Continuing the Remembrance Day theme with an oc I haven't formally introduced yet, No. 303!
303 (he/him) is a War Department Hunslet 4-6-0T, also affectionally known by its nickname the "War Office." I'll save most of his lore for when I finally get around to doing his ref sheet but I will offer a few tidbits!
He survives WWI and carries a large, deforming scar across the left side of his face from his service. (He has both eyes, he's just winking haha)
His nose was also broken during the war, leaving it crooked and misshapen. He believes in wearing his scars with pride, but, deep down is still quite self-conscious of his battered face.
He's best friends with Dave and sees him like a mentor and an older brother. He meets Schatzchen post-war and becomes fine friends with him as well.
303 (his only identifier and number) is shared by a real Hunslet (works number No. 1215) who served as his inspiration and, as I take it, is the only remaining "War Office" still running. Schatzi was also inspired by a real Brigadelok: No. 1091 (works number No. 15968) and No. 945 (works number No. 14913)
that's all folks!

Happy Armistice Day!!! I haven't drawn much recently- been dealing with artblock. But I did manage to draw our Little Treasure celebrating the Centennial end of the War To End All Wars. Isn't he handsome in his poppies? The girls who know, know.
I did use a brush for his wreath because drawing a million flowers by hand was- too much for me this time LOL. Enjoy this small offering. I shall return with more art soon.

Oops, another oc just dropped. Meet Amos, an easy going traction engine who, of course, served in The Great War! Felt like making a little doodle of him in a similar fashion to Dave's first drawing. Amos is a kind and gentle soul. He's always willing to help, even if his occasional clumsiness gets in the way.
Character inspired by the Foden Steam Wagon that participated in the 2014 Tracks to the Trenches event on the Apedale Valley Railway.
Uh that's all I got for now! I've been taking a break from drawing big projects recently but I should return very soon!

The Trengine spam is real this week. Might as well hit the iron while it's hot, right? Here's a Schatzi but with opposable thumbs and leggies. He goes by Siegfried in this form since Schätzchen isn't a legit human name. It's more of a baby name you'd give a family member or significant other.
I dressed him up in a typical Heeresfeldbahn uniform. I was even feeling generous enough to give him a rank. Unteroffizer is the equivalent of a corporal in US terms. I wonder if he should have a rank as a steam engine too, that would be kind of cute.
I also gave him collar tabs with the insignia of the Heeresfeldbahn on them, a golden winged engine wheel. Also stuck a little iron cross on there cause he deserves some sort of medal for being a good boy.
The cockades on his uniform hat represent the kingdom of Prussia and Bavaria. He is more than likely part of a Bavarian regiment because of where I want him placed on the Western Front.
When I was redesigning his normal engine form I modeled a lot of his color scheme after the uniform so hopefully that is noticeable! Especially his golden belt buckle. He should have a dark colored coupling but it looks so much like a belt buckle on the engine I couldn't pass the opportunity to make it brass like on a German uniform.
I was going to make a civi version and working clothes version but too eepy. Maybe I'll add onto it later.
