Design for nightbird of the six clan transmetal nightbird

After stealing the transmetal driver for the sixclan under the belief it was the allspark, nightbird was accepted into their ranks and made the first test subject for the artifact she'd stolen, granting her life. But is this the life she really wanted?

Having learned all she could from Sixshot, nightbird thought the possition among the six clan would be able to fill that hole inside her that she'd had all her life, a hole that only grew bigger with the loss of people she grew close to. Abandoning her vehicons to fend for themselves she thought her new life would be completely detached from her old existence, too painful to bear, even if the spark granted by the transmetal driver erased her identity like what happened to roulette and silhouette she would welcome it. But the spark that now pulses inside her doesn't feel any different than her engine did when she was just a car.

This horrible feeling, the realization that personhood was just the opinion of other people about you, and that chasing to meet their standards only destroyed your own way of life, broke her. She had discarded everything about herself wanting to be seen as a person and now she couldn't even define what that word ment. Her only remaining relation to anybody was with sixshot and they were only every master and student. Not there to be a shoulder to cry on in her time of need.

But for better or worse, she has committed to this six clan thing. It's not like she had a choice at this point, another thing she expected a spark to free her from. She hoped at least to form new connections within the six clan, but the six clan were not family, not friends. Only people tarantulas handed free reign to do whatever they wanted, free of accountability as long as it didn't conflict with what he wanted.

And the worst part.. her old choices still came back to haunt her. The vehicons wanted her head. And quickswitch returned, begging her and his father to leave the six clan behind, and it's not like she didn't want to. But what choice did she have at this point?

wada sez: I think First Aid has been given a Constructicon color scheme here, because the Shattered Glass Constructicons share a white/red medical color scheme? The color schemes for Quickswitch and Sixshot appear to have been created by simply inverting their usual color schemes. Possibly entirely coincidentally, almost ten years later, John-Paul Bove would take exactly the same approach with Sixshot for the official IDW Shattered Glass comic series, arriving at an identical color scheme. I suppose it’s possible Bove just Googled “Shattered Glass Sixshot”, but it seems unlikely he’d lie about doing so! See below for the clean inks and colors for this strip, along with a Japanese translation by Barricade 643!

its funny to imagine the crew come together and build a baby, but whats funnier is the implication that this would be the second time megatron has witnessed the birth of a super warrior (overlord) but also the second time Prowls influence led to his ex building a super soldier (tarantulas saying without prowl ostaros would have never existed/ chromdome performing mnemosurgery on overlord bc of prowl)

So in relation to a previous post about the Primes, a perfectly timed leak reveals the next Generations toy line will be 13 Prime themed! …Again. Because Power of the Primes did so fan-slagging-tastic the first go around. -vividly recalls all the Prime Master toys stacked in clearance bins-

Still, unlike PotP, this at least suggests we’re getting actual toys of the 13 that aren’t hastily disguised Pretenders.

The leaks so far, Prime wise, include:

Solus Prime

Alchemist Prime

Micronus Prime

Prima

Alpha Trion

Megatronus Prime (The Fallen)

Oynx Prime

As mentioned previously, the initial Aligned designs were overly complex, making them difficult to translate without redesigning them. Thus far, attempts have been made with simplifying them, with Micronus, Alchemist, and Quintus in particular.

With IDW at the time using the RiD15 and Cyberverse designs of Micronus and Alchemist, implying these are probably their designs going forward.

The others meanwhile don’t yet have “modern designs” with Alpha Trion typically being his G1 design run though stylization depending on the cartoon.

Megatronus in particular will be interesting to see because he’s gone through multiple incarnations.

Though his Mazinger Z inspired G1 form from PotP seems to be his current interpretation Hasbro’s used the most outside of his far more famous Bayformers design.

It pretty much leaves what Solus, Prima and Oynx will be like. Presumably Solus will be her POTP cartoon design, but capable of Transforming.

Into what I have no idea. A construction vehicle, maybe?

Oynx Prime is pry the most peculiar. The first Beast Mode Transformer, his robot (beast?) mode suggests he’s a dragon centaur, but what he actually turns into besides that is unknown.

“A Transformer who changes from beast t’ beast. Hoo boy, now I’ve seen everything…”

His most well known role was in IDW, with it being revealed he was actually Shockwave as part of a time travel paradox that informed that universe’s lore.

Presumably his toy would reference Shockwave on some level but that remains to be seen.

Prima is also weird. He’s depicted as a knight nowadays, which if Hasbro wanted to be lazy, they could just retool Bay Optimus’ knight form.

But he also has G1/2 designs to skew close to the G1-ish designs Alchemist and the others currently have to match Legacy.

So it’ll be very interesting to see what the modern Prime designs will become in this toy line, with Nexus Prime and Amalgamous who I’m most interested in seeing.

Personally my suggestion for Amalgamous would be to make him a Six Changer like Quickswitch.

But we shall see in time!

"Face" of the six clan, his twisted sense of honor tells him that he should look his targets in the eye before taking them out which led him to become more well known than his fellow six clan ninjas even if their job is to manipulate earth in secret

Sixshot is the most feared of the six clan ninjas, a group of transformers determined to keep humanity and machine separated, with his five alternate modes he's a one bot army and expresses various supernatural powers as a trait of the evolutionary mode switching shared by the six clan. Sixshot has the ability to allow energy to phase through his body without harm, as well as absorb various forms of energy and channel it into invisibility, illusion casting, and a corruptive touch which he can embue into his munitions that puts anything they hit under the control of the six clan's mysterious master while slowly reducing its victims to dust

But he is not just a heartless weapon, he's also a father. An unsavory man, he has been known to hang out in unsavory places and that eventually resulted in his son quickswitch, who he hopes to train into another deadly six clan ninja just like him. But weather its from pitty or opportunism he has taken on another deciple, after the cyberninjas rejected nightbird, sixshot took her under his wing, where she got along well with his son, each the other's first love, but as their training around the world continued, nightbird inadvertently exposed quickswitch to the true nature of things which led him to betray his father, while nightbird, still yearning for what he can teach her, has remained loyal, now he wants to hunt down his turncoat son before he can reveal the secrets of the six clan to the autobots

The truth being that the six clan doesn't just kill transformers who interact with humanity, they sell their resources. Energon among them to select unscrupulous human groups in exchange for their support to their mascarade, the capitalistic companies of the world, from food and drink to tech firms, put into those positions of power, supplied by cybertronian technology, with even something as harmless as a shower curtain manufacturer holding in their hands the power to take over the world if unchallenged, and if even one of them found out about it and acted on it, it would spell disaster not just for the six clan but for the entire earth itself
