It really meant a lot to me that I made 5th place in the @Vasafitness Dec - Jan Colorado @myzonemoves Challenge... Honestly I felt like I fell off the wagon in January with so much else going on, but I kept at my gym routine as much as I could ( I only made it 15 times as apposed to my normal 20) and still made top 5 which is crazy! It means my heart rate was UP in a lot of the minutes of those workouts. MEPs is an acronym for MYZONE Effort Points, and it's the metric by which everything is measured in the Myzone fitness tracking system. MEPs are earned by exercising in your target heart rate zones over a period of time. The more effort you put into each of your workouts, the more MEPs you earn! It's a really cool way to know if the effort you're putting in is actually even worth it in my opinion... Getting that heart rate up is what it's all about and having a Myzone strap has really helped me to become aware of how I am TRULY pushing my body.. I wasnt going to share this, I've been having a hard time lately seeing that I've made any progress at all. But that stops now!
