helaena was still fairly new to the city, as well as to this new world she found herself in. near everything was different to what she knew and even then, the things she had been allowed to do at home, were not common entertainment at home. then there was the added fact that due to her title of princess, she had always had servants to do most common tasks, which she now needed to learn. she had thus decided to further explore and hopefully learn something new. standing before a store displaying several flatscreens in their windows, she studied the difference in them all and frowned a bit in confusion at what some displayed. the flatscreen itself wasn't new to her, she had spend much time with rhaenyra's smallest children whilst they watched, the differences and what they showed however were. — given her company, what she mostly saw was meant for kids. what she was currently seeing, was both confusing and strange. or at least to her it was. a frown of confusion formed on her lips as a particular commercial played. "what's does air pods do?..." she mumbled confused, not remembering hearing or seeing those before.

Conrad had been hunched over one of his meds school text books at the coffee shop. He hoped he didn't reek to much of sea having just finished his job fixing boats on the pier. The barista had dropped something and he couldn't help smiling at the way she seemed to insist she could handle it with good humor. He admired her fire. kindness wrapped in stoicism hidden by the souls that had been hardened by the world. Beautiful blonde hair that reminded him of his mother. She was the kind of beauty that made you linger. He could see some of himself in this girl. And his eyes flicked on a bracelet. Interest and longing for home dancing in his blues. he would be more reserved. Yet, he didn't have anyone around here that he knew. Didn't have a way to get home. "Are you from North Carolina? I haven't seen that style of bracelet anywhere than the outer banks. I mean sure you could have visited or something- but i just miss home. that is if you are planning on talking to me after all, stoic."
