The room was filed to capacity last night at the #hitchcocknaturecenter in #amherstma for the wonderful new film, The Lost Forests of New England. It tells the story of the universe’s gift to Massachusetts, Mr. Bob Leverett, a #Tennessee #transplant, who loves old trees and set out to find some with his son, and discovered acres of old growth forests around #massachusetts. These forest areas are a precious natural resource on so many levels, one being that the bigger and older the tree the more carbon it cleans out of the atmosphere for our planet! and thankfully they’re unknown to the general public, otherwise they might not have survived. It will be shown again locally at least two more times.
