What rotten luck...

The first year had hidden himself away in a empty hallway between the practice building and the main building to be out of the sight of other students and staff. The day had been rough as usual but this time Mao had the misfortune of sitting on some thumbtacks that were planted in his seat. He didn’t go to a bathroom stall for risk of someone dousing him with water (again) so he opted for a no traffic hall to pluck out the pins painstakingly and patching himself up. He gave a heavy sigh as he finished up, only to feel his heart leap into his throat at the sudden presence of an upper classman.

Mao’s back immediately hit the wall as he looked up to Akira, trying to figure out what to say. Had she seen any of this? He surely hoped not...Wait..isn’t she that student..?

“I--! Um! W-What are you doing--?! I-I mean...Isn’t..there somewhere else you should be..?”

Visiting back home was always....Strange, sure Tokyo was where they all lived, but coming back home to her mother's flower shop was just as welcoming as coming back to Leblanc from a long day. Akira was busy watering the flowers when Leon said those exact words. Her eyes widening and her face turning red as she realized exactly what he meant.

With their faint memories of their childhood to the present, Akira had always felt close to Leon. It took them years to find each other again and...She could feel herself get...Nervous, a fluttery feeling in her chest as she stared at him. Waiting for him to stutter, blush and take back his words. But there's none of that. He's blushing and so is she, but he doesn't take it back. Her fingers loosening on the watering can a little before it eventually drops to the floor. "....You....Mean it?"

The realization just struck after he said these words, causing him to blush heavily, looking at Akira bewilderedly. It honestly came from his mind, out of impulse.

For a few seconds, he was lost for words, not knowing what he should say next.

But his last words were sincere, this was how he really felt about her. From being childhood friends until right now, the two, including his little sister, went through a lot, but also wonderful times with each other. And this was why his feelings towards her also grew stronger.

"I-I do, I mean, I d-do really like y-you!" The brunet felt so ashamed for being this flustered, thinking he was saying nonsense to her. "Y-you m-mean so m-much to m-me...!" At this point, he was covering his flustered face.

It was rare for Ren to be this tired, but between his jobs last night, he stayed out way later than usual. Normally, he would’ve had Akira there, but it was urgent, so he had to go it alone. Currently, the ravenet was laying on his side as he slept, clearly exhausted. It would be quite some time before he would even begin to stir, so his wife’s plan of making him breakfast was possible.

“You want us to help you, Mama? But you got mad when I was playing with the stove last time...” Satoru looked down, slightly ashamed of what he had done. His parents rarely got mad at him and his sister. They were usually upset at most, so when she was angry with him, it stood out. That being said, he understood that it was because she was worried about him hurting himself.

"Yeah... rough day..."

Shiho sighed and lifted the cup to her lips, blowing on it before taking a sip. While she considered whether or not she wanted to talk about it, she decided she'd take some time to enjoy her coffee first. Eventually though, she would finally speak up again, putting her cup back down and letting her weary smile give way to a frown.

"I got in a fight..."

“…Hey Leon did you paint your nails?” Akira leans forward, noticing now the dark blue wasn’t her eyes playing tricks on her. She takes one of his hands gently before smiling, “These look really good! Did you do them yourself? The color suits you too.”

The first days, there was a lot of doubt in him for showing his newly painted nails, constantly trying to hide them from others. That seemed to work rather well, until Akira discovered them, even taking one of his hand to examine it closely. 

Initially Leon was almost lost of words, blushing heavily with the fear for what she would say about it. 

“O-oh, you really think so...?” He was honestly a bit surprised to hear a compliment like this. “Well, a friend of mine painted my nails for me...”

"So much candy..." She took it and was just very happy. Yep, she was gonna have a sugar crash that was for sure.

She arranged the red tulip and rose carefully on top of the heart shaped bento box she had made for him. It would seem a bit corny wasn’t it? The two of them in the park on top of a blanket for a small picnic away from the sight of others. Akira only smiles at him before gently kissing him, “Happy Valentine’s Day Goro.”

Even though Akira had felt that it may have been a bit corny, Goro found it incredibly sweet. In fact it was so cute and sweet that it had completely taken him off guard. A blush very apparent on his face before he returned the soft kiss. "Happy Valentine's Day Akira. You always make every day special..."

Ren turns to look at Akira and smiles warmly at her. “It’s just something I’ve been thinking about. I mean, not that our lives were particularly normal before we met, but two worlds kinda just...melding together... and we are the only ones who really know about it. It’s kinda wild, isn’t it?”

The wholehearted Trickster’s words have strong merit. She’s got a great introspective mind. “It really is a blessing. After all the crap both of us have gone through, to be able to be with you... I’m so lucky.” He gives the ravenette a peck on the cheek, still smiling, his eyes full of love when he pulls back and they meet hers again. “I love you so much, Akira. And I always will.”
