godric gryffindor & andromeda tonks ;; @dromeda-tonks
❝ Is there anything you wouldn’t do? ❞
ric was fascinated, not only by the new world around him but by the people here as well. it all seemed like he was very well far away from london and hogwarts. so naturally he was curious what the people here were like. “is there anything you wouldn’t do?” ric asked the stranger. it was a completely random question but one he pondered to the other.

@dromeda-tonks cont. from here because beta editor
"It's not like I lived with the muggles but I could never hate them, they're still people, I don't understand why some people don't like them, they just don't have powers" Toria said with a shrug. "I'm also from Slytherin" she replied. "And thank you, I do appreciate it" she said with a smile.

Seeing as all this excellent ink is being spilled on the concept of Snape and Tonks bonding through grief (and queerness), how about Snape and Tonks the elder, Andromeda? It must be lonely sometimes for Andromeda after the estrangement from her family, however necessary the break was and however impossible a reconciliation would be, with nobody in her new life who she can plausibly befriend having any understanding of her sisters beyond them being evil and hot. But Snape is fond of Narcissa and gets Bellatrix. Added bonus of Snape despising Dromeda’s son in law and rightly believing her daughter could do much much better!
thank you very much for the ask, anon!
and this is a pairing which has occurred to me too... so much so, that there's a little something in the wips folder on this very topic...
as i've said as part of the stonks manifesto, the interesting thing in fics in which snape survives is how authors approach the fact that he has been following a script which has now ended, and how he deals with - for the first time in his life - having no master and having the freedom to live on his own terms.
and i think it’s particularly interesting to mash this into andromeda’s own finished script - the fact that her war has ended so devastatingly, with her husband, daughter, and son-in-law all dead; that she has gone from being a grandmother to teddy’s primary caregiver [and the resentments that brings up - i’m wedded to the idea that she isn’t thrilled that harry is teddy’s godfather]; and, most thorny of all, that her sister is dead and there is now absolutely no chance of bellatrix seeing the error of her ways and trying to make amends [which, while i loathe the common trope that andromeda and her sisters would reconcile easily, is something i believe it’s entirely reasonable for her to have hoped could be possible.]
snape’s post-war relationship with the malfoys - presumably absolutely torpedoed by the reveal that he was a spy - also has parallels with andromeda’s post-war reckoning with narcissa.
would you like a snippet?
[from the very end, because i always write the endings of things first.]
Tumblr media
And she looks up at the house, and - although it’s narrow - it’s straight and tall, and it stretches up to a clear sky. And she thinks about Ted, about what Ted used to say about things having good bones, and she knows that he’d chide her for defaulting so quickly to chucking the whole thing in the dustbin. A bit of repointing for the mortar, Dromeda, he’d say, and a new coat of paint, and this’ll be a cracker.
And she can picture the cant of his sandy head, and his wry smile, and his wink, as Snape shuffles down from the kitchen, holding a cup of tea out to her in a thin, cautious hand. The mug is chipped - a big chip right out of the rim, right over the place you’d put your mouth to take a sip - but the tea is perfect, like Snape has watched her carefully over the course of endless cups she’s made them both in her grief-filled living room in order to learn how she takes it. Good bones there, too, Dromeda.
Good bones. Good, marrow-filled bones holding him up, despite all the scar tissue. A thing worth restoring, worth maintaining.
She looks out across the little yard, with its high walls and the gate hanging on by its hinges. Someone has started to hammer through the concrete - Snape couldn’t have done it himself, surely? Snape has asked someone into his space, into his weakness, to do it - and to lay topsoil. She sips her tea and she breathes in and she can smell it, how it smells of earth, and she remembers what Snape told her about fertilisers, about how even the ground benefits from good bones.
He stands beside her, drinking his tea in solemn silence. He doesn’t have his stick - he couldn’t carry two mugs with it - and she can see the pain starting to stiffen him, the blood starting to drain from his face.
She conjures him a chair, settles him in it, and, for once, he doesn't complain. She lays a hand upon his shoulder which he doesn’t shrug off, feels him take it in his own, feels the touch of his lips against her fingers. The kiss is feather-light, but the bump of his nose against the back of her hand is emphatic. And that’s Snape, isn’t it? For all his subtlety, he’s an immovable object.
He’s got a nice nose, she thinks. She likes it, even though this would sound absurd to the person she was twelve months ago. It’s got good… well, cartilage, she supposes.
And perhaps it’s all futile. Perhaps Snape is past repair. Perhaps, if she stays, they will destroy each other, wearing each other thin with constant relitigation of the past, never letting the ghosts in the walls drift away.
Perhaps.
But she can picture Snape sitting in this chair again - the sunshine on his face, warming his paleness away and making the silver threading his temples glitter - chatting to her in a voice which has grown stronger while she potters around the garden.
While things grow.

honestly, your analysis and headcanons on the Blacks are always very interesting. If you don't mind, can I ask you for your opinion and headcanons about Andromeda?
Hi! I don't mind at all, thank you for the question (and the compliment!) ❤️
Andromeda is one of those characters I mostly have soft headcanons about, meaning that I can comfortably and happily read many different versions of her. Let's say that I dislike the soft little girl ones, the poor, poor Andy abused by her mean parents the most.
My favourite Andromeda is a steely sort. Oh, she's kind, soft, gentle (more than her sisters), but only to her own. Heart-of-gold, would-mother-the-whole-world-if-she-could, à la Molly, is not my cup of tea.
So, I can speak about how I personally write her but unlike many other characters, this is not a very fixed idea in my head.
Beautiful, but not as beautiful as Bellatrix, who she resembles quite a bit. Definitely less charismatic, less striking. This breeds insecurity, especially in a young teenage girl. She's the Regulus to Bellatrix's Sirius.
Also not as brilliant as Bellatrix, in school. Again: this breeds insecurity.
I think Cygnus and Druella loved their daughters, but since all three of them were quite remarkable young ladies, Andromeda still suffers from Middle Child Syndrome - she's the forgotten one: Bella was exceptional (she was after all noticed by LV himself, and was one of the most powerful fighters in the second war) and Cissy was the baby, so unintentionally it was sorta-maybe-true.
Consequently: a bit of a social butterfly. Much warmer than both her sisters, more beloved in school. Had good relationships with the other Prefects (of course she was a Prefect; all the sisters were) from other houses.
That's how she became close with Hufflepuff Prefect Ted Tonks.
Also also also can I just say they don't have curly hair like Bella has in the movies? Dromeda's is a lighter shade, but still somewhere in between straight and wavy.
Out of the three of them, she had the best people skills, the best soft skills, she might have been the best at manipulation. For years after she left, and when she was tasked with making meaningful connections with other Death Eaters' wives, Narcissa would lament not having the same soft skills as Andromeda.
Unlike Sirius and Bella who have, as I've mentioned in the past, a very black-and-white morality, Andromeda sees the world in shades of grey. She's more flexible. A pragmatist, unlike her idealist sister and cousin. For this reason:
I don't think Andromeda ever let go of all of her biases. Not enough fanfictions explore what it means to unlearn all the notions that your blood-supremacist upbringing may have ingrained in you. Sirius is the one in the family who hates Dark Magic, who befriends the broken, the beaten and the damned. He is the one that would fight for social equality.
I don't think Andromeda cared much for Muggleborns at all. I think she cared for Ted. I am convinced that before she left, she and Bella had some kind of showdown and she basically said something along the lines of: look. I don't think that Muggles and Mudbloods are equal to us, and I don't think that they deserve to be equal to us in society, but I am asking you, as my sister, to make an exception for Ted and me.
Ted - smart, funny, future Healer Ted Tonks, who worshipped the ground she walked on - was her exception (like Remus was Sirius', like Lily was Snape's).
Ted who showed her unconditional love and support, who was the only thing her family wouldn't approve of- her only, only act of rebellion after years of being the perfect daughter, the forgotten child. But they gave her an ultimatum and she chose him.
Oh, it broke Bella and Cissy when Andromeda left. But as I say here, Andromeda was convinced that Bella betrayed her first, by choosing her Master instead of her.
Andy & Bella were always the closest. The three sisters were very close in general and both Bellatrix and Narcissa were closest to Andromeda, but Andy & Bella shared a bond which was so exclusive to the two of them that it could never be replicated, not even when Bella & Cissy grew closer after Andromeda left. They both loved their youngest fiercely and would have done anything to protect her from harm.
She loved Transfiguration.
Absolute prodigy with Household charms (and this is canon), but also the best, out of all the sisters, with healing magic and healing charms. (She does cure Hagrid after the Battle of the Seven Potter, after all, and he's tricky because he's half-giant).
I think she might have been a private Healer, more on that here.
She disliked cruelty (Muggle hunting and the sort) but she could be ruthless when she wanted to.
Now. The following are my personal headcanons which have no basis in reality whatsoever, but I love them. Was sorta-involved with Rabastan as a child.
Andromeda & Rabastan (& Regulus), for the way I write them, all suffer from being in the shadow of their older siblings. I think they might have played together as children, and that she had, at different points in time, a bit of a crush on both the Lestranges. Rabastan first, as kids, when he was still in his phase ewwww girls.
Joke's on him because later he became absolutely obsessed with her. To a creepy degree almost. He didn't think it fair that his older brother got to marry a Black and he didn't, he didn't understand why, all of a sudden, Andromeda seemed to hate him when she had been a comfort to him in the past... And he had grown up now, he could see that she was beautiful, hard and perfect but softer than Bella, someone he could handle.
The less she wanted him, the more he desired her.
But she had become more and more disgusted with him as the years went by. At first, he had been a sweet kid, but he had turned out much worse than his older brother, definitely a bit of a sadist, too tightly wound, with a much-too-cruel sense of humour for her liking.
She was also already smitten with Ted at this point.
Both she and Cissy had a teeeeeny tiny crush on Rodolphus at a certain point and were generally very soft and over-indulgent with him, especially in his bickering with Bellatrix (which drove her insane and made Rabastan extremely jealous). But who can blame them, my man is hot.
Rocks short hair (by ‘short’ I mean a cool bob like Shiv Roy) which is something that Ted encouraged her to get after she had Nymphadora. Apart from that, she always had long hair, like her sisters.
Speaking of which. All of you must know by now that I headcanon all the Black women (Walburga, Narcissa, Bellatrix) as having fertility problems: either they couldn't conceive or when they could they never managed to carry to term. Not Andromeda. No. Maybe it was the new blood, Ted's blood, or maybe it was sheer bad luck, but when Andromeda was sleeping with Ted as a 19-year-old, she wasn't that careful. She figured that nothing would happen - it was- oh, it was so unlikely that anything would happen. But it did.
Andromeda ran away because she had fallen pregnant with Nymphadora. She loved her darling girl from the very first minute - more than her sisters, more than anyone in the world. Her family wouldn't accept her, which hastened things.
Yeah, maybe in another universe she could have been Rabastan Lestrange's bored wife (by the way, my boy Rab is bisexual just so ya know), having an affair with Ted on the side, Lady Chatterley-style (someone write that fic!) But not in this one.
In this one, despite the love she has for her parents, her sisters, and the luxuries of her old life (her pureblood friends, the tea parties, the balls, the gowns and vacations...) she is willing to throw everything away for Ted. And most of all, for Dora.
Horrid taste in names. Rabastan is lucky he didn't end up with her, his kids would have been named something obnoxious and self-referential like Alpheratz.

trick or treat! 🎃
ahhh one more trick or treater!
as you are my last trick or treater, I will be very generous and give you the equivalent of all the candy left in my bucket. here is the prologue - about 1000 words - of my upcoming Tedromeda/Remadora fic.
November, 1959
Rain poured heavily upon London, drowning the night-dwellers of the city with frigid droplets. Andromeda Black, a formerly proper, pureblood witch, was luckily not among the many souls freezing in the downpour, though she would be drenched soon.
Neither was Ted Tonks, the Muggleborn wizard who had given Andromeda a taste of freedom, but it was time to return to her cage. He could stay in his cozy, shabby world and give another woman a wonderful life, the kind of life Andromeda didn’t know she wanted until she tried it out for herself.
She was nestled in Ted’s bed, after having spent the last few hours doing some truly sinful things with him. When they were together like this, it was as if she was being worshiped; his lips would reverently skim across her sensitive flesh, her name became a prayer on his tongue, and his eyes were always in awe, beholding the feminine vision she was proud to reflect. No one had ever made her feel so beautiful, wanted, or adored.
This night would be the last time she’d feel him against her body; how she was going to explain it to him was eating away at her soul.
“’Dromeda,” Ted murmured, his breath tickling the back of her neck, “will you swing by tomorrow?”
It was as good an opening as Andromeda was going to get.
“No.”
“No?” Ted asked, the playful edge to his voice already breaking Andromeda’s heart. “Should I show you why, if you come see me, you won’t regret a minute of your time?”
Andromeda’s breath hitched. She couldn’t do this with his warm, naked body flush against hers, stroking her skin lovingly, pressing the softest kisses to her shoulder blade.
“Could we discuss this over tea, Ted?”
The temperature in the flat plummeted.
“Of—of course,” Ted stammered. He got out of bed and summoned his bathrobe, haphazardly wrapping it around his body. He shuffled out of the bedroom and began puttering about with his dented kettle.
Andromeda sat up and began redressing herself. She took her time, pausing every few seconds to let her gaze linger on a part of Ted’s room: his stack of unread medical journals, a pile of broken quills he insisted on fixing himself, his Muggle suit jacket, which made his broad shoulders look even more enticing, and several Freddo wrappers that hadn’t made their way into his rusty wastebasket.
It was a far cry from everything she’d grown up with, and everything that her future inevitably held. If Ted were like her, a house elf would’ve taken care of the rubbish at once. But he wasn’t like her—and he was all the better for it. She would have gladly mastered any household charm necessary to have a life with him.
The kettle whistled just as Andromeda finished tucking in the last strands of her hair in a neat chignon. She lifted the quilt on Ted’s bed to her nose and inhaled deeply, hoping she his scent would be branded into her memory. Determined to make it a clean break, she stepped into the tiny kitchen, where Ted was waiting with two steaming cups of tea.
“A pinch of sugar and a splash of milk,” he said, offering her a cup, with a smile on his face that didn’t meet his eyes.
“Thank you.”
Andromeda took a seat in one of his mismatched chairs and took a sip. It was divine, just as good as the posh loose leaf blends she grew up with, but at a fraction of the price, and given to her by a man who made her feel alive. The thick, pounding rain and howling gusts made the windows rattle.
“Darling, what is it?”
Ted’s gentle concern made Andromeda want to give in, to take the greatest risk of her life, but she couldn’t risk his life as well. Her father made it perfectly clear that if she continued her illicit affair, Ted would be nothing but a pile of bone fragments, to be stuck together and sold as a trinket at Borgin and Burke’s.
Pollux Black had the Minister of Magic in his pocket, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at his disposal, and Ted wouldn’t stand a chance.
“After tonight,” said Andromeda, feeling her chin quiver, “it’s over between us. I can’t see you anymore.”
“Pardon me?”
“Ted, please. You knew this couldn’t last.”
“But—”
“I’m getting married tomorrow.” Andromeda felt a tear fall down her cheek. “I can’t—I can’t run away from this.”
“Married?” Ted’s voice cracked. “To whom?”
“It doesn’t m-m-matter.” More tears streamed down her face. Her throat felt like it was swelling; she had to remain in control. Standing abruptly, she half-sobbed, “I’ve got to go.”
She didn’t wait for Ted to acknowledge her exit. She was out of her seat, thundering down the stairs, and walking out to the street below by the time she realized Ted was calling her name.
“ANDROMEDA BLACK! STOP!”
The icy rain soaked into every inch of Andromeda’s body. Her hair fell away, sticking to the sides of her face and neck, and she crossed her arms, aching for warmth.
“Don’t do this,” begged Ted, taking her face in his hands. “Please, ‘Dromeda, we can find a way.”
“We can’t!” Andromeda cried, letting him go. “I c-can’t see you anymore! Don’t you see? We could never be together! Never!”
“You—you said you loved me—”
“I didn’t—I don’t! ”
Ted’s face contorted into an expression Andromeda had seen only once before, the day he learned his father died.
“You don’t mean that,” he said, straining. “You don’t—”
“Goodbye, Tonks,” Andromeda said coldly. “I never want to see you again.”
The last image of Ted Tonks, the one that would haunt her for the next eleven years at least, was of him, with his shoulders hunched, his beautiful face twisted in agony, and her own reflection staring back at her, with nothing but hate in her heart.

Andromeda's Unfair Advantage by @nena-96
Nena96 brings us her second work of the day, giving us a total of SIX so far for our monthly mini in honor of Andromeda Black Tonks! This one features a bit of spice - and Andromeda getting what she wants ;) Snippet and link below!
Heavy breathing, and expletives were the only sounds that filled the small room, it’s been a few hours since Andromeda came up with this plan to seduce her loving husband. Not to brag, but she could almost taste the success of getting exactly what she wants. In retrospect she always gets exactly what she wants and this time will be no different. It was only a matter of time before her loving husband, Ted Tonks, agreed to her request.
“Dromeda, please,” she heard Ted groan, as she continued loving him with her soft hands, as she gazed up and saw the lustful inferno in his eyes. She blew him a kiss and indulged in the way he begged for her to put him out of his misery.

~Biography Under Read More~
Andromeda Black was born the middle daughter of Cygnus and Druella Black. Born four years after her fierce older sister Bellatrix, only a few years later they were joined by their youngest sister Narcissa. Andromeda’s childhood may not have been considered what was normal for some wizarding families. From a young age Andromeda and her sisters were taught the proper etiquette and expectations of being from such a strong family line. They were taught that as Black women they would grow up to have the world at their feet, and their parents expected great things from them. Her relationship with her sisters wasn’t always the easiest, all three of them so different and unique. But at the end of the day Andromeda loved her sisters, and would have done anything for them.
When Andromeda entered school at Hogwarts she was sorted into Slytherin house, just as the rest of her family. Her time at Hogwarts were the years that began to shape who she would become. Andromeda excelled in her classes, doing particularly well in both Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms. She began to find her own way, her own passions and friends that pulled her further from her sisters and let her begin to flourish into her own person. She met people who made her question the beliefs she was raised on, people who made her question the things that had been ingrained in her since birth. Hogwarts is also where Andromeda met Edwards Tonks for the first time.
A muggle born wizard who by all accounts, she knew she was to have nothing to do with. She tried to put space between them, she knew what she risked by spending time with Ted. However there was no helping the way he ended up charming her and eventually she could not deny that she had fallen for him. They kept things secret, Andromeda sneaking around to meet with him whenever she could. Summers were far more difficult, sending letters wasn’t an option. She began lying to her family. Faking outings with her friends, volunteering at St Mungos. She didn’t want to lie to her family, but she also knew that if they were to find out the truth it would destroy everything. While things weren’t always easy with her family, she loved them and did not want to ruin it.
After school was over, Andromeda transitioned into work at St. Mungo’s, though her parents didn’t quite approve. Still she found the work rewarding, and in her free time she continued to see Ted as often as possible. Still it became inevitable that her family would find out about Ted Tonks. He refused to keep their relationship a secret forever, nor did she want it to be. There was a secret hope that maybe her family could accept this relationship, surely they wanted her to be happy? It all came to a head when Ted asked her to marry him, and there was no more hiding.
Telling her family went far worse than even Andromeda could have imagined. The looks of horror and disgust on not only her parent’s, but her sister's faces was more than she could bear. Their cruelty knew no bounds as they told her what a disgrace she had become to the family, that if she were to marry Ted she would no longer be part of the Black family. Nor would she ever be welcome back. Heartbroken, she left her family and returned to Ted. She married him in a small ceremony, surrounded by their closest friends and the Tonks family. While her heart ached for the family she had lost, she never knew such happiness as the day she married him. A few short years later, their daughter Nymphadora was born and Andromeda couldn’t be happier. She had a family she loved, as well as a job she enjoyed. It was enough to fill the hole left by a family that had cut her off, even if she thought of them often.
When the first whispers of a war began to go around she refused to believe it. Or rather hoped that it wasn’t true. She feared the worst of what could come from a war like this. As things got worse, she chose no side, she stayed as far away from the politics and chaos brewing as best she could. Her only concern was for her family, and keeping them safe and whole. She continued to work at the hospital, the work more important now than ever before. She saw the horrors that came from the war and went home exhausted each day, wishing for peace and the end of a war that seemed never ending.

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love! ❤️
aw, thanks jayne! i appreciate you sending this. i'm a little embarrassed about this, lol, since self-promotion is not really my thing. anyway, here are the fics in post order (oldest to newest):
bitter, beloved, rebellious (3.9k words, one-shot, complete)
“Only call me Mary when it’s important. Then I’ll listen to only you.” As the war escalates, Sirius faces a future vastly different from the one he didn't mind living in.
commentary: this is a favourite of mine because it's one of the fics that made me teary while writing it. 50% is because it's macblack/blackdonald. the other 50% is made up of everything else i felt while writing it, like existential fear, grief, loss, mourning, all those good things. like, i distinctly remember thinking about this story while waiting for a bus. imagine getting teary-eyed while waiting for a bus, jesus christ lol.
lento con gran espressione (before the end) (2.6k words, one-shot, complete)
"This was what peace felt like, this quiet moment with nothing but the rain, tea, and both of them wrapped in each other." 1979. James and Lily spend a quiet Halloween night at home.
commentary: this is a thematic sequel to the first ever fic i "officially" (because i have posted things way back, like 2004, dksfjldksfjdfls but i deleted them out of self-doubt) posted in a03/ffnet. i guess with this fic, i'm happy with my descriptions, how self-contained it is, and the cosiness of autumn that has that undercurrent of hopelessness because of jily's situation. (sorry wow lololol)
water of the womb (6.3k words, one-shot series, complete)
Coalescence: verb. come together to form one mass or whole. Divaricate: verb. stretch or spread apart; diverge widely This short series is an exploration of Andromeda Tonks and Narcissa Malfoy—the choices they have made and what led to these choices. In Coalescence, Narcissa's past and present combine, focusing on her ultimate choice in the Second Wizarding War. In Divaricate, Andromeda's choice has led her back to the past… but would she be able to reconcile with it?
commentary: sorry i cheated a bit with the series, but i can't really self-rec one without the other. happy with the cohesiveness of these two fics, how (i think) i managed to present the tenuous connection between andromeda and narcissa. i like how i ended it as well because it was realistic and right, i feel. i was also proud of how i wrote teddy lupin and the golden trio kids, i think.
sillage (2.1k words, one-shot, complete)
On the day before his exhibition opened, V finds MC staring up at his work with tears in her eyes. It was a reaction he never saw before. So he approached her to find out why.
commentary: i'm proud of this purely because i managed to wrangle the huge philosophical and metaphorical story that is kim jihyun's in mystic messenger. even now i still get confused by some of the metaphors in his storyline. but anyway this fic was during my (still ongoing) phase of "justice for jihyun kim". because why does everyone get forgiveness and love except him? and i'm still super salty about things like saeran's after end and finally getting a kiss cg but not during gameplay, but after the fact, like as the game's app intro cg like sldkjflsdj nah dude, i ain't taking that as a win.
carry on, carry on (1.6k words, one-shot, complete)
"So whatever happens. No matter what the future has in store for us. You carry on, Dromeda. You carry on." Andromeda learns of Ted's death.
commentary: i just read this right now and... holy fucking jesus christ why is it so sad??? ahahaha. and my end note is "i hope you enjoy". uh. wow, i'm so sorry to those who read this way back. i guess i'm sorry to those who might read this in the future also. again, i like how this is self-contained. i said in my end notes that i've developed a strong curiosity for off-camera moments. and that's still true. one of my prouder moments is the letter because in ffnet you couldn't strikethrough (i don't know if that's still true now); so with strikethrough being allowed in ao3, i could properly write the letter and bring to life ted's obvious mistakes (read: honesty) when writing his "last" letter to andromeda.

Closed starter for @dromeda-tonks (Andromeda x Charlie)
Charlie left for Romania very quickly after graduating hogwarts. He knew where he wanted to be and what he wanted to do. Hagrid had always told him that he had the gift. And he only really came home for holidays but even then sometimes his family came to him. He of course came back for Bill and Fleurs wedding and when he brought reinforcements to the battle of hogwarts. He sort of knew Andromeda as she was Dora’s mother and he was quite close to Dora and Remus, as well as his other order members. “Andromeda, good to see you.” He bowed his head in respect, knowing that she had taken Teddy after Remus and Dora had died.

@dromeda-tonks: "It's not the goodbye that hurts, it's the flashbacks that follow." - To Godric from Andromeda
godric knew the pain that followed with thinking of times back home. "thinking of home does sometimes have that effect." he nodded his head along. "i prefer to think of the better times with my family."

.。.:*☆ Pandora had been struggling with her life in DC lately. Even with her family here. Because of everything that had happened, and Luna not remembering her or her father anymore.... So, Pandora had decided, as long as she was not at home over the day, she would burry herself in work. She needed to make some new potions and lucky charms to sell anyway, and was pretty much behind her shedule.
Today, Pandora was all on her own in Luna’s Magical Corner. She was just in the back, preparing some small gift bags, when hearing the doorbell chim.
“Coming!” The witch claimed, putting a smile on her face as she turned to head towards the front room.

Blackborne — House of Black characters
For @artemisia-black.
Arcturus Black III: The Paterfamilias and Lord of the House of Black and great-grandfather of Leonis Black. Known as the 'Serpent of the Somme', 'the Bringer of the Black Night', and 'The Viper of the House of Black', Arcturus was one of the few wizards whom the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald feared among all others. But now? Now he is a tired, broken old man who lives with the ghosts of his failures. He failed his son Orion. He failed his grandsons Sirius and Regulus. He failed his family. It is only through Leonis, the last and best hope of The Constellation, that Arcturus has a chance at redemption. Cassiopeia Black: Dotty, secretive, and ruddy brilliant — there are many words to describe Cassiopeia Black. She lives alone in her home in the village of Tinworth, in Cornwall, with her house-elf Gippy and her library. She is also one of the most brilliant Arithmancers of the 20th century. She never believed that Sirius was guilty, never truly believed in blood purism (though, as Arcturus is loath to remember, served Gellert Grindelwald), and fills very much the 'mad scientist' vibe. Andromeda Tonks (née Black): Godmother and guardian of Leonis, she has raised her little cousin since his mother Cassandra (née Adler) was murdered by Evan Rosier in November 1981. The Malfoys had petitioned for Leonis to be surrendered to their care, they were far more capable of giving him everything he wanted, and Narcissa used the fact her sister had been disowned from The Constellation against her. It seemed lost except for two things — the first was Sirius' living will, which stated that Andromeda was to get custody of his son if his wife was unable to do so, and the second was Arcturus Black. The two met and, after a few rows, agreed... Andromeda would raise Leonis as Heir to the House, with a (nearly) free reign in the matter, while Arcturus would be able to host the boy during the summers, Yule (Christmas), New Year’s, and the boy's birthday on 29 July. Edward "Ted" Tonks: There is a saying, "there are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man". Ted Tonks fulfills that last fear. He is kind and gentle and warm, the stereotypical Hufflepuff, however... however... Leonis Black is as good as his son. And he will defend his son to the best of his ability. He is skilled with a wand, brilliant, and a talented wizard. Arcturus has slowly come to accept him as a "barely" acceptable son-in-law. Nymphadora ("stop calling me that!") Tonks: Metamorphmagus, Auror trainee, all around badass. She is Leonis' cool older sister, if slightly overprotective considering how people dislike him for being the son of an accused mass murderer. Arcturus sees something of himself in the girl — the drive, the passion, the talent. He has taken her under his wing, much to Mad-eye Moody's consternation, and taught her what he knew about dueling and fighting. Leonis Black: He is very much his father's son. Brilliant, talented and powerful magically, haughty, with a quick wit and a sharper tongue. He looks exceedingly like his father as well, which both warms and breaks his great-grandfather's heart. Though he is far less serious and stuck-up than his father was when he was his age. He adores his older sister, thinks the world of his "Aunt 'Dromeda and Uncle Ted", and even sees the good in his broken down great-grandfather. But Leonis' destiny lies on a different path... a road in twilight with the last descendant of the Peverells...
