This episode is blood/gore loaded, much more than the previous two, so if you felt uneasy about that, you probably don't want to see this one. The soundtrack keeps going with it's epic-oriented tracks that add a very good atmosphere to the OVA. Also, this disc is only about 50 minutes long, it feels little like. After been waiting for a long time, finally Hellsing Ultimate 3 is here! This episode starts with the aftermath of the attack that took much of episode's 2 time and then follows Alucard, Victoria and a new guy on their trans-continental quest to find out more about the Millennium organization (with help from the less expected source, I must say.) The CGI-loaded animation is still the same, and I've seen people who have loved it and people who have hated it, so for this one, either you love it or hate it, your feelings will be the same. It also includes its own double-sided folded poster, as well a very cool metal DVD box.

So I got two emails from TPDB telling me about content violations from the broadcast of the sharks game. So also maybe a heads up for other content creators maybe. I'm away from my laptop but sure as soon as I get home I have to take a closer look why there were only two things flagged since I'm sure I've made more content than that. Maybe they don't have the rights to game play but stoppage footage is off limits? No idea. I'll keep ya posted.

Personally I found the question important because last year I started working on a documentary about an actor who, like Bogarde, was very dead and very very private, (even likely to lie during interviews). I suspected he wasn't straight but I had no proof of anything. There were passing mentions of girlfriends, but he was for the most part, a bachelor with no children (that I know of). The documentary at the moment is on hold because my trail has gone cold, and I'm trying to get hold of any relatives. But my initial plan was to hear what they had to say, ask for their blessing and, if given, out him if he turned out to be not straight. After all, the family was okay with it, right?

Watching TPDB made me rethink that and change my mind.

The thing is, actors and general media people are sort of... public property, whether we like it or not. They impact people, and I think that we should be able to explore their lives and that impact on society as one does with any other science subject. The key is respect. A documentary about Dirk as an actor and (perhaps also as an activist) seems alright to me. The problem with TPDB is that it's almost morbid and voyeuristic. They got the nurse who took care of him in his final years to show us his flat and talk about his daily routine, going as far as showing us his BATH and all. A line has to be drawn. The main interest in Dirk wasn't (in that documentary) about his work in films, books and all that. It was about his OWN life and what he had (rightfully) refused to share with his audience. Was he gay? Was he not? Who the fuck cares.

yes very true about them having a public impact and the kind of implicit contract they more or less agree to by entering the kind of work they do, but also equally true and important abt the matter of respect and boundaries. i do think something like dirk being gay clearly informed his life and indeed a lot of his work in both film and literature so that information can be useful in exploring his work and cultural impact/legacy. yet outing someone, even posthumously, carries a lot of baggage and history with it and its something i would never ever ever dream of doing especially to a family member or someone i knew closely- but its done now and we do have to live with it. i guess we just have to accept that its happened and take solace in the fact that other gay people like myself (and you im assuming) now see him as an icon or beacon or whatever and for us it positively impacted our view of him. things like his daily routine in the last years of his life or the painful details of tony's nursing and eventual death however don't feel valuable or necessary in that context.

that private life of dirk bogarde doc i actually remember looking at, decided it seemed overly invasive, and did not add it to my watchlist. glad i didnt based on what you said about it. also very interesting abt the doc you've worked on, i wish you luck w finding out more! especially since it seems you're approaching it with intelligence and sensitivity and respect and are working on avoiding the pitfalls of something like that bogarde doc.

I’ve been here since early 2012. Friends in the uk had been raving about 1d, and I listened to the music and liked it. What made me a Larry was watching them on tour every night on live streams and fan posted videos. Their body language and fond faces gave them away. What clinched it was how hard tpdb pushed Eleanor and Nick/every woman Harry looked at or talked to.

Sigh. Yeah. It’s never been easy for them, has it?

I remember trying to search and download movie posters way back in the day and not having much luck finding proper quality sizes. The sites I found always ended up having tiny images or wanting you to buy the posters themselves. With the recent launch of their website, The Poster Database contains high quality original and official movie posters. Let’s see what it has to offer.

What makes you say that Jensen is more done with bearding than Jared? To be honest I find it odd that Jensen was closeted for so long, i don't know him but he always struck me as a take no shit kinda guy, those gentle souls you don't ever want to see pissed off. So the fact that he has to deal with the stupid stunts of pr, cliff, tpdb, the beards, misha play is a big sign of both his ambition as an actor and of his love of jared who I also see as the most closeted of the two.

I agree with everything you said. Jensen has dealt with the Hollywood machine longer than Jared. When he was in DOOL he was asked to leave when his relationship with Austin Peck began to be noticed by the press and fans.Granted leaving DOOL was probably one of the best things to happen career wise, he was devistated when Austin refused to leave the show with him. Now his relationship with Jared, while not directly threatened, has been a huge source of stress to him. Jared's breakdown was probably one of the lowest moments in his life. While it seems that Jensen is outgoing and confident in reality he is painfully shy and probably wouldn't do cons if it weren't for Jared. At SDCC he said his greatest fear was being up onstage in front of a live audience. Last year he was giving off a lot of "this is it, end of the show" vibes. Saying he wants to direct. What's the best way to get the network to end the show? Come out. I think he may have been making noises in that direction, until evidently the CW got out the checkbook to keep Jensen happy and quiet. Of course this is just my opinion on the salary difference. Yours is just as likely.

İstanbul Kültür Üniversitesi (İKÜ) Teknoloji ve Proje Destek Birimi (TPDB) Kuluçka Merkezi Koordinatörlüğü’nün düzenlediği ‘2017 Yazılımda Yenilikçi Projeler Yarışması’nın kazananları, İKÜ’de düzenlenen ödül töreninde açıklandı.

İKÜ Ataköy Yerleşkesi Önder Öztunalı konferans salonunda yapılan ödül törenine İKÜ Rektörü Prof. Dr. Erhan Güzel,  Rektör Yardımcısı Nihal Sarıer, teknoloji ve proje birimi fiKÜr’ün  Direktörü Prof. Dr. Sinan Alçın, proje sahipleri ve öğrenciler katıldı. Toplamda 11 grubun katıldığı yarışmada ilk 3’e girenler ödüllerini İKÜ Rektörü Prof. Dr. Erhan Güzel’in elinden aldı.  Ödül töreninde 1’inci olan gruba 5 bin lira, 2’nci olan gruba 3 bin lira ve 3’üncü olan gruba ise 2 bin lira ödül verildi. Öğrenciler verilen ödülün kendilerini teşvik ettiğini ve projeleri için kaynak oluşturduğunu belirtti. Yarışmanın jüri üyeleri ise şu şekilde; İKÜ öğretim üyesi Prof. Dr. Sinan Alçın, Doç. Dr. Özge Çelik, Doç. Dr. Özgür Koray Şahingöz, Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Mekatronik Mühendisliği Bölümü öğretim üyesi Yrd. Doç. Dr. Hüseyin Üvet, Eren Holding eğitim müdürü Tülin Selçuk ve Türkiye Teknoloji Geliştirme Vakfı’ndan (TTGV) Melih Efeoğlu.

İNSANLARIN JETLE UCUZ UÇMASINI AMAÇLAYAN PROJE BİRİNCİ OLDU

Akif Can Kılıç ve Kaan Karaman, insanların daha ucuza jetle yolculuk yapmasını amaçlayan projeleri jetleuc.com ile birincilik ödülüne layık görüldü. Proje özel jetlerin boş bir şekilde gerçekleştirilen pozisyonlandırma uçuşlarının ticari olarak değerlendirilmesini amaçlıyor. Yolcular için zamandan ve bütçeden kazanım, firmalar için ise maddi kazanım sağlamasını hedefliyor.Proje  paylaşım ekonomisi kökenli bir web ve mobil platform olarak önümüzdeki dönemde  tüketicinin karşısına çıkacak.

İkincilik ödülü de geliştirdikleri “Gealist” adlı uygulama  ilefinansal analizler ve sigorta sistemi ile e-ticaret sitelerinde yapılan alışverişlerde yaşanan sıkıntıları ve yaşanan mağduriyetleri minimum düzeye indirmeyi hedefleyen “Gealist ekibi üyelerine gitti. Üçüncülük ödülü ise kurdukları “Psikoloji Ağı” adlı web platformu ile psikoloji bölümü öğrencileri, Taner Türker, Samet Hakan Uzunlar ve Berker Gonca’ya verildi. Psikoloji alanındaki güncel etkinliklerin, haberlerin, iş ve staj duyurularının, nitelikli ve bilimsel bilgilerin paylaşıldığı, psikoloji alanında eğitim almış herkesin içerik üretebileceği içerik platformu “Psikoloji Ağı” projesi ile psikoloji alanına ilişkin farkındalık yaratılması amaçlanıyor.

“SANAYİ 4.0 SÜRECİYLE YAZILIM DAHA ÖNEMLİ BİR HALE GELDİ”

Ödül törenin ardından yarışmaya ilişkin bilgi veren İktisat Bölümü Öğretim Üyesi ve fiKÜr Koordinatörü Prof. Dr. Sinan Alçın,”İKÜ Teknoloji ve Proje Destek Birimi çatısı altındaki kuluçka merkezinin 2017 yılı “Yazılımda Yenilikçi Projeler” çağrı dönemine katılan gruplar arasında ilk 3’e girenlere ödülleri takdim edildi. Bu yıl sadece yazılıma dönük projeleri destekleme çağrısı açtık. Yazılımı önemsememizin sebebi özellikle Sanayi 4.0 süreci ile birlikte nesnelerin akıllandığı ve birbiriyle çok daha fazla iletişime geçtiği bir döneme geçiş yapıyoruz. Bu süreçte de olmazsa olmaz yazılım, yazılımda öğrencilerin ortak projeler geliştirmesi gelecekte de birçok alanın dönüşümün sağlanmasının katkısı olacağını inanıyoruz. Bu yılki çağrımıza 11 grup katıldı. Bu gruplardaki öğrenci arkadaşlarımız çok farklı alanlarda eğitim alıyor, toplumun çeşitli sorunlarına çözüm bulmaya çalıştılar. Bu projeler tabi ki ticarileşme niteliği taşıyan projeler bu yönde de onlara destek sağladık” dedi.

“AMACIMIZ İNSANLARIN JETLE DAHA UCUZA UÇMASINI SAĞLAMAK”

Jetleuc.com ekibi üyelerinden İKÜ Endüstri Mühendisliği son sınıf öğrencisi Akif Can Kılıç birinci oldukları için çok mutlu olduklarını söyledi. Proje hakkında bilgi veren Kılıç şunları söyledi;

“Mobil aplikasyon tasarladık, şuan firmalarla anlaşmaya çalışıyoruz. Amacımız insanların jetle uçmasını sağlamak. Bunu nasıl yapacağız örneğin İstanbul’dan Ankara’ya giden jet var, yolcuyu Ankara’dan alacak. İstanbul’dan yolcu bulamadı. Bu uçuşu biz sisteme giriyoruz daha sonra da koltuk koltuk satmayı planlıyoruz. Fiyatı ise İstanbul-Ankara uçuşlarında business fiyatlarının biraz üstünde olacak. 3’üncü havalimanı açılıp Atatürk Havalimanı kapandıktan sonra orayı sadece özel uçaklar ve bazı kargo uçaklarının kullanacağından bahsediliyor. Atatürk Havalimanı hem şehrin merkezinde olacak hem de 3’üncü havalimanı uzak geleceğinden insanların bizim uygulamamıza yöneleceklerini düşünüyoruz. Şu bazı firmalarla görüşme halindeyiz. Anlaşma sağlamamız durumunda söz konusu projeyi hayata geçireceğiz.”

“ÖZEL JETE BİNMEK İÇİN ŞİRKET SAHİBİ OLMANIZA GEREK YOK”

Kaan Karaman ise artık insanları jetlere binmesi için şirket sahibi olmasına gerek kalmayacağını söyledi. Karaman,  “Asgari ücretin biraz üstünde geliri olan kişi özel jetle uçma deneyimi yaşayabilir. En son baktığımızda Türkiye’de 200-220 civarında özel jet vardı, şuan talebi karşılamak için yeterli bir miktar. Ayrıca grup indirimi de yapacağız. Projenin yazılımını ve iş modelini okuldan öğrendiklerimizle halletmiştik fakat uçak ve satışlar, iptal şartları ve üyelik konusunda eksiğimiz vardı. Kazandığımız ödülle ile hukuki danışmanlık şirketi ile görüşüp onların halletmesini sağlayacağız ” diye konuştu.

“E-TİCARET SİTESİNDE YAPILAN ALIŞVERİŞLERDE OLUŞAN GÜVENSİZLİK SORUNUN ORTADAN KALDIRMAYI AMAÇLIYORUZ”

Yarışmada ikinci olan Gealist ekibinden, Elektrik Elektronik Mühendisliği Bölümü öğrencisi Merve Darbaş, platformumuzun adı; Güvenlist, amacımız e-ticaret siteleriyle alışveriş tutkunlarını bir araya getirmek ve alışveriş sırasında oluşan güvensizlik sorunu ortadan kaldırmak. Dolandırıcılık vakaları, para iade sorunları gibi alışveriş yapanların karşılaştığı her türlü problemi ortadan kaldırmayı ve alışveriş sırasında mağdur olan tüketicileri sigortalayarak güvenli alışveriş ortamı yaratmayı hedefliyoruz. Ocak 2018’den itibaren site aktif hale gelecek. Ödül sayesinde daha çok motive olduk. Ayrıca sermayemizi artırıp daha fazla yazılım geliştirdik. İKÜ’ye, hocalarım��za, Kuluçka Merkezi’ne çok teşekkür ederim” ifadelerini kullandı.

Gealist ekibinden Uluslararası İlişkiler Bölümü mezunu Hakan Kapaklı ise Amerika’da şirketleştiklerini, Türkiye’de de lansman yapmayı düşündüklerini ilerleyen zamanda tüketicinin hayatını kolaylaştıracak bu projeyi hayata geçireceklerini dile getirdi.

“PSİKOLOJİ AĞI PROJESİYLE; PSİKOLOJİ ÖĞRENCİLERİN İÇERİK ÜRETİP, ÖN PLANA ÇIKMALARINI HEDEFLİYORUZ”

Yarışmada üçüncü olan Psikoloji ağı ekibi üyelerinden İKÜ Psikoloji Bölümü mezunu Samet Hakan Uzunlar, “Projemiz Psikoloji Bölümü öğrencilerinin kendi içeriklerini yükleyip, kendilerini ön plana çıkarabileceklerini amaçlayan bir ortam sağlıyor, bunun dışında kamuyu da bilinçlendirmeyi hedefliyoruz. Ayrıca sitede profil sayfası oluşturmayı düşünüyoruz. Böylelikle psikologlar kendilerini oraya kaydedecekler, psikoloğa ihtiyacı olanlar ise belli filtrelere göre arama yapıp, kendilerine uygun olan psikoloğa erişebilecek” diye konuştu.

Psikoloji ağı ekibi üyelerinden Taner Türker ise, proje başlayalı 6 ay olduğunu ve kısa sürede oldukçagüzel geri dönüşler aldıklarını ifade etti. Türker, “Alan içinde ve dışındaki insanlar üretilen içerikten memnun. Site ve sosyal medya hesaplarımız aktif. İyi bir iş yaptığımızı düşünüyorum umarım daha da iyi sonuçlanır” dedi.

Psikoloji ağı ekibi üyelerinden Berker Gonca’da,  85’in üzerinde farklı kişiye ulaştıklarını ve rakamın oldukça iyi olduğunu işaret etti. Psikologların meslek yasası olmadığını hatırlatan Gonca, söz konusu proje ile bu bilincin oluşmasını sağlamayı da amaçladıklarını ifade etti.
