Wondering What Does Car Maintenance Include?
Are you overwhelmed with all the vehicle maintenance that wants to be kept up on your vehicle? Are you wondering what does car maintenance include? Be sure to find a trustworthy mechanic that you can trust to help you keep track of the work performed and what should happen next. Being a responsible vehicle owner means sticking to a maintenance schedule.
Many drivers add at least 10K to 12K miles to their car in the course of a year, wearing down the parts and systems. Once this starts to happen, it even more important to take care of vehicle maintenance. Some car owners think that as long as their car gets them from point A to point B, everything is fine. But, car manufacturers don’t endorse certain service intervals for nothing. The better care you give your car, the longer it’ll last and the less trouble it'll give you.
Take a look at 12 maintenance tips that will keep your car running strong:
An oil and oil filter service should be done about every 3,000 to 7,000 miles or every three to five months.
Tune-ups are essential to ensure your spark plugs, filters, and hoses are clean, intact and doing their job.
An air filter replacement is recommended every 15,000 to 20,000 miles.
Get the timing belt changed every four or five years.
Add a fuel system additive or cleaner every 3,000 to 7,000 miles to the fuel tank to improve your engine’s performance.
