up playing that same episode a couple of times throughout the night.
Day 5
“Oh and then Sam run in from the bathroom to the kitchen”
Slam
Ethan had been doing his best not to doze off at the table during his lunch break but the need for sleep won in the end. The shock from the hit woke him up as he glanced up to his friends.
“I mean I was bored of Pendel’s story too but I just tuned him out.” Peter stated simply, only for the seagull to look a bit hurt.
“Oh no no sorry Pen’s just tried. Ari’s been having a rough week thats all.”
“What's wrong with Ari?” Pendel asked right away.
“She has this toy, that plays wheels on the bus and it helps her sleep but the sound box got messed up. We have another on the way but it’ll be awhile, so i’ve been staying up doing what I can to help her sleep. Singing it to her, watching shows that have it. But it’s not enough for her Buster  could just keep getting to play it, she has to wake me up though.” Ethan sighed a bit
“Just play it on your phone.” Peter said “You can set up a playlist and just have it loop.”
Ethan looked at the seahawk in awe. That idea was perfect. It worked out really well too. Too well because Ethan was humming the song the following day.
Day 7
“I swear it’s stuck in my head if I don’t think it’s all I hear bro!” Ethan said as he looked to Sam, who was in the middle of weight lifting.
“So if you keep thinking though you won’t hear it right.”
“Hm good point.”
“So why’d you come to the gym in your normal clothes?”
“Oh I have a meeting at Waddle at 12.”
“Ethan it is 12”
“Mierda! Why are clocks with hands so hard to read!”
Only issue with Peter’s idea Ari wanted to always hear the song and it was keeping Ethan awake the song getting more and more ingrained in his head.
Day 10
Sleep. Sleep was all Ethan needed and it felt so good to close his eyes resting them for a moment to see nothing but darkness.
The wheels on the bus
Oh no he thought opening his eyes a bit, he looked down into his lap. Ari was poking at his cell phone, wanting to play the song.
“Not now Mija '' Ethan said softly as he yawned and looked around. Forgetting he stopped by Sam and Pendels place. The two of them were just starting.
“Yes?”
“You fell asleep i the middle of talking” Sam said
“Ethan you don’t look too good are you sure you’re getting enough sleep.” Pendel added in
“Yeah yeah I’m fine, forgot to charge my phone so I had to go with old methods for Ari.” Ethan said fondly as he smiled at his daughter.
The couple didn’t want to argue with that.
“So when do you get the new buster?” Pendel said as he smiled at Ari who reached out for the seagull to hold.
“Four more days luckily.” Ethan answered handing Ari over. “Then I can sleep again. Papa Ethan got this.” He slurred a bit before passing out again.
“Don’t worry Penny I’ll go with him.” The eagle added when seeing Pendal’s frown.
 Day 14
Luckily Sam was there he was able to keep Ethan standing up as they waited in line. Seemed to be a busy day at the store. Sam holding Ari in on arm and using his free one to budge Ethan awake when he would start to doze off. Ethan finally got to the front of the line and let them know he was there for an order placed a few weeks ago. The clerk was happy to go and get it for him.
Someone in the store though dropped a jar nearby and the sound was enough to make Ari whine.
“Oh Ari it’s okay” Sam said trying to calm her
“Ari it’s okay it’s okay.” Ethan added then eyed the clerk as she returned. Quick to grab the toy from her with a small thank you and a sorry to follow up. As he turned and right away gave the new buster bus toy to Ari who stopped crying the moment she saw it. Ethan smiled and turned the toy on for her.
"Wheels on the bus go round and round round and round" he sung a bit as Ari reached for the toy and smiling brightly. "That's my girl." Ethan said turning back to the clerk "sorry about that she's really been wanting the toy."
The clerk didn't mind and finished up the transaction.
"Jeez some parents and their spoiled brats"
The dog next to them muttered out in annoyance. Sam got annoyed and was about to speak up in defense but was stopped by Ethan. Giving him a look he never really seen from the hooded crow before. Ethan eyed the dog  next and smiled slightly.
“What did you call my precious little girl? A spoiled brat?” The dog didn’t answer, just rolled his eyes in response, making Ethan chuckle. “My baby can be as spoiled as she wants' ' Ethan emphasised as he poke at the dog's chest. “So pull your nose out of my businesses and, sam cover Ari’s ears.” Ethan waited a moment then continued “Vete a la chingada.” Ethan turned Sam around and headed out the doors.
Same looked over to Ethan as they left “You okay bro?”
“No i’m tired as hell.” Ethan said and gently took Ari from Sam turning on the song for her and smiling as she cuddled the plush bus.
“You normally don’t like getting mad.”
“Yeah...I don't. I try to keep that in check. Then I became a dad and I’ve learned something, I would do anything for my little Ari. I’ll stay up signing wheels on the bus for her. Even in spanish. And apparently I’m two second away from punching someone for insulting my daughter.” Ethan just smiled at Sam “Being a dad is weird bro.”

hey so guess who has a lot of feelings about Hecate and cottages and also baking? this gal, that’s who!
part one of cottage feelings, Hecate Hardbroom (eventual hicsqueak + Hecate & Ada feelings) an amount of words, teen, CW: bit of regret/anxiety for past life choices, not being keen on sweet food/eating heaps, nothing major (despite the fact that it’s literally just Hecate’s internal thinking about literally everything bc my Hecate is healing!Hecate)
~*~
Hecate has a cottage, a few hours flight from Cackle’s. Deep in the forest nearby a bubbling brook, a clear sky above a wilderness of gardens surrounding a home of oaken timbre and hardwood floors and a stonecast fireplace at the heart of it.
She doesn’t live there, not really, not with her heart and her mind at Cackle’s for so much of the year. But at the same time, she does: has a space all of her own where she can breathe and simply be, whenever she chooses.
She doesn’t visit on weekends, unless there’s some there she truly needs which simply cannot wait till the break between terms. Sometimes it's a spell book or a spare cauldron, or her second stash of anti-aching potions when her cycle is particularly fierce. Other times, it's just some peace and quiet which the ruckus of the castle cannot provide.
On those days, when things really become too much, she defers to Ada, who sends her to the respite of the cottage with barely a moment’s thought, only pausing to assure Hecate that she’ll keep an eye on her girls and there’s nothing to worry about until Hecate has her head together again.
She’s eternally grateful, for the way Ada seems not to need to poke and prod and pry. For the way she just understands whenever Hecate has something she can barely even communicate herself.
She doesn’t know what kind of a witch she would be if she hadn’t come to Cackle’s a decade and a half ago, and most days she doesn’t give it second thought. But on days like this, when she wrung out and tired and terrified, she can’t help wondering how her life would have turned out, if things had gone any other way.
Those thoughts never end well, full of more sorrow and anger and wretched worries that simply won’t leave her alone, and she knows this life is the best version of any she could have lived (except one, her traitorous mind always whispers, there could have been another. But whenever she entertains that thought, of what it might be like to rewrite three decades or more of her history, she always finds a way to ruin things anyway.)
This is simply how things are meant to be, she’s come to accept. And there are things she has now that she would never want to give up.
Her cottage, buried deep in the wilderness, is one of them. She loves having a home away from home.
Granted, she’s never been good at sitting idle. And she refuses to finish a term with unmarked paperwork. So she never has anything to bring with her, when she returns home with the beginning of break to leave Ada to enjoy the the solitude of her castle.
Once she’s spent the first night cleaning and fixing the interior of the house, so it’s back to being warm and bright and habitable again, and the next day working on the garden to get it back under control without quashing the wilderness that reins free when she’s not here to supervise and any other problems that might have developed in her absence, she does tend to get bored rather easily.
There’s always old spell books to revise, old texts to read over for new ideas to integrate into the coming curriculum. But she’s been over them so many times by now there’s never anything new, just things she hadn’t thought relevant before which the past term have made obvious might actually be a good idea. Her introductory texts get more and more use with each passing year, as the standards of the schools the girls attend before coming to Cackle’s fall lower and lower, and it’s up to her to fill in the gaps left over.
Because it’s her responsibility to train the girls to become the best witches they can possibly be.
Sometimes she thinks it’s a thankless task, but she’s never once wanted to give it up; never once wondered what it would be like to do anything else with her life but this. She really does love teaching, moulding young minds into something better and stronger and brilliant. So they leave the care of Cackle’s Castel with everything they need to become the best witches of their age.
The only problem is the students; they don’t seem to want to learn.
Not all of them, mind—some meld themselves to her methods and grow to shine. Esmerelda Hallow amount to the brightest of her students, though now that fire has flickered out.
Some of them try their best, and learn well, but never truly take to witchcraft the way she wants them too. Maud Spellbody is something like that—smart, clever, and Hecate knows she tries hard; but there’s something missing, that last flicker of drive to become truly brilliant not because it’s expected, of from afraid of failure, but because it’s truly wanted.
Maud doesn’t have that yet, though Hecate wonders if she might come to grow it, if only she could stay away from Mildred Hubble.
Mildred Hubble, who is, without question, the most troublesome witch the corridors of Cackle’s has ever seen. But even she isn’t blind to the effort the girl puts in, even though she’s constantly failing or getting it not quite right. But there’s only so much she can do for the girl, when she doesn’t listen to Hecate.
But she doesn’t come to cottage to spend her time thinking about the school and it’s students. She comes here to get away from them.
So the spellbooks are quickly set aside, leaving Hecate with a immaculate house draped in reds and purples, wood varnish and velvet trim, jars scattered over top-high shelves and flowers drying for hooks hanging down from the ceiling and a forever crackling fire that never ever burns too warm and only ever goes out when Hecate returns home, with a tamed wilderness of a garden outside her kitchen window which gives her a wonderful view of the woodland just beyond, where more creatures to chase that even Morgana could hope to catch, and nothing else to occupy her time.
It’s why she bakes.
She’s never been particularly fond of sweets. Never been fond of the way sugar rushing through her vines makes her feel flighty, twitchy, never quite settled. But she’s always loved the way a kitchen full of baked goods smells.
It reminds her of her mother, when she was small and could sit atop the countertop and watch her mother shuffle around the kitchen making magic they could eat—nothing at all like brewing a potion to cast a spell, but just the same. Exactly the same.
She’s always been gifted with brewing, balancing, blending components to make a greater whole with just a little of herself inside. It's why she excels at potions, why she's spent her life mastering the old ways: collecting and casting to conserve her energies, to balance the fundamental forces of nature against the power in her soul: a touch of this, a splash of that, a spark of her heart.
Baking is just the same.
(It’s called chemistry, she’s been told, in the non-witching world. Mildred mentioned it when she was flicking through a tome during detention one evening.
‘Mum says it’s just like cooking—mixing things to make a chemical reaction, except with food so you can eat it.’
Hecate was surprised the non-magical world was so sensible about the matter, with the way they degraded necessary tasks like cooking and cleaning. How they grouped types of kinds of skills and acted as if different meant lesser.)
But she still doesn’t really like eating sweets. Certainly not the quantities she bakes each day, in any case. But she knows Ada does, that her headmistress adores treating herself to sugary sweet foods throughout the day.
So she sends them over to Ada, alone in her castle; sends her something to brighten her day while she enjoys her huge stone castle, miles and miles away.
She knows Ada appreciates the gifts, just like she knows Ada enjoys sweets all the more when she can share them with others. So she invites Ada to visit, from time to time, to share the solitude of a different kind of peace and quiet. To give her something away from the castle, if only for an afternoon.
She always makes carrot cake when Ada comes to visit, so she can stomach eating a whole slice without making Ada seem rude for helping herself to a third when Hecate is still working on her first. She wants Ada to enjoy herself as much as she can, without remorse for Hecate’s own preferences.
She knows Pendall loves the chance to run through the woods with Morgana, and she takes that as further confirmation, that Ada isn’t just being polite, that she really does love Hecate’s company.
Besides, Ada shares her home with Hecate for nine months of the year, it’s only fitting that she should offer her house open to Ada, whenever she wants it, too.

Name: Joaquin Vasquez Age: 35 Race: Shifter Occupation: Mechanic Face: Utp, POC Status: Open
Traits: Loyal, Selfless, Courageous             Stoic, Antiquated, Alarmist
OVERVIEW:
Joaquin Vasquez’s lineage has always been of leaders, and it was no surprise that he would be chosen to lead his people once his time had come. It was a tragic transition of power, one that exposed him to the knowledge of the other races after the previous leader of the Shifters had found themselves caught in the crossfire of a war that was not theirs. He doesn’t like the others that call The Ridge home, most notably the Elves and Angels that believe themselves to be above everything and everyone else, and has not kept quiet about his position. He doesn’t necessarily want to rule and conquer, but he demands that the freedom of all things be governed internally. He was grateful for the disappearance of Olinir but, knowing that there is an absence of power at the top, Joaquin has begun preparing the Shifters to finally prove they are worthy of it.
CONNECTIONS:
Arariel Ironwing - Joaquin can see right through her, right through the angelic facade and the diplomacy she pretends to support. He has known many beings like her, thirsty for power and for the privilege of their position, and he has made it his personal duty to expose the Angel for what she is ... a usurper waiting for her day.
Lacey Williams - Although a Shifter herself, Joaquin can not condone how friendly Lacey is with the other races. He constantly tries to warn her of what may happen if she gets caught up in their affairs and, even through her continued protests, he will continue to try and save her from herself at all costs.
Lilith Damne - Better the devil you know or, in this case, a Demon that has a personal vendetta against the Angels. Theirs is a relationship of necessity and tolerance, and Joaquin knows that in order to best stand against these much older beings he must first understand them, and Lilith is the best resource for such information.
MENTIONS: Rhaeda Alroot, Hiba Keboos, Tucker Pendal
QUOTE:
“When everything goes to hell, the people who stand by you without flinching -- they are your family. ”

IEN 670: Innovative Work Environments
My original goal that I set out for this course at the beginning of the program was threefold:  To discover the connection between the workplace and creative work, to learn strategies for developing a workplace that will foster innovation, and lastly to learn how to bridge the connection between innovation, culture, and growth. These goals were easily accomplished throughout the course of the month.
During week one we learned the historical types of office environments and how over the course of time they have evolved from a rigid structure focused solely on performance to one that places worker interaction and collaboration at its core. We also discussed our own work environments past and present and then reflected on the impact it had on our performance.  Our activity that week was a research paper based around the Gensler Workplace Study and our understanding of the prevailing shifts that have occurred between 2013 and 2016.  One key learning that I found in the surveys is that between 2013 and 2016, workers are feeling as though they have less flexibility in their positions and work environments.  “The ability to work wherever is best for the task at hand shouldn’t be a perk just for leadership. Invest in strategies to increase autonomy and connect every employee to the purpose behind their work and the broader organizational community” (Hoskins, Pogue, et all, 2016).  In my work environment currently, even though there are policies supporting flexibility, management often detracts from them.  This is something I would be proactive about in my own management style as employees need to encourage to work in the most productive manner for them.
Throughout the duration of week two, we learned about connection between physical environments and the impact it has on workers. In order to attract today’s top talent, businesses are removing walls and creating a variety of workspace options. While this can create a more dynamic and creative work environment, workers are having a harder time focusing and eliminating the distractions of an open office (Steelcase, 2018).  Finding the balance between fun and focus will be the future of office environments.
In week three, we took an in-depth look at accelerators and incubators. Incubators provide excellent opportunities to help entrepreneurs launch their businesses while providing mentoring and connections. They are generally offered through universities or community programs and are low or no cost (Grobart, 2013).  An accelerator will take a stake in the fledgling business in exchange for their help in launching the business by providing expertise and resources (Chadwick, 2019).  In week three we also examined some of the science behind workplaces and the impact it has on workers.  Through my research on workplace cultures, I learned about the necessity of defining and maintaining a culture that reflects the core principles of the business (Dvorack & Pendall, 2018).
This past week we learned about home offices, the transition to formal office spaces.  Along with this we also learned about workplace cultures and the importance we should place on it.  Our primary weekly activity was taking the time to define what our future offices will be like.  By doing so we are better prepared for the future as our businesses grow and this gives us a long-term strategy to follow.
Looking to the future of my own business, this class has prepared me to understand the options for establishing my business within a coworking space or utilizing an accelerator or an incubator.  Starting Stride in a coworking environment would be ideal as it would not only give the business a professional front and workspace, but also exposure to other entrepreneurs.  I will also be researching the possibility of joining an incubator to help rapidly initialize the company with their guidance and connections.  Overall, this course has been extremely effective in meeting my original goals and I have learned a lot throughout it.
