#sweet beginnings tag
This tag is all about looking at your past. All you need to do is to find one of the first screenshots you ever took (preferably also published), and post it beside the recent one! And tell everybody when you took that first picture! Oh, and don’t forget to tag your posts! #sweet beginnings tag
So in September 2018, I made this sim which at the time was loosely based on me and my life as an artist. Initially, she was called Simself but as her character developed she needed an actual name. So I named her Octavia Rich or Lady O because I've always liked that name. So much so that I almost named my daughter Octavia.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then one day not too long after that there was a public download for a male sim by @budgie2budgie. Mr. Obie Tremblay. He's now one of the main OCs in @trumpets0ng story Always Walker.
Tumblr media
However, since he already had a strong character base and story line I decided to use him as a base for Isaiah Blackburn. November 2018.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then I joined NSFT discord and started following sim stories got inspired and started documenting my gameplay and the dialog that was taking place in my head. That's how the beginning of the Blackburn Legacy story "Let It Burn" was born. It was a very very humble beginning. I edited pics on my mobile device, only being able to run my game on low settings, and all I had was about 5 gigs of cc mostly if not exclusively Peacemaker and CAS stuff. Yet a story was born and it was an itty bitty infant and now it's a full-grown ass adult.
Here they are the last time they were tweaked in CAS and the last picture I took of them. My blurbos, my boos, my OCs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I miss them. They'll be back soon. We're almost done finding the next Mrs. Blackburn for this legacy story.
I'm tagging @cinamun and @glammoose and anyone else who wants to share their original OC's beginning.

TNE α Canis Majoris at The New Years Dressage Gala
In what felt like the blink of an eye, New Years was upon them, and with it, the New Years Gala. Pidge had been working with her two primary competition horses for months. Paris 2024 was coming up fast, after all, and she knew if she wanted a chance at a gold medal, the entire team would have to be in top condition. The gala, though, wasn’t quite as high stakes as the other shows she’d been competing in lately, and it was definitely a welcome reprieve to the intense gauntlet of training and qualifiers and paperwork of the past few months. Here at the gala, she was amongst friends. No one here was looking for weakness, hoping to unseat her for her spot on Team Canada. As they halted and saluted the judges, she could feel the tension seeping out of her shoulders. Sirius could, too. Beneath her, she could feel him engaging, his movements becoming fluid and supple. He always had been eager and willing to please, and loved nothing more than to dance with her. And dance they did! In those wonderful moments, they weren’t Josephine Tremblay and TNE α Canis Majoris, Olympic legacies with the weight of their Gold-winning predecessors’ success upon their shoulders; no, there, in that arena, they were just Pidge and Sirius, two friends dancing together in harmony.

for the family ask meme: the first six questions for cooper!! (rip sorry tumblr was crashing when i tried using emojis) + i read your other asks so here's a bonus question - is religion/faith important in cooper's family?
Ooh yay! I like your bonus question :)
👩 = What’s your muse’s relationship with their mother, what made it that way?
Cooper is definitely a mama's boy, and has a very very strong relationship with his mom. He is a LITTLE bit spoiled/babied by her compared to how she treats his sisters, because he's the youngest of all his siblings AND cousins, and the only boy. She gives him a little more slack lol
👨 = What’s your muse’s relationship with their father, what made it that way?
Cooper's dad is great, but he's always been a little bit afraid of/intimidated by him. He is a very strong, stern-ish, TALL, ~masculine~ presence that Cooper has never quite been able to emulate the way his in siblings in law do. That's not to say they don't have a loving relationship. Just like, some insecurity issues on Cooper's part stem from comparing himself to his dad. It’s like he told Aja: He’s his mom’s favorite, and all his sisters are his dad’s favorite lol
👩‍👧‍👧  = Does your muse have any siblings? Do they wish they had more/any?
Cooper has three older sisters! He is very happy being the youngest, and very happy not having any brothers lol
🌟 = Who is your muse’s favorite family member, why?
If anyone asked him this question he’d say his mom for the answers listed above, but the HONEST answer is his oldest sister, Emma. She’s very blunt, protective, a little bit aggressive, and tends not to cut Cooper any slack the way the other Tremblays do, so she’s always been the person Cooper knows he can go to for advice. He admires how she always says, does, and IS exactly the most authentic thing, even if it ruffles some (or a lot of) feathers.
👎 = Is there anyone in your muse’s family they dislike, why?
He would never say DISLIKE - but Red, one of his brother in laws, just annoys him lmao. He’s not as funny as he thinks he is and he is NOT the fun uncle, COOPER is the fun uncle. So what if he doesn’t wear dumb patterned shirts?
👍 = Does your muse think they’re a good child and/or sibling?
He’s not sure. He obviously comes from a “big happy family” so there’s some pressure to build onto that legacy that he feels like he hasn’t lived up to yet. But he’s very loyal to his family, works at the family business, has never missed a single reunion, wedding, or funeral, and would genuinely drop most things in order to help the family. So yes, he’s a great kid.
Bonus: Is religion/faith important in Cooper’s family?
Yes and no. The Tremblays are an interfaith family and don’t necessarily value one faith over the other. It’s more about culture than faith. Bea and Isaac would hope that their kids would love and respect someone regardless of their faith, as long as they were loyal, hardworking people who put family first.

N.B. Indigenous communities talk Coronation versus reconciliation
King Charles's Saturday Coronation is casting a shadow on reconciliation efforts, say some members of New Brunswick Indigenous communities.
“I don’t follow much about the Coronation,” said Ron Tremblay, a Wolostoqey Traditional Grand Chief. “I call it colonization,” he says, adding how Indigenous peace and friendship treaties signed in the 1720s weren't honoured by the Crown.
He grew up knowing only one Monarch: Elizabeth II. Instead of celebrating the King’s Coronation Saturday, he and others will gather alongside the river for a ceremony of their own.
When the Europeans arrived, they renamed many of the Indigenous landmarks and waterways including the Saint John River. But the Wolastoqey, call the river Wolastoq.
Tremblay says he will use the time this weekend to celebrate the river. “To honour and respect Wolastoq.”
The name has become a point of contention between Indigenous groups and the New Brunswick government.
“We’re asking all of our allies and all of the nations that are around here to join us and acknowledge her beautiful name which was, and always will be, Wolastoq,” he said.
Alma Brooks has written about the relationship between the Indigenous peoples and European settlers.
She’s a contributor to the book “The Gatherings: Reimagining Indigenous-Settler Relations”.
She remembers Elizabeth II’s coronation talked about in school. Now, she hopes the monarchy’s new chapter will bring reconciliation.
"I'm hoping he'll pursue that as the King,” Brooks said. “Connecting up with indigenous peoples because he has a legacy that needs to be put to rest.”
King Charles met with Canadian Indigenous leaders and the Governor General on Thursday.
The audience at Buckingham Palace included Assembly of First Nations Chief RoseAnne Archibald, Métis National Council president Cassidy Caron and Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami president Natan Obed, who will all be attending the coronation on Saturday.
Brooks, a member of the Wolastoqey First Nation, plans to watch the coronation Saturday morning.
“Just like everybody else, it's the pomp and the horses because I just love horses,” Brooks said.
Later in the evening, she plans to attend the Wolostoq River event.

1st generation's founder
meet blaire tremblay, my founder of the live for something legacy challenge by @aliennooboo.
blaire lives a full, fun, wild life in the city of san myshuno, running from one event to the next and trying to experience everything she can. she doesn’t want to waste her days on doing the same thing over and over again, but the fact is her lifestyle requires quite a bit of money. becoming a mixologist gives her the best of both worlds; she makes money to live her life the way she wants, but she's not missing out on the action either.

"Knock at the Cabin"
KNOCK AT THE CABIN: M. Night Shyamalan's directorial choices feel as amateurish and contrived as ever in this mediocre, forgettable, apocalyptic psychological thriller.
M. Night Shyamalan‘s legacy as a director began its sharp decline back in 2008 with “The Happening,” aka the Marky Mark killer plant movie. He continued on a path of self-destruction with “The Last Airbender,” “After Earth,” and most recently, “Old.” With “Knock at the Cabin,” which Shyamalan (and co-writers Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman) adapted for the screen from Paul G. Tremblay’s horror…

Come get to know me y'all! Thank you @cinamun for the tag.
1. What’s your favorite sims death? I cheated it but I had Peeping Tom die death by rabbit and Death by flies. I think the death by flies was hands down my favorite.
2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? BOTH! I consider my style Maxis Mix but I haven't added any alpha cc to my game in a very long time.
3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Not in my gameplay saves but in my legacy save I usually don't play long enough for them to gain weight.
4. Do you use move objects? Absolutely I do try to remember to playtest though but sometimes I do forget.
5. Favorite mod? Wicked Whims, TOOL, and MCCC. Sorry, I couldn't pick just one.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? My first EP was City Living, GP Dine Out and I think my first SP was Laundry.
7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? I say it both ways.
8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Isaiah Blackburn. Although technically he was Obie Tremblay when I downloaded him from @budgie2budgie. After playing offline for a day or two I gave him a makeover. He has had several tweaks over time. I'm very satisfied with where he is now though.
9. Have you made a simself? Yes, and she is living her best simulated life.
10. What sim traits did you give yourself? foodie, creative, romantic, and neat.
11. What is your favorite EA hair color? Black and the cooler red. I wish the black was blacker though. It's still a bit ashy looking.
12. Favorite EA hair? All of the dread locs. Loc'd life forever!
13. Favorite life stage? Toddlers they are so stinkin' cute!
14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? I am a builder at heart but I do enjoy gameplay for like two hours then I get bored. I am a storyteller and builder.
15. Are you a CC creator? I've done a handful of recolors and I have my own wall art cc.
16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad? I have mutuals and some of those mutuals have my contact info so I guess that makes them my friends too.
17. What’s your favorite game? The Sims 4 is the only game I have time to play.
18. Do you have any Sims merch? Nope.
19. Do you have a YouTube for sims? Yes, but I haven't updated in a long while.
20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? I don't think it's changed much except that I've gotten better.
21. What’s your Origin ID? TheRichAntSim
22. Who’s your favorite CC creator? All of the ones that do it for FREE and for the love of the game.
23. How long have you had a simblr? 2018 but I have had a Tumblr forever.
24. How do you edit your pictures? Gshade, Photoshop, and Photoscape X Pro.
25. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? City Living, Seasons, and Cottage Living. Growing Together is so far so good.
26. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? I don't care to be honest I wish they would focus on fixing broken packs and improving others like they did Spa Day.
Tag: @trumpets0ng @glammoose @bobnewbie @ladybugsimblr @storiesbyjes2g @shesthespinstersimmer @sheplayswithlifee @shysimblr @eslanes @ellemant @haziewhims @hazelminesims

Our legacy isn't what we write on our resume or how many commas we have in our bank account. It's who we're lucky enough to have in our lives and what we can leave them with. The one thing we do know, we're here now. So I say we do the best we can, and that's what I think about my legacy.
