Lawko left on the table a glass of freshly juiced lemonade. "Today's National Lemon Juice Day in this island." She said as she took a sip of her own glass. "They gave me A LOT of lemons, I guess the scurvy problem is off the chart for now."

"Oi, oi! Stop pretending like I can't take care of myself, Onee-sama!" Lamy huffed, quietly grumbling into her glass as she took the first sip of the murky liquid, her eyes shooting open as her tongue curled in on itself. She started to cough, pushing the drink away from herself. "Blergh! This is just pure lemon juice! Where's the sugar you're supposed to add?!" she sputtered, shooting her sister a look of utter betrayal.

Lunch time arrived and as per usual, Vergo could’ve been found eating his favourite meal, hamburgers. The delicious food plays with his taste buds in most sensual of ways, the same ways old lovers do. He’s truly enjoying his lunch time when he notices Lawko approaching. 

As expected of a doctor, she sprouts lies against his burgers as if the whole world wasn’t aware of those lies. 

If he were in a bad mood Lawko’s intentional jab at his beloved burgers would have resulted in a reaction she expects. He is ready to let it slide until she calls him Vergo. Vergo. Without -san.

His irritation is immediately shown by a deep frown on his face and gritting of teeth. He grips the divine food almost fully crushing it, but remembers in time to take a deep breath before he loses control of his temper. 

Vergo’s voice is cold and distant, every syllable spoken clearly and calmly, just a calm before the storm, which he doesn’t doubt she’ll realise. “People die. Those that eat only vegetables die. Those that eat only meat die. However,” he lowers the burger on his tray, “I wouldn’t be so concerned for me if I were you. Burgers can’t kill the burger king. And that’s Vergo-san to you.”

eyes narrowing slightly as the captain took another step , however didn’t move from their position against the wall though was more than ready to ‘ bite ‘ if needed to ‘    i prefer saying what i think rather than sugar coating it unlike yourself , i have no need for it   ’

a snort left them at the acclaimed innocence  ,  they knew better than that after all why would a captain simply wander thoughtlessly ? the only exception they could think of was the rubber one and trafalgar was on the opposite end of that spectrum.

‘   how about you say something i’ll actually consider being believable first ? i am not that gullible to think this was a mere ‘ curiosity ‘  ’

“You really did it? You and Straw Hat actually defeated Heavenly Demon Doflamingo?”

The former Whitebeard Pirate was still unaware of the full scale of Law’s history with the infamous Donquixote Pirates. Even among the crews of the Yonko it was well known that Doflamingo was incredibly powerful and not one to be trifled with (not that he could hold a candle to their captains, of course). It had been quite a shock to learn that Doflamingo had at last fallen; dethroned, even!

❝Happy birthday, Law.❞ She hands him some books, held together by a red ribbon. ❝Try not to be a grump today.❞

“Why is it that everyone tells me that? Even my own blood…” Law cannot fully hide his annoyance, nor the smile playing in the corners of his mouth just the same. The books have all been in his wishlist for a while now, but he expected nothing less of his twin sister; she knew him better than anyone. Which is why he would be willing to set aside that little tease. Twin sister privileges, he supposed.

There is no need to keep holding onto his own gift, with Lawko right there. With a quick blue glow and a twirl of his fingers, the male twin offers his sister a suspiciously violin-shaped gift. He had taken note of some scratches on her violin case the last time they saw each other, and found a replacement by her favorite manufacturer. He had even bought it instead of stealing it, like a pirate should - what more care could she want?

“Happy birthday for you too, sister. Try to cheer up today, hm?”

“ tell me; would you kill to save a life ? ”

If someone made the mistake of crossing him, of taking from him or stopping him from getting revenge he felt no problem in eradicating whatever impeded him. However, he couldn’t see the necessity in risking himself or his, to take a life in order to save another. At least if he was saving someone of no importance to him.

However. Those that dared to threaten anyone he truly cared for, that deserved to live, and especially if they’d been in danger because of him, than he would without a doubt take a life in order to protect them. There would be no hesitation.

“I suppose it would depend on who I had to kill and who needed saving. I’m still a doctor and would prefer not needlessly taking. But. in the right circumstance I won’t waste a breath in taking a life no matter the cost. Though it would be an extremely rare circumstance that I will not have allowed things to come to.” Eyes narrow beneath the brim of his hat. There is the barest hint of warning in that expression given, if one would notice, his fingers would grip around the handle of his trusted blade, dark letters suggesting to the world what he could offer it should it cross him.

          almost on reflex, mouth widened in preparation to chew the bastard’s head off, but he managed to contain himself on the very last second. a damn close call. it was almost as if people, especially that damn trafalgar bastard, were purposely trying to get him to blow his top off. not today. as if he was going to let them win this one, over his dead body.

          “you have no idea what the hell you’re talking about, trafalgar. not a damn clue.” disgruntled murmurs, the captain tightened his jaw, preventing a scowl from marring his features. he was in dire need of a cold one. a drink to relax with his mates and not have to put up with grievances and annoyances.

Lawko stared for an instant at the girl. After a few seconds, a long sigh escaped her mouth as she turned around. ❝ Again, you're taller again. How am I supposed to keep up with your growth like this? ❞

A bright grin - just short of a few milk teeth - stretched across the girl's lips as she caught up with Lawko, brown pigtails swaying up and down before she finally came to a rest in front of her sibling, forcing her to halt.

Lamy started to balance ontop of her tippy-toes, her fingers crudely measuring the distance between her sister's head and her own. Satisfied with the results, the child leaned backward, triumphantly raising her little fist in celebration. "Ha! I'll be even taller than you one day, Onee-sama!"
