I was feeling pretty today!

New glasses, no makeup besides mascara and super tired… 3 days left to the jazz fest!

Some days I feel good about myself even without a full face of makeup.

Bunch of hotel bed selfies, just because I felt cute for 5 minutes. We tend to only show the good in our lives when we post stuff to social media because we don’t want to show that we also have bad times like everyone else. Don’t be ashamed of your feelings. Don’t be ashamed of your emotions. We are all humans. Fight dysphoria with all you got! I’ve been having bad days lately and my only weapon is my makeup kit. Nobody around me to talk to and who would understand. At least I got my brushes 😉 I know later on I’ll go to work and I will stop thinking about it and start feeling better. That’s why I tell everybody: be more than your transition.
You are more than your transition! 
I know how it feels, and it’s very easy to get overwhelmed and lose sight of the rest of your life. I love my job. I’m good at it. Every time I’m at work, I feel good about myself because I do what I like. It it has NOTHING to do with my transition. And that makes me known as a sound engineer. Not only as « the trans girl ».
Be more than your transition. Because you had interests before. Because you had dreams before.
Because you are still that person you were before. Only a lot happier and free!
But more importantly, be more than your transition, because when dysphoria kicks in, it’s not your whole universe that crumbles before you. You can be more! That’s why I post about my work. I see too many trans people living hell or having very low self-esteem. I want to show them that you can be more, you can take pride in more than your image and get valued for more than just your transition. Yes I am transgender. But that’s not who I am. It’s simply one detail about me. I am a sound engineer. I am a traveler. I am an amateur makeup artist. I am a blogger about trans issues… if I wakeup one day and my image in the mirror is freaking me out… i can still go to work and be a good sound engineer and feel good about it. I can still do my makeup, have fun with it and make it a bit better. I am more than just my transition.
