Ok but I must wonder; what's the Bunyip in this other Gloryclan story?

mm im not 100% sure atm, i just know for right now it be a name for a creature/myth that Gloryclan cats could have,,,

maybe a story about an older generation of warriors of Gloryclan and stuff

oR or, because i know in my stories after the events with Tranquilstorm and Agonypaw, all the leaders and medicats were given prophecies voguing about danger within the clans. and this ended up effecting apprentices from all three clans, Decker, agony and Eveningpaw all end up nearly getting killed by Tranquilstorm.

And between these events in general and after Tranquilstorm disappeared all the clans are on edge and have begun to pull away from their IMMENSE trust with each other. My clans are all very close, very ok with cats transferring clans, and cats even visiting other's clan territory for friendship, romances or even events held by the clans, like loyalclan holds what is basically a like a get-together where cats meet on the half moon and share stories, sing songs and catch up with friends.

But after the Tranquilstorm events everyone is on edge for moons, and the clans trust in each other is falling apart

and i'd want this to be occurring and the clan drifts widening over the course of both a after the events of agonypaw's story but with Deckerpaw as a warrior finding his heart longing for something in the marshlands but having so much in Honorclan keeping him there

as well as Bitterpaw's story, and dealing with this new age with the clans falling apart and distrusting each other because of Tranquilstorm... like between wanting to live up to their late mother Bittertounge's name, and having some bitter feelings about Tranquilstorm and Agonyheart and the whole deal with that.

MAYBE maybe.. Bitterpaw thinks if they can find Tranquilstorm and bring some form of justice down on her it would make up for.. something? the stars know if he could ever tell you exactly what

Maybe finding Tranquilstorm out in the marshes far from home, and getting caught up in her hunting a cat eating beast call the Bunyip and how she's trying to stop it from attacking Gloryclan, and doesnt know Bitterpaw is from Gloryclan. Tranquilstorm and Bitterpaw spending time with her sorta training him begrudgingly to hunt and kill the Bunyip and protect Gloryclan, maybe Bitterpaw learning the multiple facets of Tranquilstorm and getting more conflicted with their emotions about her. and in turn Tranquilstorms feelings about training and letting someone close to here, especially someone young like her old apprentice and the baggage that comes with

just a little story about the swirling emotions about people of your past and how you have to process what you've done, who you are and who you want to be. all while hunting down a beast with the cat who killed one of your parents

character facts under the cut

Humidpaw, nephew to the beloved Prismstar. Humidpaw never got to meet his uncle but grew up on this fantastical stories of the late leader of gloryclan. Humidpaw talks big about wanting to follow in his foot steps and become a great leader. Humidpaw is a big handful and him and Awepaw don’t really get along. but his cousin, Agonypaw get along a good bit better enjoying training together. however Humidpaw is a little unaware of how talking about their grandfather’s glory makes her nervous. 

Awepaw, a cat who cats very against their given name. Their very morbid and often like to point out the negative of things, being a real bummer. 

Awepaw likes collecting crunchy dead bugs and decorating their main with them.

Rancortail, a strong warrior who is a pretty blank slate. she is very ‘did ya know?’ kinda gal, often being able to have trivia about whatever is mentioned, weather is be able whatever crab scuttled by or some long dead cat of one of the clans. or even the old ancient clan. 

Tranquilstorm, mentor to the newest apprentice agonypaw. Revelstar gave agonypaw to Tranquilstorm knowing that their late sister was dear friends of prismstar before she died. Tranquilstorm seemed to be quite and gloomy before she got her apprentice. 

Maudlinmoor, one of the newest elders, still young for a cat, retired early due to his narcolepsy. he is 10 years old.

SO! ill make this post about the apprentices! always fun to talk about them! :)) or at the very least ill make it about the Gloryclan apprentices for this post, just because i fear the post would get crazy long if i did them all

and this bout to be a no holds barred since iv accepted ill never write out all my wc oc plot like i wanted to so im bout to fuckin deep dive especially on the main characters

starting with my wc ocs main character, Agonypaw. She shares her stories plot with Eveningpaw and Deckerpaw but she is the main main character of the three for sure.

Agonypaw is the granddaughter of the late leader of Gloryclan, Prismstar. A nobel and beloved leader that the clans treasured and still talk of to this day. Agonypaw's mother was an amazing warrior that they share stories of even now. Agonypaw has big shoes to fill and it kinda ways on her. She plagued with dreams of not being good enough to be apart of her family.

(REST UNDER THE CUT BECAUSE THIS ENDED UP TAKING WAY LONGER THAN EXCEPTED LOL THIS REALLY IS MOSTLY JUST AGONYPAW AND HER COUSINS BUT ONLY THROUGH AGONYPAWS POVE IN THEIR STORY AND ITS A LOT OOPS)

Then she meets Tranquilstorm, a warrior who is nearly a loner to their clanmates. She works alone, eats alone and fights alone. She doesn't speak to others and only put in enough work to warrant her place in the clan and never more.

Agonykit could put her paw on it but something about Tranquilstorm called to her and she begins doing everything in her power to get this senior warrior to notice her. And it goes poorly, Tranquilstorm barely gives her the time of day, until out of no where Tranquilstorm begins speaking to her, and not much longer after its announced Tranquilstorm was to be Agonypaw's mentor.

Agonypaw works hard to be a good apprentice for Tranquilstorm, struggling with some eye issues that runs in her family with members going blind rather young. When Agonypaw expresses to Tranquilstorm how she feels inadequate both as her apprentice and as Prismstars granddaughter, Tranquilstorm straight up tells her not to be concerned about that, that thinking she needed to be like prismstar was nonsense and that she needed to be her own cat. It seems like such a simple thing to say but it meant so much to agonypaw to hear.

A few moons into her apprenticeship and Agonypaw begins to work beside her cousins and realizes how far behind she is to them between Awepaw who has no interest in working hard and humidpaw who was a big klutz, she was no where near their level. During hunts they catch way more than her and during training they beat her easily and she ends up accidently putting a cut in Humidpaw's ear. Which she feels bad about but Awepaw assures her that these things happen. Which makes Tranquilstorm act weird and tell Awepaw to not accept forgiveness for Humidpaw.

Many of their clanmates start commenting on how well Humid and Awe are coming along and how prismstar would have been so proud, often forgetting to include agonypaw in on these comments or lumping her in with pity.

Tranquil tries to reassure her that she doesnt need to compare herself to her cousins and that she's growing at her own rate. Agonypaw tries to take in these words but is finding it harder to accept her own progress

Bittertounge, recent parent to his first litter and mentor to Humidpaw is found dead deep in the marshes. Found by Humidpaw, Awepaw and Sorrowcloud. the cats raise suspicious on what happened as Bittertounge didnt smell of any predators and they could take from the body was that it was probably killed by another cat. Agonypaw finds Bogshadow in the medicine cats den with Tranquilstorm. Tranquilstorm was there for twisting their paw while Bogshadow was there with a bloody paw pad.

The cats are on high alert for the next month as they have no idea if this was a rouge cat, another clans member or even one of their own.

Agonypaw is helping out Coastdance, who many made comments how she didnt even seem sad about the lose of her mate.

During this clean up Coastdane begins to reminisce , saying Bittertounge was the last apprentice Prismstar had before passing away, and that "Funny enough" where they found Bittertounges body was where Prismstar lost his final life. Coastdance claims she's been trying to be strong for their kits and has a small breaks down over the lose of her husband before collecting herself and thanking Agonypaw for listening to her. Before she leaves she mentions that she new Prismstar pretty well before he passed, and that Agonypaw shouldn't worry about how far behind she might feel about her training because she reminded Coastdance of Prismstar just as much as her cousins.

Agonypaw and Tranquilstorm later patrol not far from where bittertounge was found dead, to try and see if theres any trace of the killer around. Agonypaw mentions what Coastdance said and says she still worries if she's living up to the image everyone has of her or if she'll just end up the failure of the gene pool.

Tranquilstorm once again tells her that she shouldn't want to be like prismstar, that even prismstar made mistakes, and wasnt a perfect cat. He even made enemies in his time and that their clan idolized him to a fault at times. And that no matter what they think of her, she should see herself as herself, not prismstars granddaughter. and that "no matter who you end up being ill will watch you"

in this moment Agonypaw sits close to Tranquilstorm in this foggy clearing looking out over the deep thick mud that claimed multiple lives and just thinks about how lucky she is to have Tranquilstorm by her side.

Not long after Awepaw and Humidpaw have been taken on a trip to the Cluster, and on their return Gloryclan leader Revelstar tells them that the three of them will take their warrior assessment in a few days. this comes to a surprise of agonypaw who knows her cousins have been apprenticesa little longer than her and that she didn’t know she was so close to being made a warrior. revelstar claims that tranquilstorm personally said she thought agonypaw was ready, and revelstar mummers that it was the best as they need as many warriors as they can get now

The morning of the assesement Revelstar, Bogshadow and Tranquilstorm join togeather to watch over the apprentices. Agonypaw feels uneasy around Bogshadow remembering how he was in the Healers Pit the day Bittertounge died.

Agonypaw none the less works through her assessment trying hard to not mess it up. Doing relatively well, but a bit stiff knowing she was being watched. It all goes down hill however when she goes in to fish out of a crab hole like she had been taught, only to be greeted by a snake that launches out and sinks its fangs into her face.

Its a swirl of panic as the snake attacks, the last thing she's see's before falling unconscious is the bits of half eaten shellfish around the snakes den and Tranquilstorm rushing to her side.

a bit of a skip later, Agonypaw is stuck in the medicine cat's den as they keep a look out for the infection on her left eye. She has lost the eye to the snake bite and her ruined her assessment. Agonypaw ask what this all meant for her. Tranquilstorm is honest and says she isnt sure, knowing that at the least her becoming a warrior would be put off for awhile. Agonypaw quivers is a fit of sadness in her nest, tranquilstorm twitches a bit before hesitantly laying next to agonypaw where their pelts touch

A storm arrives a few nights later, and another tragedy strikes as one of the barriers around the camp fails and water floods the camp, bringing in lose wet mud into the dens of the camp. The mud flows into the nursery and Medicine cats den. Agonypaw is guided out by the medicine cats who watch in horror as Surlytusk pushes out of the nursery with her kit and one of melancholyspots. Melancholyspot, still stuck inside with her other kit yells for help, answered immediately by Awepaw and Humidpaw. Agonypaw is frozen in fear as her cousins tread through the mud to the nursing cat. Bogshadow and Benevolancelight begin to try to push and block more mud from entering the nursery.

In a flash the two apprentices rush out the kit and parent. Things seem well until the mud pushes Benevolancelight under and their crushed by the mud.

It was too late for the warrior as she was lost to the mudslide.

When the rain finally stopped and everyone was safe, they try to help clean up the medicine cats den and nursery. They also dig up the warriors body to hold their vigil.

Humidpaw and Awepaw have lost their mother and are in shambles. And other older warriors work to reinstall the barrier meant to keep the water and mud flow away from camp, questioning how this could have happened. Questioning if it could also be whoever took out bittertounge.

A few shot days later to give the cats time to grieve, Revelstar holds a small ceremony to not only celebrate the life of Benevolence star but to give her kits their warrior names in her honor as well as for the bravery they showed during the mud slide. Humidfur and Aweshine, Aweshine being named after Prismstars warrior name, Prismshine.

agonypaw is watching this all happen as if its so slow and yet so fast. Everything was just happening as she stood here in the rain listening to everyone call out her cousins new names. agonypaw begins to back away from everyone, her mind racing.awe was named after their grandfather, this whole time everyone has been looking at Aweshine as the prodigal child and not agonypaw, even though she worked so hard she fell so far behind and she had been so full of herself this whole time for nothing.

agonypaw leaves camp and walked out into the marsh turning to a full sprint until she is at the edge of their territory and at the bank of the swollen river. Looking down at her reflection, distorted by rain droplets. tranquilstorms reflection appears next to hers the swirl of a light storm cloud outlines her dark figure and two icy blue eyes look right at her, Tranquilstorm

Agonypaw speaks up, she is quickly shaking with emotions as she tells tranquilstorm how shes feels. How she’s so sorry that tranquilstorm has to be her mentor, how she feels like his disappointed everyone even her who never saw her as just prismstars decendent. How even though tranquilstorm recommended her as a warrior that she got her test early she failed so bad she was pushed back from being a warrior for longer than she would have been originally. Tranquilstorm having to put in so much last minute work to help her with her eye. How that when she heaerd awepaw-aweshine get her name. She heard that they gave her their leader prismstars old warrior name, prismshine. She realized then how much she has idolized herself. She thought everyone was looking at her as prismstars great granddaughter, pridebriars daughter, this chain in a line of great warriors. But no one was looking at her like that, not as much as they did awepaw. She was so self centered she didn’t even realize awepaw was doing so well to have this attention.

tranquilsstorm then tells agonypaw the day agonypaw was made her apprentice her life changed. She had a new goal in life. Agonypaw being her apprentice has been the best moons of her life. And that she knows she will one day make a great warrior weather or not she is prismstars blood.

On their way back to camp they find a loner by the banks of the river, and Tranquilstorm spooks him off. Agonypaw questions if they may have been the cat to do all the horrible things recently, shuddering at the thought. For awhile Tranquil doesn't reply, then she tells agonypaw that she doesn’t think there is an actual rouge problem in their territory. Tranquilstorm says that she thinks theres a beast in the woods, and that its whats been causing the problems. She claims to have overheard some honorclan cats talking about ally cats mentioning a beast named ‘Grendel’ that has chosen to curse their home.

Agonypaw vaugely knows the Name Grendel as the name of the beast that hunted their marshes long ago, and their first leader Glorystar fought.

agonypaw ask why she hasnt told revelstar. Tranquilstorm tells her that she overheard it at the last gathering and has been afraid of telling revelstar. Perhaps she may sound crazy, or revelstar would attack the creature and get hurt. And for all she knows its just a rumor and doesn’t want cats to get worked up during this rain and flood

That night Agonypaw rolls in her nest thinking of this horrible shadow beast that plague their woods. She wants to tell someone, to try and help them understand and fix the problem, but thinks to how Tranquilstorm made her promise not to tell anyone.

however agonypaw mulls over the thoughts in her head and concludes. She wouldn’t break tranquilstorms promise and couldn’t keep her clan safe if she drove out the beast. She could prove herself worthy of everyones gaze. She will get their approval. agonypaw decides she is willing to do or die for her clan. She would die trying to become something great before she lived her life a failure. agonypaw rest for the night, her mind made up. Shes hunting the beast.

By morning she has snuck out of camp to track the beast alone. Agonypaw almost runs into a patrol but hides from them, watching the sleepy morning patrol go by. she doesn’t want to get caught or get anyone involved in her quest, and once the patrol goes by the continues her search

she swears the rain and wind is worse than it has the passt few days, she hears a rumble of thunder. just her luck, the sound of rain sounds like paw steps as the heavy drops hit the forest

agonypaw believes she hears something in the short distance and feels eyes on her, from deep in the marshes where her clanmates have died in the past, where they were forbidden to go as the mud was too deep and thick for even the strongest warriors.

As her mind focuses into the muddy and foggy grove, she hears her name suddenly. Aweshine and Humidfur, their out here in the rain calling for her. They sound worried. the two stop at the edge of the territory, agonypaw cant hear them over the rain, they sound upset. their saying something about her and it makes her want to come out and tell them she’s ok, its ok shes right here. To ask for their help, but she remembers tranquilstorms words, not to tell anyone because she didn’t want anyone to get hurt. And if she let aweshine help no one would ever look at her, only aweshine

The two warriors give up calling for agonypaw, are quiet for a moment before they mutter something agonypaw cannot understand and seem to run off back into the forest. But not they dont seem to head homeward.

she comes out of hiding, she looks to the deep dark swampy part of their territory. Very little safe places to step, a wrong move and you’ll be up to your snout in mud.

its then that she notices a bubble pop on the surface of the ground and reveals what appears to be a half eaten piece of prey, a fish. Those can’t be found around here. Something brought it here. she notices there large claw marks on a log that sits in the mud ahead. the beast is out there, and she going to have to go after it

Agonypaw takes a leap of fate, landing clumsily onto a wet rock sticking out of the mud. Then to the next rock, then another long leap to the truck of a small tree, and up into its branches. Lunging from one tree to the next, eyes on the ground looking for her prey.

the she notices claw marks, smaller in the branches where she was. Small broken branches. Someone had been up here. agonypaw in a bit of horror questions if this had been were bittertounge had been a few moons ago before he died. Had Bittertounge attempted the same thing agonypaw was right now, was his fate to be share with her?

agonypaw shake off the thought and continues off trying to not be caught out here when the sun set. She reaches the end of the trees she can reach and sees far below is a large smooth rock. She just needs to get to the rock then she can keep going. Stepping to the mud, working with all her might to stay above, to not sink down, unable to find a bottom in the dark sludge.

she continues to drags herself but grows more and more tired and the rock still seems to far away as she struggles to keep moving

she starst to yell out loud that she WONT be her grandfather,she wont die here, she going to be someone great, but on her own terms. She wont waste into another nobody after tranquilstorm worked so hard, She'll stand strong as her own warrior. She isnt prismstar.

suddenly she feels someting grab her neck, she feels panicked for a moment as the three mouths grab onto her but is too tired to fight back and in a flash theres solid ground under her.

She catches her breath and sees Humidfur, Aweshine and a Honorclan apprentice Deckerpaw panting beside her, covered up to their necks in mud.

once aweshine catches her breath she begins to lick mud off agonypaws face and start cursing the stars that she was worried sick about her. agonypaw is suprised by the grim toms worried tone, Aweshine was never one for emotions yet here she was, the most scared she had ever seen her.

aweshine and humidfur press agonypaw for what in the world she was doing out here in the rain. She could have gotten herself hurt. agonypaw doesnt know how to answer until she relizes she does, she’s know what to say for a long time and just hasnt

agonypaw tells aweshine flat out that she was jealous of aweshine, and afraid of how everyone would look at her if she failed as a warrior. And after she lost her eye and her chance at being a warrior it only got worse. She wanted to be someone who could proudly be called prismstars kin, but then she relized she didn’t really want that.she did, at first. But now she just wants to be a warrior,a nd make everyone proud, especially tranquilstorm

Aweshine freeze as the mention of Agonypaw mentor's name.she looks around and questions where tranquilstorm is. agonypaw questions why aweshine thinks tranquilstorm would be here but is interrupted as the rock under them begins to rise and shake revealing to the the large back of a turtle bigger than any of the gloryclan warriors. This was a monster they stood upon.

The four cats begin to slide at the movement of the beast under them. Three of them falling to the back end of the turtle, Aweshine crushed until the back leg and shell. while agonypaw falls to the front right into the mud, right under the turtles killing maw.

Agonypaw struggles to get away from the turtles powerful snap, its then that she sees her mentor, Tranquilstorm perched safely in a tree above them watching.

every thought races through Agonypaws mind as she tries to understand what was happening and how she would get away from the beast.

But the thoughts dont last long as Tranquilstorm launches from her branch, claws outstretched to meet the beast. As the turtle snaps down it takes Tranquilstorms tail into its mouth and the loud crunch is heard. Tranquilstorm none the less holds onto the monsters face for dear life as the younger apprentices and warriors crawl to smaller rocks or to the base of the trees.

Tranquilstorm tells Agonypaw she's sorry as agonypaw is frozen in place in the mud. Agonypaw can only search her mentors eyes for something.

It isnt much longer before a patrol of cats appear

revelstar, mutestar bogshadow, jocundbounce,algeasnout, sorrowcloud, brashtounge and moldpelt all led be eveningpaw of loyalclan.

the group helps the apprentices with the turtle. Managing to get it to open its mouth and let go of tranquilstorm. the group hurries away from the turtle and helps the tired apprentices and tranquilstorm back to camp. the older warriors mutter more quietly, many words of tranquilstorms name was thrown around as they led everyone back to camp.

Agonypaw doesn't know what to feel but stays by Tranquilstorms side as they work on her tail, just as her mentor did when she lost her eye.

Tranquilstorm tells agonypaw shes sorry once more before falling asleep in the medicine cats den.

The sound of rain comes to pass.

Its some time later, Agonypaw is at her warrior's ceremony, she is named Agonyheart.

Tranquilstorm is still in Camp but basically a prisoner. her and Agonypaw's relationship is wobbly since it was outed that Tranquilstorm not only tried to get agonyheart killed, but was also responsible for the deaths of Benevolancelight and Bittertounge.

this is about where the story of Agonypaw would end. Ambiguous to how Agony feels after everything that happened and if she can fully forgive her mentor. But her heart is kind and she loved her like family too much its hard to fully hate her.

Tranquilstorm would come to be allowed to resume warrior duties but only under diligent watch other trusted warriors. Probably would up and leave due to guilt and other aspects, just disappear into the night not to be heard from again, only leaving with one last sorry and goodbye to her last and only apprentice who changed her heart forever.

Tell us about the leaders!

the three current leaders of the clans!

Greasestar, leader of Honorclan and formerly known as Greasepool. He is the 7th generation of leaders to the clans.

Formerly a pet alongside his brother York they ran away from home to be strays. Until they met Macstar the leader at the time. Who fought him over a misunderstanding of prey, Macstar said he say potential in the two of them and if they wanted to they could join him in Honorclan where they could hone their skills.

The two were amazed at the large warrior tom and simply followed him to camp. They wanted to be just like him

They trained alongside a few others, notably Avenue who had been there for a few moons a weird lookin cat that to be honest York and Grease werent so sure was even a cat.

None the less they were named Greasepaw and Yorkpaw and quickly became friends with Avenue.

Greasepool became a cunning warrior who was charming to others, very likable. He was made deputy to Macstar after Thorntail's death, and after Macstars death Greasestar was made leader.

He became mates with avenue and is known as a kind leader with a sympathetic heart. But a mean streak to those who have wronged him.

Revelstar, Current Gloryclan leader and formerly named Revelspark. 4th leader of Gloryclan.

Revelstar is large and wise leaders who cares for all their clansmates, always watching out for them and wanting to keep them safe. when their clanmates are hurt its on Revelstar's shoulders they dont want anything bad to happen to their clan

they are the oldest of all the current leaders by a few seasons. They had a mate in the past, Elmsprout who has now passed on. They also have their child Algeasnout who is the current head medicine cat of Gloryclan.

When things went down with Tranquilstorm and Agonypaw they felt personally responsible as they put Agonypaw into Tranquilstorms care. Revelstar was never able to forgive Tranquilstorm and wanted to send her away or worse.

Mutestar, current leader of Loyalclan and formerly named Mutewatcher. She is the fourth leader of Loyalclan.

She became leader after the death of the former leader andher former best friend Flaxstar. She was rather close friends with Flaxstar until talk began through the clans and Flaxstar started trouble with Gloryclan over old grudges without telling her. The fight got the deputy of Gloryclan and Flaxstar killed.

Mutestar was made leader but she often wonders if she should be leader, if Flaxstar was such a crooked cat, she once put so much trust into him did that mean she was a bad pick? that she had bad judgement.

All thoughts that she keeps silent in only her mind, for she is leader now and cannot show her clanmates she isnt fit to lead.

Mutestar is, as her name says selectively mute. As a kitten she was named Melodykit by her parents Frugtune and Wheatwhiskers. But after spending most of her early kit hood not making much noise she was renamed Mutekit. Her littermates are Hummeadow and Songchaser. Mutestar was also born mostly black and slowly has turned white as she's gotten older. She's a bit of an oddity to some but well respected.

She love to attend Loyalclan monthly gatherings where cats from all clans meet in-between gatherings to share stories, sing songs and be festive. Thought they often tell stories of the fall of Flaxseed and it makes her uncomfortable.

What does Grendel look like?

Current "Grendel" is just a large alligator snapping turtle, and Tranquilstorm only names it to attach a scary name to it

The original Grendel is told in stories passed down through the clans. How when the first cats of Gloryclan settled into the marshes they were attacked and driven out multiple times by a large beast of many snapping fangs and haunting howls.

Said to be slain by the cat names Hero, later named Glorystar.

In truth is was a pack of huge pack of stray starving dogs from the town that terrorized the cats until Hero lead an attack to drive them out.

Can we hear about Deckerpaw?

Deckerpaw, the secondary main character from Honorclan of the Agonypaw and Tranquilstorm story.

Deckerpaw was originally a kittypet named Decker. Born with a large litter of kittens and fostered by a human who later moved in with another human, who owned their own pet, Clue.

Decker was quite young but looked up to Clue terribly thinking he was such a cool cat, and considered him an older brother.

Clue, getting annoyed with the bombardment of these new kittens decided to run away from home. For whatever reason Decker followed after him.

Clue joined Honorclan after receiving an invitation, and didn't realize Decker followed him. Too little too late as he couldn't really take the kitten back or make him find his way back alone, so he was also taken in by Honorclan and made an apprentice.

Deckerpaw would be able a moon or two older than Agonypaw or Eveningpaw and start his apprenticeship a good bit before them.

Deckerpaw has been an apprentice for about a moon, given to Rubbervine as an apprentice. Deckerpaw really like Rubbervine and love getting to learn new things, but is struggling as Rubbervine is the most distractible cat. Often telling Deckerpaw to end training early and treat himself to fresh kill, or just asking the other warrior to take over his training for the day. Usually because Rubbervine wants to run off and spend time with Expressohop.

Deckerpaw already feels like he's behind due to not growing up in the clan like all the other apprentices, and now he doesn't even have a consistent mentor or training program.

The worst part is how often Rubbervine runs off and Deputy Batnose seems to show up to take over Deckerpaw's training, Deckerpaw feels guilty for not only bothering his deputy but as well as embarrassing Rubbervine by not being very skilled or even getting him in trouble by little Batnose find out. He didn't even tell anyone it was happening for the first few days of his training when it happened, but after letting it slip it seemed like him and Rubbervine were always paired with another group of mentor and apprentice almost like a fall back for when Rubbervine runs off so Deckerpaw isnt just left alone with no work.

Deckerpaw is being bounced between Looptail, who already is busy training Zincpaw or Stainspot who is busy training Rutabagapaw. Deckerpaw even nots that Stainspot, a usually very cheery and silly cat getting frustrated and openly upset about Rubbervine's behavior. Which Stainspot usually brings up to their littermate, Batnose.

The two cats comment in whispers that if things stay this way their going to have to make changes and Deckerpaw thinks about how his tummy feels like knots listening to them Greasestar and Batnose host a training session to watch the apprentices train in fighting. Deckerpaw is clearly as a disadvantage compared to Yampaw and Rutabagapaw who demolish Deckerpaw who is bigger than the other two and only a moon younger in training.

Batnose and Greasestar whisper together as they watch on, Deckerpaw feels the knots in his stomach again.

If he wasn't good enough would they make him leave? send him back to his old home with his human?

its the next morning while the apprentices share their kills, the apprentices point out Deckerpaw's unusually quite behavior. In walk Rubbervine and Expressohop, back from whatever night activities the two have run off to do.

Rubbervine and Expressohop split apart for now and Rubbervine comes over to ask Deckerpaw to go out on a patrol and some mild hunting training. However he's cut off as Batnose comes over and tells Rubbervine that Deckerpaw would no longer be his apprentice and will be transferred to Batnose for the remanded of his apprenticeship. Rubbervine tries to protest and ask if this is a joke, but Batnose is dry and simply walks past Rubbervine and out the camp, telling Decker to follow her.

Its this silent long agonizing second of Deckerpaw and Rubbervine looking at one another, a face of guilty looking to a face of confusion. Deckerpaw breaks eye contact, no longer able to look at the cat he once called his mentor, breaking past him and after Batnose

Some time has passed and Deckerpaw is now started training with Batnose and taking some days to train with the other apprentices hoping to catch on with their more advanced skills

Deckerpaw seems blissfully unaware how much worse he is at training compared to the other apprentices he seems to just be so happy to getting to go out and be with a mentor who seems to want to work with him

we see Rubbervine has started doing apprentice duties with the other apprentices such as cleaning out the dens. Greasestar mentioned this to be partially punishment for neglecting his duties as well as realizing, Rubbervine never was an apprentice himself. He joined the clan an adult and was just made a warrior, of course he didn't know how to train an apprentice, he never had to learn to be one himself. Deckerpaw overhears other cats in the camp saying they felt bad for him and how clumsy

his apprenticeship has been and how much it shows in his skills. Decker is trying really hard, working more than he's told when Batnose isnt around just to try and prove he's worthy of a mentor like her.

Deckerpaw is trying out fighting moves in the camp and fails a move while shy Yampaw executes it perfectly one of the warriors gives Deckerpaw a ‘don't worry champ your getting there’ and it just CRUSHES Deckerpaws spirits.

Deckerpaw begins to mop about, going as far to fake a stomach ache to stay in the medicine cats den with Rushwall. Rushwall seems to catch on that Deckerpaw only felt down emotionally and listens to him talk about his recent feelings.

the next day Deckerpaw is getting ready to go out with Batnose and see’s her and Rushwall talking. Rushwall gives Deckerpaw a smile as they pass and tells him ‘good luck’ Deckerpaw and Batnose are going out training and are being accompanied by Rubbervine today. Batnose says Rubbervine is joining them so he can see how being a mentor is done. Rubbervine seems to be struggling to keep up with their patrol and hunting Even Deckerpaw catches some prey on their hunt while Rubbervine turns up nothing.

Rubbervine tells Deckerpaw how impressed he is with him and his progress and comments that he didn’t realize there was so much to the apprentice ship. this small comment from his old mentor cheers up Deckerpaw a bit Back at camp Batnose and Deckerpaw eat together and talk about Rubbervine. Batnose says when Rubbervine joined Honorclan they just made him a warrior because he was too old to and already experienced enough, Batnose even ponders if outside joiners should have an apprenticeship despite age when joining from outside the clan

Deckerpaw sees the other apprentices are trying their best to cheer Deckerpaw on and help him with learning moves and skills he needs.

At the next full moon Deckerpaw is invited to the gathering. He had been to one the previous moon but was still very excited, he loved getting to meet new cats, especially the other apprentices, recalling meeting the Gloryclan apprentices about his age, Awepaw and Humidpaw. Humidpaw had been very friendly but seemed to become cliquish with Rotpaw of Loyalclan While Deckerpaw found himself spending the evening with Awepaw, chatting her ear off, the tom just sat there and listening the whole night, she was such a nice cat. Deckerpaw hoped to see her again.

And his wish would come true, spotting the Gloryclan apprentices entering the Docks where the Gathering is held, Humidpaw who would almost immediately wander over to the Loyalclan Apprentices to sit with Rotpaw while Awepaw stuck to the side of a grey she-cat with a face he didn't quite recognize. The new grey apprentice would introduce herself as Agonypaw, Awepaws cousin.

Awepaw would try to point out Eveningpaw of Loyalclan was here and that Deckerpaw should go introduce himself, as he's the big welcome party here. With how dry and snappy Awepaw is Deckerpaw almost thought the tom was telling him to go away, but Deckerpaw being as clueless as he isnt take her words at face value, but finding the loop hole. He brings Eveningpaw to them.

For the night Evening, Agony and Decker (also Awe who struggled to sneak away without Deckerpaw noticing and pulling her back into the conversation, because he's worried she's thinking she's interrupting or not welcome when it really is she's trying to get away from them)

that night they would sit and listening to tales of the old Gloryclan leader Prismstar and his old Deputy Daisynose.

The gathering ends and Deckerpaw returns to Honorclan. Some moons later Deckerpaw's training is going very well, he's catching up nicely and has even begun to try and patch things up with Rubbervine.

It seems to be going well enough that Batnose tells him he's ready to take his journey to the Cluster, a right of passage for every clan's apprentice.

Deckerpaw acts excited and promises to be ready to go when the time comes, but the moment she walks away Deckerpaw is poking questions on what on the stars green earth was the Cluster.

A bit funny to the other apprentices who are amazed no one's brought it up before, especially since both Yampaw and Rutabagapaw already went themselves.

The Cluster is Describe as long ago cats once ruled these lands, for many many moons, before they were driven out and new cats came to claim the land, once again these cats were driven out until something called a new group of cats back. Happening time and time again. In stories the thing that calls them back is sometimes a call of adventure, or a large rock gifted by the moon, or a pool made of dreams. Moons ago these lands were destroyed and drove out the old cats, until one day the stars themselves cried out for their destroyed home. their star lite tears falling down to earth and into the river that cut their land in three. That far up the river there's a waterfall were most of the tears lay and that cats that wish to be close to their clans history go to speak with them. These are stories that were told to the first cats who settled here moons ago and made the clans they know today.

Deckerpaw would awake to the morning of their travel, Rushwall, Greasestar and Deckerpaw three would take the journey up the creek to speak with the stars.

Greasestar makes conversation with Deckerpaw, asking how his training with Batnose is going, a lot of awkward filler talk. Until Greasestar mentions his own past as a kittypet and understanding how hard it can be in this position.

Deckerpaw asking his greasestar if he misses anything about his old life like his humans. Greasestar admits some times he misses the comforts of that life but is happy that the clans took him in when he was at his lowest. And having Yorkwish by his side the whole time has made things easier.

Deckerpaw thinks of Cluesplash and how he is happy to have his brother in the clan with him, but knows Cluesplash could take or leave the young tom.

As they reach the three way meeting point of all the streams, they run into Mutestar with her apprentice Eveningpaw and Medicine cat Softheart. They claim to also be taking their apprentice to the Cluster, and what a coincidence it is that they both chose to do this on the same night.

All the leader and medicine cats take lead continuing their journey, while whispering to one another. Deckerpaw and Eveningpaw fall to the back to talk to one another.

Deckerpaw ask if Eveningpaw is excited to be seeing the Cluster for their apprenticeship. Eveningpaw curls her tail in as a nervous twitch and glances away before agreeing to say she is happy that they both are going at the same time.

As they travel further the sun begins to set and the ground grows soft as they walk along the edge of the bank bordering Gloryclan. it is here they hear movement through the foliage, out from the bush comes Revelstar who seems surprised seeing the two leaders and their companions

To little surprise Revelstar is with their Medicine cat and daughter Algeasnout and apprentice Awepaw. Before they can even speak Greasepaw guesses if they too were taking their apprentice to the Cluster and has them join their up river party.

Awepaw steps out from her hiding spot nodding to mutestar and greasestar in respect. Deckerpaw heart warms seeing his dear friend Awepaw who in turn ignores the tabby toms greetings

They arrive at the Cluster by Moonrise. Coming to a soft small waterfall with large round rocks around the base, water drip and bouncing off. a soft cool air surrounded this place.

As the moon rose overhead they begin to notice small soft rocks seem to glow under moonlight like magic.

The apprentices watch their leaders wad into the water, sip from the stream before perching themselves onto the rocks and under the stream of the waterfall, telling the water flow down their pelts.

Their eyes look up to the moon, bright and round in the reflection of the white dot in the sky. Their silent, almost comatose like state. Eveningpaw sat on one side of the pool looking up at their white leader who's pelt shined bright in moonlight. her eyes seemed to be filled with worry.

Awepaw sat by Deckerpaw, closer than she ever seemed to want to before. It made Deckerpaw feel itchy and warm to have the tom so close. Was she always bigger than Decker? did she grow? Her fur was so soft and long, and the little bits of dead bugs in her coat? he new Gloryclan cats were one for accessorizing with flowers and such, was this Awepaw's way of showing off their personality? Decker wanted to ask, he wanted to know more-

before Deckerpaw's dopey brain could ramble on, Awepaw suddenly looks at Deckerpaw with a serious and concerning look in her face. Deckerpaw's Fur grows warm as the tom leans in so close to his space, before his words make his veins run dead cold

"I need to tell you a secret… I need your help. I think there's a traitor in Gloryclan"

Deckerpaw is astonished at Awepaws words, not only trusting him with a secret when it never seemed the tom liked anyone else but that there was danger in Gloryclan and Awepaw came to him for help?

the leaders awaken and leave the water, softheart and mutestar whisper to one another while the other two leaders walk silently to their apprentices

Awepaw stands to follow revelstar but not before whispering to deckerpaw to meet her at their border in two days time. Deckerpaw follows after Greasestar glancing back at Awepaw who has returned to acting like Decker doesn't exist the three groups travel almost silently, Eveningpaw walking with Mutestar away from the other apprentices and Awepaw at the back behind the wall that is Revelstar. Deckerpaw also makes note that all the leaders and medicine cat have completely dried now despite being submerged in water moments ago and their pelts smelt of fresh air and comforting aromas.

Deckerpaw returns home and rest, waiting for the time when he would meet Awepaw.

Deckerpaw awakes early the next morning, he can hear the soft murmurs and paw steps of cats returning in from the night patrols and hunting. Deckerpaw waits until its quieted down for a moment before sneaking out of camp.

Deckerpaw follows the river all the way to where their border meets Gloryclan, right where he can see the large growth of plants and herbs that was refereed to as the Garden.

Deckerpaw recalls the first time he saw Awepaw gathering herbs with their medicine cat, it had been the first day Deckerpaw had been taken out from the forest and the city to see the borders. Awepaw was so small that first time he saw her, especially compared to the massive medicine cat Wetfur she was with at the time, even her brother Humidpaw had been bigger than her.

thinking of Humidpaw he wondered where the tom was the other night at the cluster. From what he understood, usually apprentices who are made apprentices together tend to go together on this trip. He wonders if Humidpaw is alright, if his absence had anything to do with the ‘traitor’

as Deckerpaws thoughts become panicked Awepaw appears at the bank, Deckerpaw hurries over to greet Awepaw who tells the tom to hush and pulling him into the thick herb garden.

Awepaw explains that she thinks something wrong is happening in Gloryclan and that at the gathering she remembers overhearing the clan cats talk of a tom named Shriek who seemed to be wise and always knowing what's happening but is located in Honorclan

Deckerpaw has a moment feeling sad that Awepaw only asked for deckerpaws help because he is a Honorclan cat, but reassures himself because Awepaw still trusted him

Deckerpaw thinks for a moment, recalling older warriors talking about someone named Shriek, but he didn’t know where they lived. No matter, he was just going to have to play detective and try and figure the information out. He can start by trying to get some information out of one of his clanmates he overheard mention Shriek.

Awepaw and Decker begin their hunt into Honorclan territory for answers.

Deckerpaw begins to ask Awepaw why they think there's a traitor in Gloryclan, Awepaw says that her brother Humidpaw found Bittertoungs body, and had found a clump of fur in the teeth of Bittertounge that smelled of one of their warriors, the two assume it came from the cat that killed Bittertounge

All the cats claimed that it must have been rouges that had been scented in their territory that killed Bittertounge but there's no proof of this and with the fur found with Bittertounge their suspicious. But Humidpaw is too scared to tell anyone worried someone will be hurt and Awepaw chose to go against their asking and get help from outside sources.

they say maybe shriek can tell them of any rogues that had gone to Gloryclan or have been working with a Gloryclan cat

they enter the city

Awepaw is struggling with the loud noises and the busy streets and random alley cats walking about. Deckerpaw help Awepaw onto a roof to get them out of the way of the busy streets. Awepaw seems stressed by the city but Decker reassures that he’s gonna keep her safe

Deckerpaw notices a patrol heading their way and in a flash is down from the roof and to the road talking to them. Deckerpaw makes up some excuse about needing to meet Shriek, under Batnose's orders.

Deckerpaw returns with the information and leads Awepaw to Shrieks home. Awepaw apologizes for slowing them down by taking the roof route, it doesn't sound like Awepaw apologizes very often.

they climb up a fire escape to a window. As if waiting for them Shriek lazes on a pillow near the open window

Deckerpaw introduces himself and Awepaw goes straight to asking questions. Awepaw ask Shriek if there have been any alley cats or rouges entering Gloryclan or if anyone has been working with rogues here to hurt Gloryclan cats

Shriek says that no Rouges have been going to Gloryclan, no one has any reason to be going out to that mud hole. Awepaw is quiet before Shriek continues and says, however a Gloryclan cat has been visiting here, she doesn’t seem to be taking any rouges with her, just coming by and chatting and taking some of their left over rags and left over prey. He's never seen her himself but has heard from the local cats about her poking around often.

Awepaw thanks the cat and they leave. Deckerpaw questions if they got the information they need and Awepaw nods seeming to be unable to awnser with words. Their eyes wide and their fur on end.

she reveals that the fur they found, they thought it to Tranquilstorm but didn't have any proof to jump to this

Tranquilstorm killed Bittertounge

the two begin to head back toward Gloryclan when of all the things to happen, Tranquilstorm is spotted walking down the street

they hid and Deckerpaw follows Tranquilstorm from the roofs with Awepaw struggling to keep up

they see Tranquilstorm wander into an alley where some cats live, she collects a whole fish from some tom and chats for a bit. They can hear her say something about Agonypaw and ‘Grendel’. She gestures to her eye when she mentions Agonypaw.

Awepaw is panicked wondering what Tranquilstorm is planning

Deckerpaw blocks Awepaw and she tries to rush off, telling her that she doesn't have to go back, that its dangerous back at her home and that he knows Greasestar would understand if she just stayed here

Awepaw disagrees saying she must return home as she fears for her sibling and cousins safety and that they must know what she has learned. Deckerpaw heart tightens as Awepaw roughly pushes past him and hurries away alone.

Its been some time since Awepaw and Deckerpaw's time togeather in the city. His minds been racing, should he tell someone? who should he tell? would Awepaw want him to, was Awepaw safe? was he able to get back in time?

All the questions flooded his head everyday he could barely focus on training and working. He barely noticed when his clanmates were collecting their things to evacuate their campsite.

The nonstop rain had brought the river into their dens and now they were sheltering where they can in the city away from the rising water and city cats.

Deckerpaw is sat under a pigeon coop on the roof of a building along with Expressohop and Rubbervine

Expressohop and Rubbervine coddle each other, licking each others pelts dry were drips of water have fallen on them

Deckerpaw troubled thoughts are brought to an end as he’s greeted by Zincpaw and his older brother Cluesplash who say they have been sent out to scrounge for food and wanted to see if he wanted to join

Deckerpaw teases asking if it was Cluesplash’s idea to invite him, knowing full well Cluesplash still wasn't Deckerpaw’s biggest fan but is interrupted by Zincpaw who shyly tells him that she asked for him to join

their group picks through the usual spots with not much luck. while searching the city they pass the outskirts of the city were you can see out the empty field and rising river begin to overtake the grasslands.

Zincpaw begins to make commentary on Gloryclan and how neat their life is. Everytime she got to talk to Gloryclan cats like Jocundbounce and Pridebriar, names Deckerpaw recognizes as Agonypaws parents. Zinc goes on and on about all the unique things she found so interesting about Gloryclan.

Deckerpaw is quiet as he begins to think of Awepaw again, but then thinks of Tranquilstorm and her cold eyes

he awnser with a ‘yeah i guess there are some nice things in it… and i hope the storm ends soon.”

Zincpaw laughs at the awnser and says that Gloryclan lives in wetlands, a lil rain isn't going to hurt them. Deckerpaw thinks otherwise

upon arriving to the makeshift camp, Avenue is there raving about something to Expressohop and Rubbervine, clearly concerned. Deckerpaw gets closer and hears Avenue say that Yampaw and Rutagabapaw have gone missing. That they disappeared from the camp a while ago and that they only know that one of the warriors say they heard them talking about going down near the river before they disappeared

Its in an instant that Deckerpaw has taken off, followed by Cluesplash, Experessohop and Rubbervine who follow quick behind the dark tabby

It isnt long before they find Rutabagapaw, who unlike her usual peppy self is cowering under an overhanging rock from the rain and wind that has begun to pick up. they ask her were Yampaw has gone and she tells them shes at camp, that Rutabaga couldn't make it because the rain scared her too much.

Cluesplash comments that Yampaw was as skittish as it was that going that close to the water she might freeze up and be swept away. Expressohop and Rubbervine stay behind to comfort Rutabagapaw while Deckerpaw and Cluesplash run campwards

the two make it to camp not seeing Yampaw, they call out her name until she responds with an from the apprentices den. the two climb up the side of the rocky wall carefully making it to the hole in the wall that was the apprentices den. Yampaw is in there digging through the rocks and bedding frantically. the two tell her they have to leave NOW but she ignores them and keeps digging

Deckerpaw quietly walks over to her only the sound of the wind outside is heard. He ask her what she's looking for as her eyes light up as she finds what appears to be a small smooth black rock.

She curls it in close with her paw and says with a warmth to her voice ‘its Rutabagapaw’s lucky stone. She sleeps with it under her bedding for luck and she never lets anyone touch it. It’s very important to her and when she said she left it at camp and was worried the river might get high enough to sweep it out of the den she worried. They tried to make it to camp to get it but Rutabagapaw got too scared of the storm and Yampaw promised to keep going and get it for her. Rutabagapaw is important to her, and the things she loves and cherishes are important to her and the storm isnt scary enough to deter her’

Her words strike something in Deckerpaw's heart.

All of them make it back to camp and let Greasestar know everyone is ok. Greasesstar thinks and tells them that while what Rutabagapaw and Yampaw did was foolish, it was brave and noble they did this for each other. The same went for Deckerpaw. He tells them that he thinks that in this weather new warriors would be something hopefully for the clan to have

Yampaw is outwardly and loudly excited and congratulates Deckerpaw and thanks him.

Greasestar starts rounding up the cats from the other roofs to join for the ceremony at a large roofed area they could use a block over

Deckerpaw is excited but his heart is bothered as he begins to think more and more of Gloryclan

as the cats begin to gather and head to this covered area Deckerpaw sees two cats running toward them in the distance

its Awepaw and Humidpaw

Deckerpaw is happy to see, alive and well them but the fear in their eyes makes his blood run cold.

Honorclan cats around him freeze and stare. Halfway up the stairs to his warrior ceremony he is stopped by Awepaw

Awepaw tells him that Tranquilstorm took Agonypaw somewhere and they haven’t come back in a long time and she is worried and needs Deckerpaw with her. She needs his help

Deckerpaw looks back to the cats waiting for him for the ceremony and back to Awepaw

From her the events of the Turtled named Grendel occur, Decker, Aw and Humid all make it to Agonypaw in time to save her, giving Tranquilstorm just enough time to realize what she's doing is wrong and change her heart, taking the turtles killing bit instead and losing her tail while all the apprentices are saved when Eveningpaw rounds up Gloryclan.

Deckerpaw would return home and named a Warrior Deckerrush (name under consideration still not 100% sure,,)

Deckerpaw would later deal with his feelings for Awepaw pulling him toward her and being with her and his pull to stay in Honorclan, his home with his brother. i just imagine a short story about him dealing with his conflicting feelings, but ultimately following Awepaw to Gloryclan and living with her. the two would probably have hits and coincidently have them about the same time as Cluesplash and his mate.

HI SORRY I'M A LITTLE CONFUSED what exactly was tranquilstorm doing that got her clannates killed? why did she sacrifice herself for agonypaw if she was trying to get HER killed? what were her motives? i'd love to hear her story

yeah i porously kept her shit a lil vague from Agonypaws POV for a reason >:3

HALF because i wanted someone to ask me whats up! and half because thats kinda how it was written in the outlines i did. Every chapter was from either Agonypaw, Deckerpaw and or Eveningpaw's POV

Only one of the last Chapters was from Tranquilstorms POV and was meant to be a retelling of all the events from from POV

SO! time for miss Tranquilstorms side of the story

And her story starts a good bit before the start of Agonypaws arrival, back when she was an young warrior alongside her sister Daisynose. The two were warriors alongside Prismshine for a short while before he became leader.

The three of them were close friends, especially Daisynose and Prismstar. Daisynose got along with everyone and to Tranquilstorm, her sister was her whole world. She didn't get along with many others on her own and usually her sister was the one to make the push

A few moons into Prismstars rule he declared Daisynose as his second Deputy. Daisynose was honored and would work hard to live up the expectations Prismstar had for her. Tranquil and Daisy began to have less time together, but Tranquilstorm was proud watching her sister work so hard for a position she was so proud to be working, and by her best friends side. Daisynose told Tranquilstorm how much she wanted to live up to prismstar who everyone admired.

Then one day their camp was attacked with no warning, bye Loyalclan cats led by the current lead at the time Flaxstar along with a few cats from Loyalclan who believed in his flawed ideology.

During the fighting Flaxstar attempted to kill Prismstar only to be stopped by Daisynose to was killed in the crossfire. Tranquilstorm promptly returned the blow and took Flaxstars final life, and the the Loyalclan cats ran.

Mutestar was made the next leader of Loyalclan and she extended an apology to Gloryclan for what their late leader had done, and prismstar accept the apology without a second thought.

To many in the clan this was admirable and such a kind thing he was doing to the new leader, hoping for a better future.

But for Tranquilstorm, she saw it as him backstabbing her, and she wasnt afraid to tell him. After they returned home from meeting Loyalclan she spoke to him alone telling him they should seek out some for of vengeance for Daisynose who gave her life for not just the clan but Prismstar. Prismstar expressed that fighting Loyalclan wouldn't bring her sister back.

Tranquilstorm couldn't beleive how calm he was, how could he not want to do more? he didnt even move to avenger her during the fight, how could he belittle her death like this.

But nothing could be done, no one was on her side, everyone loved and agreed with Prismstar.

So Tranquilstorm, sat in the back and faded away. She would do her work but nothing more. without her sister what was the point.

Prismstar ended up dying saving his apprentice Bittertounge from Drowning the mud. And he was forever remembered as a hero, but to her he was the friend who betrayed her.

She barely remembered ther clanmates face and names with how little she interacted with them. It was almost like she was nothing more than a shadow.

Until a small gray kitten approached her. So cocky, waltzing up to her with a fat mouse in her mouth so big she had to side wobble her paws around it so she didnt trip. Promptly sat down next to Tranquilstorm like they were old friends and began to eat.

It caught her off guard and she finished eating letting the kit sit with her, but once she finished she walked off without a word. She wasnt gonna let some nose kit force herself into tranquilstorms life. Let along some grand kit of Prismstar.

But it kept happening, this little kit wouldn't leave her alone, following her everywhere like she was her own kit. Completely annoying.

Then the strangest thing happened, their leader Revelstar approached Tranquilstorm. Tranquilstorm could swear she's probably never spoken to Revelstar in the many moons she'd known her. Yet here she was asking Tranquilstorm to take a walk with her.

Revelstar expressed that she notice Agonypaw had taken a shine to Tranquilstorm, and she knows Tranquilstorm had never had an apprentice or seemed interested in clan life, but still felt she should ask if she would consider taking on Agonypaw as an apprentice, she really thinks they would be good for one another.

Tranquilstorm almost immediately says no, but then she starts to think. Maybe she could use this, maybe this was her in to finally have closer.

She never could hurt Prismstar, but maybe if she destroyed his kin, stopped his linage, upset his stupid spirit up in Starclan he would understand what she felt.

So she took on Agonypaw, She would begin to train the little runt and quickly learn how difficult it was. She watched the other mentors Bogshadow and Bittertounge train their apprentices with ease. While Tranquilstorm is struggling to even teach agonypaw where stuff is located, let alone hunting or fighting.

After awhile she begins to realize Agonypaw may be a bit more like her grandfather than she realize. Prismstar went blind as a warrior, said it ran in his family. From the looks of it Agonypaw was struggling to recognize locations or judge how far prey or enemies are. Often missing and losing her prey.

Tranquilstorm begins having to compensate for Agonypaws disabilities, she had to make it look like she was even trying to train her apprentice so she could keep her around long enough to execute her plan.

When Tranquilstorm wasnt training Agonypaw or at camp, she was sneaking off to the deep parts of the marsh where she knows she saw a large snapping turtle, most would just mistake it for a rock and never see it coming. Tranquilstorm knew the beast well and had begun to feed it, help it grow and trust her. Her ultimate plan was to feed her apprentice to the turtle so no one could trace it back to her.

She would get large fish that didnt swim the rivers (not that she was any good at fishing herself) from one of the ally cats that lived in Honorclan Territory. best treat food for a big hungry turtle. She even teasingly called the beast Grendel after the beast Glorystar was said to have fought many many moons back.

Tranquilstorm continues to train Agonypaw, and Agonypaw begins to open up about how she feels like a failure and that she'll never live up to her grandfathers name. Tranquilstorm can't help but think of her sister talking about how she wants to live up to prismstars expectations while she was deputy. But shakes off this memory.

However one day while out to feed her turtle, joined by Rooster who was helping bring in a bigger catch of fish from the markets. Bittertounge happened to catch them talking about Tranquilstorms plans.

Tranquilstorm got into a fight with bittertounge and ended up killing him for his silence. this hadnt been Tranquilstorms intention but she couldn't go back now. She had to complete her goal.

She left the body near the muddy grotto, but with her luck the body was found. The damn turtle will eat everything endlessly until she needs to get rid of a body.

after the mourning of Bittertounge she returns to training agonypaw, even once in awhile trying to lure her toward the grotto to finally finish her plans, but either they run into interruptions or most of the time she just, doesnt? sometimes agonypaw says something and she thinks about her sister again or she just feels bad for the apprentice. But sometimes she just looks at Agonypaw and doesn't even remember she's Prismstars family, she just see's Agonypaw.

But she can't back down now, she's come too far. Theres blood on her paws.

So when Tranquilstorm hears the other mentors mention assessments Tranquilstorm decided to throw Agonypaw into the ring. She wasnt read for it just the other day she failed to keep up with her cousins at every part of training. And when Awepaw forgave Agonypaw for hurting Humidpaw, It left a sour taste in Tranquilstorms throat. She knows she was projecting her feelings of Prismstar excusing all of the loycalclan cats but it was how she felt.

So she knew if she threw agonypaw into the ring to try her shot at becoming a warrior she would probably fail. Probably break her spirits a bit, and maybe.. just maybe thats just the kick she needed for her plan.

But just for assurance, she prompts Agonypaw to go crab hunting, something she had even gotten quite good at recently. But instead she left the torn up shells of the shellfish into snake holes, which inevitably led to Agonypaw getting bit right in the eye.

Agonypaw would lose the eye and Tranquilstorm didn't even feel good about it. She remembers how blood turning cold in her paws as she watched her apprentice poke at the snake hole. Why did she do that? what was the point? she just needed to kill her, not torture her?

NO! no no this had to happen, she needed this to happen. It was all coming together.

But... she looked so pathetic and sad alone in that nest whimpering. Tranquilstorm stayed by her apprentices side after she had to break the news that it be a little longer till she would be a warrior.

When Agonypaw begins to feel well enough to leave the medicine cat's den she's invited to the gathering. Tranquilstorm sits by her for awhile before dismissing herself to make dirt.

Secretly running off to meet Rooster to get the fish they agreed upon, as Tranquilstorm originally didnt plan to go to the gather but got roped into it she had already agreed to meet Rooster.

Rooster begins to tease her for and ask her how long she’s gonna be needing the scraps, as their not easy to get ahold of. ‘Plus ya said the kid would be gone ages ago’ tellng her

tranquilstorm refutes with ‘i already got her eye, and she trust me more than ever. The final blow will only be more sweet. Any day now she'll be able to execute the plan’

rooster tells tranquilstorm she’s too soft for this and that she clearly cares about agonypaw some, or at least feels guilty or else the apprentice woulda been out of the picture long ago and we would already be working on the other apprentices.

Their conversation is interrupted by the sound of hush whispers from up in the trees with movement, but before she can investigate a dog being walked comes along and scares them off.

Tranquilstorm quickly hids the fish before returning to the gather.

In the night after they return home she fetches the fish and feeds the turtle once again, and on the way home it begins to rain. Tranquilstorm begins to question her plan, insisting she needs to delay it more to make sure it works.

Then she notices the moat around the camp draining water away and begins to thing as she looks over the side into the camp

the apprentices den was right under her... if she simple tampered with it the mud and water would go right down into the den. Maybe Agonypaw would be in there and buried under the mud. They've never be able to trace it to her. Sure she could do that.

Once the barrier is destroyed she also thinks.. but maybe she'll live. she's a smart girl.. maybe this will put a fire under her...

but before she can think more the mud comes flowing and she escapes the scene.

Things play out with the mudslide into the camp flowing into the apprentice den and nursery. To benevolantlight's death.

Tranquilstorm feels terrible guilt, she'd hadnt meant for the warrior to get caught in the slide. NO! what was she saying this was perfect, benevolantlight was Prismstars daughter! that was even better than Agonypaw's death!

so why couldn't she stop feeling bad?

everything moves on, then Humidfur and Aweshine are made warriors. And she watches Agonypaw run off during the ceremony hardly able to stay to the end.

She goes to listen to Agonypaw, and of all the places she was, the spot they found Bittertounges body, right next to the grove where her trap layed. She could do it, right here.

But instead Agonypaw starts to pour her heart out to her mentor

How she’s so sorry that tranquilstorm has to be her mentor, how she feels like his disappointed everyone even her who never saw her as just prismstars decendent. How even though tranquilstorm recommended her as a warrior that she got her test early she failed so bad she was pushed back from being a warrior for longer than she would have been originally.

Tranquilstorms heart breaks listening to her she knew all these things but in the face of it, she could really see agonypaw's fears. With her own cousins doing so much better than her and even one of them being named after prismstar. She was at her lowest and this was the perfect time to execute her plan.

Convince her of a monster out in the marsh, give her a quest she couldnt turn away from to prove herself some epic warrior worthy of her family name, surely to only become food for the turtle with a huge apatite.

But she holds back her words of this made up stories, but insteed tells agonypaw the day agonypaw was made her apprentice her life changed. She had a new goal in life. Agonypaw being her apprentice has been the best moons of her life. And that she knows she will one day make a great warrior weather or not she is prismstars blood.

the two walk home when Tranquilstorm spots Rooster sitting on the banks of their river feasting on a fish. her blood runs cold as she cashes the alley cat away, with the smallest look to each other as tranquilstorm looks at him in horror that he would show up in broad daylight to agonypaw, and Rooster looking to her knowing she was protecting Agonypaw.

agonypaw questions if that was one of the rouges thats been coming into their territory and hurt their clanmates

Tranquilstorm knows its not true, because she's the monster.

She stops and looks to agonypaw and begins to feed her a story of a monster in the woods. Telling her not to tell anyone or she would put them in danger. More like she'd get Tranquilstorm in trouble.

Then watched Agonypaw pad away, mind full of foolish thoughts that a cat with a dream to be a hero would have.

A stone caught in her throat Tranquilstorm cant look at her apprentice for the rest of the evening.

That next early morning she is awake, hardly able to sleep. She lays in the warriors den, watching the rain come down. She watches agonypaw get up and leave out the apprentice den.

behind tranquilstorm she hears and peeks to see aweshine roll over and peek an eye open at tranquilstorm. Aweshine and humidfur had come in the warrior den a short while ago

Tranquilstorm gets up to follow her apprentice out into the marshes. Mind racing with memories of her time spent the last moons with her apprentice.

From finally getting an apprentice that would allow her to get her old grudge settled. To silencing Bittertounge. To the accidental Death of Benevolancelight. To the moments of vulnerability her apprentice showed her, she trust she was given.

tranquilstorm finds agonypaw and follows from a distance, watching her work to find a scent and hid from patrols. Tranquilstorm can't help but feel a bit of pride watching her use all the skills she' learned. Before she thinks of Rooster's words and calling her soft.

Its true she put off the plan longer than she originally thought but it was just to make what was to come to much sweeter... right?

tranquilstorm tells herself these excuses and for a moment thinks of her sister daisytoe. She shakes off the thought. That didn't matter her sister's righteousness can flood her brain all she wants but this was tranquilstorms decision.

Its then that from the fog Agonypaw's name is called. aweshine and humidfur wander into the clearing where agonypaw was mer moments ago, before running off to a hiding place.

The two stand just under the perched Tranquilstorm the speak worried of agonypaw and begin to talk that they hope tranquilstorm hasn’t gotten her yet. If everything Eveningpaw told them was true then Agonypaw was in danger.

the older warrior watches shocked at the siblings, understanding they knew parts of her plan. She would just have to feed them to the turtle too, she could that no problem.

tranquilstorm watches the two siblings talk and suddenly thinks of herself and her own sister when they were apprentices. She shakes away the thoughts, now was not the time to reminisces. She was letting her emotions get mixed up.

Humidfur and Aweshine mention getting deckerpaws help and hurry off.

Tranquilstorm again thinks.. Would Daisy even look at her like a sister after this? Tranquilstorm tries to brush off the doubt. It was too late now and things were moving foward. Daisynose was dead and tranquilstorm was going to do things her way

She watches agonypaw begins to leap from rock to rock making her way out into the deep marsh. With any chance she might fall into the mud and sink like prismstar did.

tranquilstorm takes a route of rotting logs and thin trees to leap and climb to and from just barely able to see agonypaw in the distance.

tranquilstorm manages to make it to the destination. On a branch just in view of the large rock that agonypaw now was attempting to swim to. the end was soon. Tranquilstorm new soon it was over, it could be over and she could move on from this.

agonypaw slows and slows. She isnt going to make it to the rock

tranquilstorms watches agonypaw sink and struggle, tranquilstorm vision flickers and she is seeing prismstar all those moons ago struggling in the mud. Her breath quicks as her chest tightens.

her vision changes from prismstar and to daisynose, tranquilstorms heart aches at the thought and delusion of her sister struggling.

then it changes again, its agonypaw. Shes just watching agonypaw who can barely get a paw above the mud anymore. tranquilstorm feels her blood roar in her ears and feels her paw pads feel like static as they twitch ready to move, to jump in after her.

tranquilstorm is surprised when instead she sees three bodies leap out to agonypaw

humidfur, aweshine and another apprentice, deckerpaw, are dragging agonypaw to the rock all together

tranquilstorm feels herself wanting to yell out and tell them to move but she chokes, for the rock is not a rock but the beast itself. A false safe harbor.

what is she doing, shes so close she can’t back out now. And now she has all three of prismstars young kin. She should be happy she has worked hard for this moment of revenge.

she looks at agonypaw, this young cat who has trusted her, and loved her. Tranquilstorm has felt so alone since her sister died, she has isolated herself. What a fool she was to just now realize agonypaw was her friend. And she almost hurt her only friend.

Almost.

The rock begins to shake and move and revels the reptile beneath the mud.

humidfur and deckerpaw manage to stay on the turtle's back but aweshine slides off its side and agonypaw unlucky slides right in front of it.

tranquilstorm measures up that as big as this beast she raised was agonypaws head could get snapped off in a heartbeat in the reptiles large jaws

tranquilstorm watches on, scared witless not knowing what to do as she can no longer go through with her plan. She can't if she let Agonypaw die it would be like watching Daisynose die all over again. She wouldnt let that happen

What should she do what should she-

Her thoughts stop as Agonypaw looks up into the trees and blue eyes met her, full of confusion as she searched Tranquilstorms face

and Tranquilstorm look at her, She saw Agonypaw. Not Prismstars kin, not her Daisynose replacement, but Agonypaw.

the two look at each other cold and silent for a long second.

its now or never

tranquilstorm pushes of her hindlegs from the branch. She hears the fall of rain as she makes the long gap from her branch into the mud were agonypaw was, shielding her from the snapping turtle as it lunges its head forward and chomps down on tranquilstorms tail.

tranquilstorm body fills with pain, her tail feels on fire as she hears loud crunches of her bones as she instinctively presses all of her claws into the face of the monster.

Tranquilstorm manages to choke through the pain to tell Agonypaw she was sorry. If she died her she needed her apprentice know she felt nothing but regret.

agonypaw looks up at tranquilstorm who tries to hold herself still and shaky. Her apprentice searches her eyes. the other three apprentices begin to try to open the turtles powerful jaws with no dice

ts then that tranquilstorms blotted vision notices a group of cats coming up. revelstar, mutestar bogshadow, jocundbounce,algeasnout, sorrowcloud, brashtounge and moldpelt all led be eveningpaw of loyalclan.

the group helps the apprentices with the turtle. Managing to get it to open its mouth and let go of tranquilstorm. the group hurries away from the turtle and helps the tired apprentices and tranquilstorm back to camp.

tranquilstorm through her ringin ears listens to the loud chatter of many cats

eveningpaw rattles on with how worried she was for her friends

deckerpaw continuously asking is aweshine was ok

and algeasnout was already doing what she could for tranquilstorms tail as tranquilstorm was carried loosly on the large back of revelstar

tranquilstorms closes her eye and zeros in on listening for agonypaw only to find she isnt talking.

tranquilstorm tells agonypaw she’s sorry again before resting her eyes the world quiets as the rain finally stops

Agonypaw would finish training under Revelstar and get her Warrior name Agonyheart.

Agonyheart would attempt to talk to Tranquilstorm once in awhile but she could never look her in the eyes.

She would probably eventually leave the clans. Maybe to join the ally cats or just wander off into the woods far far away from the clans, never to bother Agonypaw again

Rotpaw and Houndpaw!

hell yeah these two

their a bit secondary to the main plot but their there!

they were nursery mates with Eveningpaw, their parents are Brashtounge and Honeymoon.

Rotpaw was named after their mother commented that they were a wrinkly little baby and looked like a rotten log. But then their tail got infected and fell off and she felt so so so guilty about it like the name accidently put a curse on them. He spent a lot of time as a kit in the medicine cat's den and Houdpaw stayed at their side until they were healthy enough to leave.

Houndpaw is a lil shy, and take some time to warm up to others but when he is he's a very kinda soul and wants to do what he can to help others, he just wants to be a good person. Houndpaw is known for being able to mimic dogs and throw his voice to trick prey.

the two of them got along great with Eveningpaw growing up.

Rotpaw began to be friends with Humidpaw from Gloryclan when they met at gatherings.

For awhile Eveningpaw got absorbed in her training and was basically always by Mutestar's side and barely spent time with the other apprentices.

Houndpaw admire Eveningpaw's dedication from after and still conidered her a good friend

During one of the Gatherings eveningpaw was left alone due to tensions rising in the clans and everyone trying to get straight to business and get out of there. Houndpaw sat with the lonely Eveningpaw to her surprise. He ask her how her training doing and how she seemed to being growing a lot, but a little stressed.

Eveningpaw brushes it off and claims that apprentice duties have just been very difficult recently is all.

Later Evening and Houndpaw sneak off together when they notice Tranquilstorm had seemed to sneak off and wander into Honorclan territory.

They would then overhear her talking to Rooster about offing Agonypaw.

When Eveningpaw up in the trees hiding out of site of Tranquil and Rooster begins to make noises, and Tranquil begins to try and find the source of the noise, Houndpaw lets out a bark from his own hiding spot to scare off the large cats.

eveningpaw ask how the tom is ok and if he saw the dog go by. he bashfully smiles before giving out a bark like noise

she remarks how incredible that is and how he did that! again shy, houndpaw fluster shrugs and just says he just happens to be good at it. Its hardly ever helpful however so he just keeps it to himself. But kinda laughs and says ‘why do you think my mother named me that, said i yipped up a storm in the nursery.

Then remembering what they overheard they hurry back to the gather not sure how they were going to tell anyone about this...

After this their debating how to go about telling anyone what they say, Houndpaw comforting her to let her know he's there to back her up if she does decided to tell someone. however houndpaw tells her that he knows when she’s feeling down, she never as chatty when she’s upset. And knows its about tranquilstorm and agonypaw, but reminds her that there isnt anything they can do,the river is too high to cross and the weather as bad as it is will swoop her up in its winds in a heartbeat.

Waiting for the storm to die down hound and evening minds are in a flurry about what to do, but the two go out hunting to try and clear their minds.

houndpaw spots a peasant who seems to be scratchin for food. The two see the older warriors havent yet noticed it. Houndpaw whispers to eveningpaw. He stalks off to one side of the bird while evening goes to the other side

houndpaw lets out one of his barks sending the pheasant flying. eveningpaw keeps her eye on the bird taking off into the trees like a bolt of lightning. Eveningpaw has adapted and gotten used to the wet swaying branches, working with them as she intercepts the bird flawlessly

they begin walking them home saying their due for warrior ceremonies any day now, maybe once the weather clears mutestar will put thought into giving them assesments

houndpaw nudges eveningpaw excitedly before getting quiet. He softly compliments her catch. The two fall back from the others. Eveningpaw thinks of what they said and quietly say ‘the storm wont stop, its just going to get worse and worse’

houndpaw is quiet for a moment before telling her that he thinks she’s incredible and that he know that she is capable of great things. Just that catch alone proves it. he’s quiet one more moment before he tells her to ‘stop the storm’ eveningpaw is confused for a mere moment before nodding and running past their senior warriors on the hunt with them. eveningpaw runs full sprint to the river. She launches into a tree feeling its sway on her paws. She climbs higher and as far as she could get on these tree branches before she’s forced to leap off the branch and over the river into Gloryclan.

Houndpaw watches on in amazement before explaining to the warriors what he and eveningpaw have learned about Tranquilstorm and must stop.

After the events with Tranquilstorm, Eveningpaw is named Eveningvolley, while Houndpaw and Rotpaw are Houndbellow and Rotroot.

Houndbellow and Eveningvolley would later become mates

stories, they absorb stories and the way their told. the emotions others have when they speak. when people tell stories agonypaw really connects and understands them

agonypaw treasures approval, the small compliments tranquilstorm gives HER about her training. when her mother talks about how much she loves her coat and how she looks like herself, or when her father lovely talks about her lil quirks. things that remind her that she is herself and not a reflection of all these other things she constantly weights herself down with

they notices spiders, rats and other lil creatures that go usually unnoticed or unappreciated. they love just watching them exist and live their life and stuff.  he loves the lil stuff like that. just things existing in their own bliss
