I learned today that #giraffes are on the #endangeredspecies #list I feel #devastated I made this to #protest and #boycottanimalcircuses It started out as just a #doodle in my #sketchbook and I found I kept going back to paint on it but by bit...I hope it moves you to take one small action to help, in whatever way you can. At the end of a great packed 2 & 1/2 hr restorative yoga workshop today at @karunayoganoho I snapped a detail shot of my yoga “home”...this is where I was blessed to receive #iyengaryoga teachings from my #teacher, Deb Gray, starting way back in 2002. . Have you done #restorative yoga? It’s unlike any other kind, #props galore needed: #belt, #bolster, #blocks, #blankets, mat and the #asana works you more than you work it, the #magic is in the #allowance and your #presence. #Allowing your body to rest and open and stretch in this much different way, without tensing, the opposite of stress, just #melting into the supports and #silence. . The room was originally a #ballroom built w/ #Masonic principles, and is still used for #dances today along with #meditation, #kirtan, and always lots and lotsa of yoga.
