DJ Subatomic Supernova | No Straight Roads

“I love how his glove calls attention to the hand he uses to spin his turntables. The planets around his jacket MOVE!!!! And they form circles around Supernova's head; He literally considers himself the center of the universe. It's a FANTASTIC display of his ego. Also he's not wearing pants because he doesn't expect anyone to see more than his top half, another good bit of characterisation and pretty funny to boot!”

“DJSS has a great silhouette and a beautiful black hole for a head. His space theming matches his solar system-sized ego.”

Ms. Iwasake | Fake Type

“Ms. Iwasake/Iwasake-chan is one half of a battle couple meant to represent the two members of Fake Type. She represents Dyes Iwasaki, who is the composer. Her name comes from Iwasaki, but the last bit was changed to -sake to represent the fact that she’s an alcoholic that drank the legendary sake that caused her to be possessed by Dionysus. Her motifs are a wine glass and flowers. Her skirt in her original design is supposed to look like an upside-down wine glass, and that shape remains throughout most of her outfits. Her outfits change in every video, but there’s always a sense of cohesion with them due to the designers sticking with her motifs and skirt shape. Because she is part of a battle couple, she matches her husband Baron Ham in a few different ways. While she is the wine glass, he is the wine bottle, and their eyes are eachother’s theme colors (pink and blue). She’s also a head taller than Ham, just like their real life counterparts.”

Ms. Iwasake | Fake Type

“Ms. Iwasake/Iwasake-chan is one half of a battle couple meant to represent the two members of Fake Type. She represents Dyes Iwasaki, who is the composer. “I know he doesn't really count as a "character" but he's definitely a design. And a damn good one at that. There is a reason it is the standard for all manner or signage the world over. It gets accross the idea of "a person" in as few details as possible. Circle for the head, no neck, smooth curves for shoulders and any other bends, nub hands and feet. There's so much there to admire that you don't pay attention to. And it feels like no matter what this guy is doing, wether it be riding a bike, getting mauled my machinery, or slipping on a wet floor, you can always tell at even the slightest glance.”

If you struggle to open safety lids, you can always request for your prescriptions to be filled with easy-open lids that just pop off and on! If you have children, then you absolutely need to keep those ones in a safer place since they're easier to get in to.

Some pharmacies even have reversable lids, so you can simply flip them over and change them yourself.

Another option is getting a pill sorter, although those are still dangerous to leave out if kids are around.

This has been advice from a pharmacy worker! Take this knowledge and use it wisely.

Fourth Wall Fight Submissions

Hello and welcome to my tournament all about breaking the fourth wall! This is for any characters who do so, whether that is one time or consistently.

Some rules:

I do ask you to describe how your character breaks the fourth wall. Doesn't have to be a long description, but this is my check to make sure they qualify because I'm not familiar with every character and I think this might be harder to look up.

No OCs please

Nothing NSFW

Only one character per submission but you can submit as many characters as you want

Don't spam one character repeatedly

I base the size of the bracket on how many submissions I get so don't be afraid to submit a lot!

Submissions will close on Friday, March 21 at 12:00 AM EST (midnight). Have fun!

Sorry for the long hiatus. I've become busy at work and drafting my comic, and I lost motivation for the tournament in the process.

I still want to finish the tournament before retiring from hosting for a bit, so I'm going to try to get the next round of the Losers' Bracket up this weekend.

I didn't see the timeloop blog before it ended but it's cool that we were referenced!

Just realized that since, unlike the other timeloop blog, I have no qualms about posting things that aren't polls here. So I can finally talk about all the references on that blog that almost no one pointed out!

This is the one where most people actually got it since I reblogged it to the blog it was referencing, but the both neither button is obviously a reference to my other blog @who-do-i-know-this-man

The self reference that I think almost no one got was a reference was this one:

This is option-for-option, the same as the example post used for @blorbo-gerrymandering (which the characters swapped, obviously). Go check for yourself, it's still in the pinned of that blog.

^this one is a reference to my buddy @do-you-ship-it-polls. I even went through and made sure I got the capitalization and punctuation correct for the options. Unfortunately the mod of the blog did not see it before voting was done, which is a shame cause I feel like a reblog to there could have brought in some funny reactions.

Last one that was a specific reference was this one that is too long to screenshot. Which is a reference to @ultimate-character-design . Even more so than the previous I had to made sure to get all the details of the poll's format. Like did you notice that the names of the characters are bolded? I did. If I didn't the joke would have been ruined.

And thus concludes several paragraphs of me explaining my own jokes cause I get sad when people don't go "I know the thing" when I reference a thing.

Oh one last thing! I saw one other poll blog run a poll with Siffrin and Arimnaes. I think that is comedic gold and very much encourage any poll runners that see this to do the same. It doesn't even matter if 2 characters fit the format, if anything that makes it funnier.
