Gabriel furrowed his brows, his grip on the door tightening just a little at the unimpressed look aimed his way. The teenager in front of him had a duffle-bag thrown over his shoulder.

“Samuel.”

“Stepfather.”

Gabe made a face at that. “I do hate when you call me that and you know that.”

Samuel just grinned, running a hand through his mohawk. “That's half the fun, you know.”

“What are you doing here? Without calling first. Did Berto know you'd come?”

Sam shrugged and shifted the weight of his duffle-bag onto his other shoulder. “Eh. I figured you'd be home. Is dad here too, or is he at work or...?”

Tumbler prompt #66. “Can you quit being so sassy?” - “Can you quit being so controlling?” Trend/Derek/Sam

“Can you quit being so sassy?”

“Can you quit being so controlling?”

Sam groaned and collapsed backward on the bed as his boyfriends kept glaring at each other. Sure, Trend was controlling. Sure, Derek was sassy. But did they regularly have to fight about that? Or rather: Could they not fight about this while he was in the room. He didn’t care if they spent all day fighting while he was out, but when he was home too? Couldn’t they be… Never mind, they couldn’t. Glaring at both his stupid, stupid boyfriends, he grabbed Iggy and hugged the red stuffed pony close. At least someone was reliably cuddling with him. Burying his nose in the soft fluffy toy, he got more comfortable on the bed, curling up closely.

“Hey, idiots”, called Sam out irritated.

Both his boyfriends snapped their heads over to him immediately. Both were also still glaring – had been glaring at each other for the past ten minutes now. Trend’s eyebrows smoothed out when he saw the way Sam was curled together. So cute and small and soft looking.

“Yes, sweetheart? What is it?”, asked Derek, immediately sitting down next to him.

“How about you stop fighting and instead start paying attention to me?”, grumbled Sam.

“Oh, how are you this cute when pouting”, cooed Derek, kissing Sam’s cheek. “Isn’t he the cutest?”

“Absolutely”, agreed Trend, sitting down on Sam’s other side, kissing his other cheek.

Sam smiled pleased as his boyfriends snuggled up to him. He knew exactly how to make them agree on something, because there was one thing they completely agreed on. That was their love for Sam. So, usually, it worked out perfectly when he just drew their attention to himself.

“So gorgeous”, sighed Derek contently, nosing Sam’s neck. “And I just love seeing you in Trend’s clothes. Regardless how how awful his taste in fashion is, at least they are large and make you look even more endearing that you already are. Which… downright impossible.”

Sam grinned to himself at that, shaking his head a little. Trend grunted irritated, because of the dig, but he also couldn’t deny that Sam indeed was the cutest. Curled together peacefully like that, Sam slowly drifted off to sleep, content that his boyfriends had stopped fighting.

Which one is more fond of scary movies/likes to watch spooky shows: Derek, for the sole purpose of annoying the living shit out of Trend and pretending to be scared so he gets to cling onto Sammy all night and hog him. Which, actually adds to the “annoying the living shit out of Trend” part. So, win-win-win for Derek. ;D

Which one gets the most excited about Halloween: Derek, for the sake of hot costumes. And don’t think for a second Sammy won’t indulge him. Oh boy. *wiggles eyebrows*

Which one would be more likely to survive the apocalypse: Sam. Hands down Sammy.

Which one would literally kill for the other: Actually apparently Trend. I forgot about that, oops.

Which one likes to scare or startle the other: Neither, really. But Derek will shamelessly pretend to scare easily so he gets to cling onto Sammy and have Sam play protector! ^o^

Which one is more likely to need comforting when they get spooked: Sam. And he can count on his boyfriends to comfort him.

Which one always puts on a brave face: Sam has been swallowing his shit for years now. He has mastered the brave face.

Which one would be more dangerous if they suddenly became violent: Oh definitely Derek, if you were to hurt his Sammy. He will fuck you up with the help of plants and the Earth itself. Dunno why the flower-powered ones are always reduced to cute gardening? They can? Literally tear open the Earth? And plants are everywhere??

Which one would be more likely to commit a crime: Trend committed a murder that I forgot. So him. Smaller crimes? Derek.

Which one believes in ghosts: All three know ghosts exist.

Which one would propose the idea of holding a seance: Neither, really.

Which one has nightmares more often: Sam. A lot at times. Depending on what’s been happening in real life and reminded him of the past.

Which one would want to explore a real haunted house: Derek will eagerly suggest it for more pretending to be scared stuff! ^o^

For the sweet and fluffy new ask game - Trend/Derek/Sam

Who said “I love you” first: Trend? Probably Trend. I can genuinely not answer this in canon-context because it has been so long since I wrote CF. I apologize.

Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background: Derek has a different background for each day of the week, because there are too many gorgeous photos of Sammy to make him pick just one. Also lockstreen. Also tablet-background. Also key-charm.

Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror: Derek, but they’re all dirty and inappropriate. Also rather demanding.

Who buys the other cheesy gifts: Trend does. Even for Derek, though Derek rolls his eyes and acts like he doesn’t care - he actually does.

Who initiated the first kiss: Derek. He was always the most hands-on person.

Who kisses the other awake in the morning: Depends. Sammy likes to gently kiss his boyfriends awake. Derek does it with dirty intend. Trend prefers to watch them sleep until they rouse on their own accounts.

Who starts tickle fights: Sander does. The threesome gets dragged into it by Sander.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower: Derek. Too high sex-drive. If one of his boyfriends goes to take a shower, there is a 200% chance Derek will be right behind them. Literally.

Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch: Sam, probably, since he’s the only solid cook between the three of them.

Who was nervous and shy on the first date: Sam, for both of those. He is still not very good with the romance stuff.

Who kills/takes out the spiders: Trend is terrified of spiders. Athena-thing. And Derek, as a son of Demeter, really doesn’t mind insects and the likes at all - they’re very natural out in the garden. Derek is very smug every time he takes out a spider. Sam watches with fond exasperation.

Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk: Derek. But it’s not romantic, it’s rather dirty Very dirty.

For the ship and number ask I wanted to ask something for either of my favourite ships, either Nircey or Trend/Derek/Sam but... I can already think of an answer for all of them! You are far to thorough Phoe! Hmm, so for Trend/Derek/Sam - 13 and 28 (other than sex)

13. What do they do for fun? Do they have a favorite activity or do they like to switch things up?

I will inform you that Derek is glaring quite viciously at you for removing sex from the options. It is his favorite pastime.

With their different interests, it’s quite hard for them to find common grounds, actually. Trend prefers his peace and quiet to read a book or play chess, Derek loves his gardening, Sammy his cooking. They compromise, usually.

Derek knows how to play chess. Most of the time they do turn it into a bit of a bet of who gets Sam that night. Sam thinks they’re both ridiculous.

Gardening, surprisingly enough, is the one they can best compromise on. It’s calm and peaceful so it suits Trend and it has the routine to it which is what Sam appreciates about cooking. The three of them have the most beautiful garden in all of New Athens.

Occasionally, they also go for a ride with their pegasi, though Trend would rather not.

28. What are their vacations like?

Once again, I will be forced to inform you that Derek is glaring at you in a way that should make you grateful that looks can’t kill. Their vacations are 50% sex.

Sadly, they never really get a couple’s retreat kinda thing.

Someone is always tagging along. May it be Sara, who thinks she needs more bonding time with her big brother and then also takes her boyfriend Marshall with her.

Or Sander and Donny, who have become increasingly more and more attached to the threesome.

And, of course, since most of their vacations do take place at the old Raser Manor, there are the chances of running into any number of Rasers there.

So, it’s always loud, there’s always other people, but it’s also always fun.

Trend/Derek/Sam for the christmas asks please?

What did they get each other for Christmas?: Sex-toys. Derek got them sex-toys. Trend is Not Impressed and Sammy is highly flustered. Trend knitted them matching sweaters (oh yes, Trend knows how to knit). They are super adorable and Sammy loves them and Derek secretly loves them. Sam got Trend a rare, old book - thanks to uncle Liam and uncle Alabaster - and he got Derek a magical, rare flower that he obtained with the help of Phyl and Donny (Phyl did not enjoy the quest).

Christmas morning as a couple?: Seeex. Lazy, sweet cuddling? Hah. Sam woke Trend up with a Christmas-blowjob and when Derek woke up to that sight, he took advantage of Sammy’s ass pointing his way and gave Sam a Christmas-rimjob.

Where did they celebrate? (Whose family were they with/did their families come over to their place?): At the Raser estate in England, with the whole family. It was a little tricky, sneaking around grandpa who just thought “those two lads are good friends of my grandson’s”, but… Jolene and Malene helped give them alibis, because they’re awesome like that. Liam and Alabaster also came, of course. It was a bit overwhelming for Derek and Trend - Sam’s grandpa, mom, uncle(s) and aunt as well as his cousins - but it was also beautiful, because… they haven’t had a Christmas with a proper family in years.

Who decorated? And how much?: Oh, Jolene and Malene went so overboard that Sam was downright embarrassed when he showed his boyfriends around, because there was just sooo much Christmas everywhere

Who cooked dinner?: Jolene, Malene and Sam cooked, while Derek was engaged in a drinking contest with Selene (Sam is slightly terrified by how well Derek and his cousin are getting along) and Trend was engaged in conversation with Liam and Alabaster.

Who baked the cookies?: That one, Sammy did on his own. He brought them along to the Christmas dinner… or, well, he brought what was left after Derek followed the scent of freshly baked cookies and used Trend as a distraction so he could steal said cookies…

What was their favorite part of the day?: Actually everything. From start to finish. It was just all so overwhelming for all three of the boys and they loved every minute of it.

“It wasn’t that bad. Please stop exaggerating, sweetheart.”

Derek heaved a sigh and rolled his eyes as his fingers caught Sam’s wrist. But oh, that boy’s eyes were ablaze with the fire of war. Sam looked ready to tear down entire cities.

Trend opened his mouth to intervene, though he knew the stubbornness of both his lovers was unbeaten so he wasn’t entirely sure how he could intervene.

Sam held up a hand to signal for Trend to shut the fuck up before he even had the chance to say something. The next moment, the son of Ares was walking over to the guy at the other end of the bar, some fairly handsome son of Dionysus. Sam’s glare alone was enough to make the guy shut up and freeze, knowing that the wrath of Ares was a fierce and deadly one.

Sam pushed the guy against the wall, pinning him by the throat. “Derek told me what you did, and all I’m gonna do is tell you to stay away.” Sam leaned in, his breath making the guy shudder. “I want to do entirely different things, but Derek doesn’t want me to. So I’ll just have you know that if you ever grope anyone without their concent again, I will break every single bone in your hand. But if you are stupid enough to try and do so with my boyfriend, I’ll do far worse. Am I understood, bag of dicks?”

The guy nodded jerkily and Sam let go of him. After giving him another harsh push that knocked the wind out of him. Sam was still glaring as he returned to his boyfriends. He very decidedly sat down with his legs thrown over Derek’s, a possessive arm around the smaller male’s shoulders and his face buried in Derek’s neck.

Derek heaved a sigh and exchanged a meaningful look with Trend. All Trend did was scoot closer to caress Sam’s back soothingly.

Derek was used to it; drunk horny assholes groping him in passing and laughing at it. He did have a reputation, after all, and many thought they had a right to catch in on that. He didn’t quite care about it.

Sam did. With Sam’s own history, the son of Ares took those kind of things far more serious than Derek did and the mere thought of someone touching those he loved without their consent made Sam furious.

“Better, love?”, asked Trend gently. “You can tuck our flower boy away for safekeeping for the night, if you’d like?”

Derek was short of protesting - he did not appreciate being damsel-in-distress-ed by them - but then the implied meaning of going back home to their shared bed and with a possessive, adrenaline fueled Sammy caught up with him.

“Yes, that sounds wonderful”, agreed Derek wickedly. “Let’s go home. You can fuss about me there, sweetheart.”

(YES. I’m still doing this. I really love this drabble-thing. It’s a great exercise for me in keeping things short, so please, feel free to keep them coming, guys!)

Derek was not impressed with his boyfriend. Trend had handed him a doughnut shaped and painted floatie. Derek’s size was a bit of a constant jibe between them; it was nothing new. It had been ever since they had first started dating, before the breakup. Derek was aware he was short, but this one was a low blow from Trend. He glowered.

Trend was completely serious as he shook his head and pointed toward the pool. “I figured I could improve the view for myself.”

Trend was sitting on a lounger, reading a book. And in front of him, in the pool where he had just pointed, was Sam, hanging in a similar floatie in a way that… oh. Sam was sticking out of the floatie so far that it was tilted and thus Sam’s ass was sticking out of the other side of the floatie, pointing into Trend’s direction.

“…You always act like such a sophisticated man, Austin, but at your core, you’re as much of a horn-dog as I am”, stated Derek solemnly.

He still grabbed the floatie to go and join their Sammy in the pool though.

26. What would be their theme song? 

…This was surprisingly more easy than expected. I mean holy shit, I can just imagine Derek singing it with the snarkiest expression, having Sam and Trend on either side of him. It speaks to so many aspects of their personalities and their relationship.

Naaah that was still from the prompts I took in *cough* January *cough* - in my defense, I did not expect to get 75 prompts in three hours. Fuck me.

But hey. I wrote 35 already in the past 7 months. So. I mean. That should count for something. *still feels guilty about taking so long*

It’s why I put the tumblr drabbles on my regular schedule for every Monday. So I’ll actually see the end of them at one point.

But, speaking of that, I actually reorganized shit today and I’ma just hijack this real quick to make an announcement-thingy about that, yeah? Yeah.

I am definitely going to finish all prompts before this year ends.

For that, I decided to kinda mash it with my Advent Calendar project. That is to say, I’ll take 23 of those prompts and write them Christmas-y, to be posted in December on a daily basis until Christmas.

The other ones will actually be exactly enough to tie over as Monday updates until the end of November - meaning by the 23rd of December, I will officially have cleared out my inbox.

So, uhm, I know Christmas is still a little while, but hey - you can stay optimistic that I’ll take new prompts before the year ends. ;D

This time, DEFINITELY with a limit to how many everyone is allowed to send. As well as an overall limit. Because I am rather only taking a certain amount of prompts and then get to take new prompts sooner again. But yeah, I swear next round of prompt-taking is going to be better organized - I learned from this one - and also be posted, you know, quicker, due to being better organized.

But yeah the one I posted today out of schedule was because it was the odd one out and by posting it now, it became a nice even number that works out perfectly for Christmas and leading up to December.

(And yeah. With that, my updating schedule is officially planned through to the T all the way to New Year’s Eve. Fuuuck meee.)

do you think you can tell us more about your OC’s from the Chasingverse? specifically Trend and Marshall because i feel like we really don’t know much about them(Marshall especially)

Of course I can. Or at least, I can try. It’s been far too long since I wrote, or read, “Chasing Fireflies” or “Chasing Origins”. So there might be canons I might now be contradicting due to lack of an infinite brain-storage… ^^°

Trendafil Ignatius Austin

Fun fact: Trendafil means “rose”. It’s why the red rose became kind of the symbol for Trenderam for me - rose, because Derek is a son of Demeter and loves flowers and roses in particular, red because it’s Sam’s favorite color.

Another fun fact is that when I first designed my OCs, Trend and Derek had been each other’s endgame. Sam just kind of got in the way of that.

And originally, Trend was also intended to be Roman - but then Riordan decided that Minerva doesn’t have kids and, well. One of the things that swtuck around from that is his weapon, because it’s Imperial Gold, the material usually reserved to Romans. Its name is Owl’s Feather and it’s a one-edged sword with a golden amulet as its Mist form - the amulet is round, with an owl imprint on it and a moonstone set below the owl. When the moonstone is pressed, it turns into a sword.

Trend was born on the 26th February 2015 to Athena and Michael Austin.

His mortal father died during a robbery and Trend was there and witnessed the murder. It did have an effect on him. He went through foster care before he ended up in New Athens.

And he was actually quite different as a child. Compared to his slightly stoick, calm and composed self, Trend was rather loud and chatty. He loved soaking up knowledge and also to share it - spouting random facts and rambling excitedly. He learned to control and filter that, over the years.

But his loud and chatty nature was how he had first befriended Marshall, because Marshall has always been quiet in nature.

Together with Sander Rodriguez, Sam Raser and Marshall Mikaelson did he form the Sons of War. Their own little group. And while Sander, Sam and Marshall liked going on quests and made a name for themselves, Trend doesn’t actually like fighting and quests.

He just liked thinking and strategizing. Coming up with plans to go through a quest was far more fun than actually going on quests.

The irony behind all of that was that his friends wouldn’t be the heroes they were without Trend, because Trend is a born trainer. He was the one making their plans for diet and training. He taught and trained them.

For the longest time, Trend thought he had no mortal family, because his grandparents had been dead already. What he hadn’t known was that his grandfather - Ignatius Austin - had a younger brother and said brother had a daughter. Trend’s father and his cousin had lost touch though and so Trend had never gotten to meet her. Only when Trend is already an adult does he reach out to Gabrielle to get to know her and realizes that she had a son about Trend’s age - Raphael Hudson. After meeting them and getting to know them, Trend actually grows rather close to Raphael. (Though all of that has not yet happened in the Chasingverse.)

Despite how much Trend loves to teach, he’s going to become a doctor. Though he’s going to teach winter classes at the Jackson la Rue dojo (which, by then, will be owned by Jimmy and Silly, btw).

Oh, and he’s from Texas. I don’t know if I ever actually mentioned that before, but Trend’s originally from Texas.

Marshall Mikaelson

Marshall was born on the 17th of May 2014 to Theodore Mikaelson and the goddess Enyo.

While his father died - he was a soldier and fell during war - his grandparents Bernard and Renate Mikaelson are still very much alive.He regularly visits them for the holidays, but he knows a demigod child in the house would be too much trouble and he wouldn’t want to endanger his mortal family. His daughter Rene is named after his grandmother.

Marshall is a born leader. He’s been the head of Enyo cabin for many years and beyond that, he had also taken the Enyalios cabin under his wing.

He’s quiet. Has always been quiet. That, coupled with his physique - very tall and very broad, overall rather intimidating - had led to him always being a bit of an outsider. So when that tiny, excitable blonde boy approached him and wanted to be friends, Marshall couldn’t have been happier. For that alone, Trend had earned himself a lasting place in his heart.

There’s one thing his height is useful for - basketball. He’s actually the team-captain of the Athena Academy Owls and rather proud of that.

His own quiet nature and tendency to stick to the background led to him being very observant and perceptive. He was the first one to catch on with Trend’s feelings for Sam, for example.

When Trend started to mellow out a little and became calmer in character, the two of them isolated themselves more often. For games of chess or reading with each other.

Outside of the Sons of War, Marshall actually gets along rather well with Calandra Rodriguez - or used to, when they were younger and before Cally joined the hunt.

And through his younger half-brother Erik, Marshall is also rather close with the four who want to become their own version of the Sons of War - Erik Anderson, Jonas Meyer, Victor Kruger and Chuck Smith. Those four were inspired by the Sons of War, due to Erik admiring his big brother.

It was thanks to Sam that Marshall met the love of his life - Sara Mers, daughter of Mars and thus Roman half-sister of Sam - when he was twelve. He slowly started developing a crush on her, over time.

Marshall and his wife Sara are going to work at the Jackson la Rue dojo. It’s calm, regulated and he knows that neither Jimmy nor Silly are really equipped to teach the kids anything; they’re more on the business side of things.

They have two children, a son named Yonas who’s a legacy of Enyo, and a daughter named Rene who is a legacy of Ares.

1. How do they fall asleep? Wake up? Any daily rituals?

Okay, for this we’re going into the future to where they are already living back in New Athens, in their duplex house with Trenderam, but before their youngest - the twins Cosimo and Capyra - are born.

Falling asleep is simple: They’re cuddled up to each other. Occasionally, one of their kids sneaks in to sleep between them, but there is always cuddles.

One of their kids *cough* Cal *cough* jumps onto their bed, demanding their love and attention.

After that, the family gets ready together. Sander and Donny have a routine in that already. Donny takes care of the oldest and youngest, Calogero and Celine. Changing diapers, feeding, getting the little one dressed, all while trying to make Cal do the same. Sander, surprisingly enough, has a really good handle on the triplets.

Once dressed and groomed, they make their way over to Trend, Derek and Sam to eat breakfast. Yes, Donny is quite the leech when it comes to Sam’s backing. And Cal is always happy to see Eli.

Then it’s off to school and kindergarten for the little ones and work for the adults. Donny and Sander kiss and exchange lunches - the dorks make lunches for each other but not themselves, so they can exchange them. Each with a sticky note that says something cute.

19. What do they fight about? What are their arguments like? How do they make up?

Fight? How do you fight with a cute, innocent puppy like Sander…? No, even when Donny is enraged by Sander doing something stupidly reckless, he can never stay mad long enough. He has done his fair share of reckless shit over the course of their quest too, after all. So there’s just lots of soft kissing.

23. How do they hug? Kiss? Tease? Flirt? Comfort?

Long-lasting, with Donny’s head tugged under Sander’s chin and just clinging onto each other.

Most of their kisses are soft, just pecks of lips - or kissing each other’s faces. Though they can get quite filthy in the bedroom.

Donny teases. A lot. Mainly with his skin-tight leather-pans. Sander teases unintentionally by training shirtless.

They both suck at flirting. They just get lost in each other’s eyes like the super sappy dorks they are.

And comfort includes a looot of cuddling and kissing and soft words of reassurance.

38. What are they like in the bedroom? Any kinks/fetishes/turn-ons? Anything they won’t do?

Donny’s a power-bottom. Why he doesn’t quite like the idea of topping Sander, he loves the idea of dominating Sander. Sander thinks that’s the hottest thing ever, because his Dark Sea being all bossy? Damn.

50 feels like a bit of a cheat and im not entirely sure I understood it but here’s my question regardless: Have you considered at all including Phylicia Rosenberg (i think that’s her last name) in any other stories, because I found her drooling over basically everyone adorable ^•^

I think 50 is more meant to encourage people who would have questions but wouldn’t ask them outside of an ask thing that prompts them to ask questions? Shy people, ya know. Even though I always take all questions, which might have become pretty obvious over the past months xD

*laughs* Shy, precious Phyl. Well, I mean, I did occasionally use her in my Sonny and Trenderam fics (the ones written after her creation. Because, chronologically speaking, she is my youngest PJatO OC) because she works wonderful as Derek’s best friend.
