I first stumbled on one of Twoset's Video on Facebook and as a non-musician my very first impression was they're hilarious and funny.

But the more I explore YouTube, the more I admire them and as i state above, I found them so cute and admirable.

They are passionate in what they do. They have a big dream of bringing classical music to more people, let musician have more voice and the best part is they actually do it, step by step..

They dedicate to practicing. As shown not only in their Motto (Go practice/Practice 40 hours/... ), their game while they're trying to do the very best and flushing/shrieking at the minor mistake (Sightreading challenge, Ling Ling work out, Music form/concept Charades,...). I'm a non-musician but I also passionate at my works, that sincere feelings is there.

They're always humble, opened mind (Do all musician think the same/Try to play the Cello/Double Bass,...). Even with the roasting video, they're willing to share and educate the non-musician. (Explaining the Concept of Musicality, ...)

They also genuinely care about us Twosetter (every Lingling40hrs review, always thanks us, remind us of practicing and also care for your health, appreciated the efforts even with the one they do not understand the or it give them anxiety, and they do think thoroughly to understand each one,...)

Okay so ORIGINALLY back in Legion I figured “sure why not let’s make some of these questlines actually canon for my ocs for once” and I let Neo’la have Xal’atath which was awesome, and then we “Retire” them and I thought ok that’s Less Awesome but i’m going to go ahead and keep saying she kept it and it’s still fully functional.

and then xal’atath became way too lore important in bfa and was the only one of the artifactstoevendothatsolikeit’snotevenmineanymoreican’thaveititfeelsweird HAHRHGHM anyways

Neo’la having a very powerful Void / Old Godlike weapon was still very integral to her development and I wanted to keep that, but also avoid the annoying clash of Xal’atath being RIPPED out of my hands while i was still using it. SO, NEW WEAPONS THAT SERVE A SIMILAR BUT COOLER PURPOSE:

Shuulyar. (rough Shath’Yar translattion: ”Shuul” = “death” ; “yar” = “God”. Effectively means “Dead God”)

Also known as: Echo.

Shuulyar has a special property similar to Shalamayne, in which it can be split into two daggers like shown above, one with a ‘curse of flesh’ type of nasty aesthetic and the other with a shattered, more metallic type of aesthetic. When fused together, it becomes a Scythe, which is normally how Neo’la will carry this weapon. Only in very intense, close combat will she split them to daggers. The fun part, though, of this being an eldritch weapon, is they can even be shortswords as well if needed. I’ll draw the main scythe later, just.. refer to this ugly outdated art of scythe!xal’atath as a temporary reference for it for now

Anyways. Shuulyar originates to the Black Empire, and is the shard/remnant of an Old God. Its origins, much like Xal’atath, are unknown for the most part. While the rest of the Conclave in Legion sought out Xal’atath, Neo’la felt a different calling, and decided to investigate this pull to this weapon instead, ending up deep in Northrend, and discovering Shuulyar in Icecrown. Close contact nearly drove her mad, but Neo’la held her ground and forced the blade to her will, breaking it and twisting its power to her own use, effectively rendering its power under her submission. The blade eventually settled after some time of her wielding it, and speaks to her often, seeing its master as a useful ally, but also secretly hopes to one day corrupt her and gain power.

In the meantime, the blade has a dangerous affection for its master, and is allowed a “physical” form outside of the weapon, manifesting as shadowy familiars that follow her, and allow Neo’la an extra pair of eyes to travel abroad. Shuulyar will often take the form of an entity resembling a barn owl, and takes the name “Echo” as her familiar, serving as both a companion and mount. Echo has a mind of its own and can function independently, and so long as Neo’la is in control, it does not pose a threat to those around, unless intentionally.

Echo also aids Neo’la’s work in progress Void Form, as the two of them can merge for M A X I M U M P O W E R
