10.16.22 Lunchtime drawing: This English Elm in Washington Square Park is the oldest tree in Manhattan! Thanks to all that sketched and to Tree Wonder for inviting me to be their guest artist for the day with their weekly drawing sessions in the NW corner on Sundays at 11am into November.

Tranquility of Trees Finally decided what to name this new collection. My heart longs for the bush and the way nature fills me up. Trees have such beauty and wisdom. I am loving the space of connecting to the trees in my world. I have been on a #treewonderwalk over the past week and connecting to the stories and learning each day. It is a lovely focused intention that adds to the joy of daily walks. This is one of my #treewonder paintings that is still evolving. Trees remind me of how layered and detailed our world is. My wondering story in this piece is how do I show the beauty of this tree connection? I decided to add the Earth Star and the soul star chakras as the 2 - 6 pointed stars...This is still a wip and evolving as I play with what this connection to nature looks like for me. It feels gentle and flowing, full of contrasts and layers.
