Crypto Roundup: November 9th, 2020

As results seesawed for days during the US election, Bitcoin emerged as a clear winner. The leading cryptocurrency hit highs above $15K, before pulling back slightly as media networks announced that Joe Biden will be entering the White House.

The crypto rally was accompanied by a weakening dollar, which fell on expectations that president-elect Biden will push through more coronavirus stimulus measures. This boosted the S&P 500 to deliver its best week since April with 7% gains, but Bitcoin stole the show with a 13% surge.

Elsewhere, the rally was supported by more bullish news. Demand has surged for PayPal’s crypto products, and central banks around the world — including in Canada, Thailand and Brazil — are pushing ahead with plans for digital currencies.

Ethereum staking launches

This week marked a monumental milestone for Ethereum, which moved one step closer towards the launch of Ethereum 2.0.

In a blog post on Wednesday, the Ethereum Foundation announced that Ethereum 2.0 will finally go live on December 1, and that the staking contract is now available. Since then, almost 50,000 ETH has been deposited by budding stakers looking to help support the network.

Ethereum staking is planned to be supported on eToro, alongside existing support for Cardano and Tron.

Institutions drop gold for Bitcoin

Bitcoin is eating away at institutional demand for gold, according to a report from JPMorgan.

Data from the investment bank shows that funds have been flowing out of gold ETFs as demand has grown for Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust, suggesting family offices and asset managers increasingly see Bitcoin as a better alternative than the yellow metal.

In similar news, veteran investor Bill Miller told CNBC on Friday that Bitcoin’s staying power gets “better every day” and that “every major bank” will eventually have exposure to Bitcoin or a similar asset.

The Week Ahead

After making big gains for five consecutive weeks, Bitcoin is almost approaching the all-time high. Yet as the price pushes upwards, the crypto sentiment indicator is lurching into extreme greed, suggesting a pullback could be in store.

Nevertheless, with the pandemic still escalating, and the dollar weakening on loose monetary policy, traders are likely to continue seeking alternative stores of value like Bitcoin.

If the rally continues, then the next level of resistance lies at $16K. Beyond this, Bitcoin faces the final test at the 2017 high of just under $20K.

Last Month – EOS at 185%, TRON at 158%, IOTA at 133% followed by Bitcoin Cash, Cardano, ETH, Stellar Lumens and VeChain

Despite a bearish beginning to the year when Bitcoin was still around the $14K – $16K range, the past month has proven to be more than a bullish signal. The past month reflects gains for the top coins in the market, riding a wave of bullish trends.

5 of the top 10 coins by total market cap showed over 100% growth over the month, with the market slowly building up a bullish momentum. It is a turn-around from the mostly stagnant market of March, with many coins building up to highs not seen since the overly bullish market of December last year

There have been exemplary performers over the past month but out of the Top 20 here are a few ranked according to the order of % gain over the past month:

1. EOS [EOS]:

The top gainer this month was EOS. At a 185% growth, it stands head and shoulder above the competition. It started off last month at $5.78 on April 4th, going up to $22.13 on April 29th. At press time, it currently rests at $17.25, with a 7.08% growth in the last week. It is currently at the #5 position by an overall market cap. A few factors have led to its growth that occurred over the last month. Some of them are:

Upcoming main net launch on June 2nd, from being an ERC20 token to its own blockchain.

Bitfinex added support for main net migration and the addition of EOSIO as a blockchain producer.

Binance added support for main net migration.

2. TRON [TRX]:

The second-most profitable coin last month was TRON. With a 158% growth over the last month, it started at $0.031 on April 4th, grazing the $0.1 mark on April 30th and coming to rest at $0.084 at press time. It had a growth of 13.66% last week. It overtook Ethereum [ETH] earlier last month to take the #3 spot an by overall market cap and it currently rests at the #11 position after being overtaken by IOTA. A few significant factors that occurred last month related to TRON are:

Upcoming main net launch on 31st May, from being an ERC20 token to its own blockchain.

Bittrex, Bitfinex, and others added support for main net migration.

Airdrop on Ethereum blockchain as a token of good faith.

3. IOTA [MIOTA]:

IOTA has the third highest gains last month, with a whopping 133% growth rate. It began last month at $1.01 on April 4th, and is currently at $2.64, with a 19.02% hike in the last week. IOTA overtook the #9 position from TRON earlier this week, and continues to maintain growth momentum following significant partnerships, some of which include:

Joined the Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative, which is a consortium of vehicle makers aimed at using blockchain to make transportation safer and more affordable.

World’s first IOTA charging station for cars was initiated.

Cobinhood and Huobi listed IOTA.

4. Bitcoin Cash [BCH]:

Roger Ver’s controversial cryptocurrency Bitcoin Cash came in 4th for overall growth during the last month, with a growth of 113%. It started off at $665 on April 4th, which was low after March’s $1000+ prices, but made up for it by reaching $1549 on April 24th. It currently rests at the #4 position with a value of $1514, and a 9.38% growth over the last week. Bitcoin Cash had a lot of events this month, some of which include:

Upcoming hard fork on May 15th, increasing block size from 8MB to 32MB.

Antpool, one of the world’s largest mining operations, burnt 12% of all BCH mined increasing demand slightly.

Bitpay added support for Point of Sale payments of BCH through their mobile app Bitpay checkout.

5. Cardano [ADA]:

Cardano was the 5th highest gainer last month, coming in closely behind Bitcoin Cash with a growth of 111%. It was at $0.16 on April 4th, reaching a high point of $0.38 on April 29th. It is currently trading at $0.36 at the #6 overall position by market cap, with a growth of 22.80% in the last week. There has been a lot of buzz around Cardano lately, and a few of the significant events that affected its price last month are:

The upcoming launch of testnet on 28th May.

Release of Daedalus wallet beta for Linux users.

Signing of an MOU with Ethiopia for use of Cardano’s technology in agriculture.

6. Ethereum [ETH]:

The root of altcoins, Ethereum exhibited a 91% growth over the last month, trailing behind the pack. It holds the #2 spot by an overall market cap, with a current value of $793 and 18.75% growth over the last week. It started last month off at a value of $386 on April 4th and broke the $700 barrier on April 24th. A few events over the month were:

Phishing of MyEtherWallet by Google Public DNS hijack.

Amazon Web Services released a blockchain template that allows Ethereum mining.

Golem launches on Ethereum network.

Gray zone between being a security jeopardizing its position.

7. Stellar Lumens [XLM]:

Stellar Lumens seems to aim its boosters to the moon, with a growth rate of 90% over the last month. From a price of $0.21 on April 4th, it reached a high point of $0.46 on April 29th. It is currently at a price of $0.43 with a growth of 5.12% over the last week. A number of events happened over the last month with Stellar Lumens, some of which include:

CEX.io added support for fiat trading

Bitfinex and Abra added support for exchange of Lumens

Partnership with Novatti Group partnership for cross-border remittance

8. VeChain [VEN]:

VeChain’s growth is close behind Stellar’s, with a growth rate of 88% over the last month. It started with a price of $2.58 on April 4th, going up to $5.38 on May 3rd. It is currently trading at $5.29 with a growth of 35% this week. Some significant events this month were:

Partnership with PWC.

Bithumb listed VEN for exchange.

Rebranded blockchain to VechainThor, with a main net launch ‘soon’.

9. Ripple [XRP]:

Ripple rode the waves last month, with a growth of 61%. It grew from $0.51 on April 4th, reaching $0.95 on April 25th. It is currently trading at $0.91 at the #3 spot, with a growth rate of 7.61% over the last week. Ripple strode ahead with partnerships and events this month, some of which are:

Increased integration of Ripple’s architectures into partners’ Santander and Standard Chartered businesses

Entering emerging markets with 5 new xVia partnerships

Koinex and AnycoinDirect listed Ripple for trading

10. Bitcoin [BTC]:

The original cryptocurrency, Bitcoin still held the #1 position by market cap by a mammoth margin but had a lackluster growth of just 31% last month. It was trading at $7074 on April 4th, going up as high as $9740 on April 25th, fuelling hype that the $10000 barrier would be broken again. It is currently trading at $9743 with a 4.89% growth over the last week. Bitcoin had no shortage of news this month, however, and some are:

Buy notice from investment company Pantera.

Mt. Gox moved 16000 Bitcoin tokens to a cold wallet.

John Pfeffer quoted Bitcoin as a viable candidate to replace gold as a store of value.

Talks of Reddit bringing back payments through Bitcoin.

Streamlined Point of Sale transactions using Bitcoin through Bitpay Checkout.

Huobi launches with support for Bitcoin.

11. Litecoin [LTC]:

Litecoin rounds out the collection with a meager growth of 22% over the last month. It started with a price of $123 on April 4th, touching a high point of $165 on April 25th. It is currently trading at a price of $163 with a growth of 8.25% over the last week. Some significant news includes:

Dropped from #5 position to #9 earlier this week.

Korbit and TenX wallet added support for LTC transactions.

Partnership with Aliant Payments.

The market is reflecting bullish trends this month, with high gains for most of the top 20 coin. Increased adoption and mainstream proliferation continue to drive up the price of cryptocurrencies.

Wall Street Financial institutions seem eager to adopt cryptocurrency after looking at viable profits, with Goldman Sachs announcing a crypto trading desk yesterday and NASDAQ considering opening a cryptocurrency exchange as per their announcement earlier this week.

Slowly towards completing Step 2 and starting on Step 3

Status Update

I've followed up the Rainbow-01 satellites with new more streamlined Rainbow II, this satellite is smaller and it's far easier to pack multiple of them aboard a single mission. The Rainbow II should give me a great idea of the kind of satellites I'll need to likely bring 4-8 of on the prep missions prior to the final Jool mission.

There won't be much to change in this design for quite some time as the OKTO2 is the only thing that's going to lighten it up--though I may consider going to ROUND-8 tanks if there's enough Δv in them.

Other than that, I've launched 3 small probe science missions as part of the DBuster program. Two probes were sent to the Mun and the third to Minmus after the first two probes determined that the LV+delivery system had more than enough Δv to handle the trip with fuel to spare.

And on that note...

RCS engines are not so bad, but they are bad

I'd always known about RCS engines as an ultra-light low thrust alternative to parts like the 48-7S and LV-1 Ant, but had always done the mental math as "well, it's clearly going to be heavier because there are more nozzles." Still, no time like the present to try it out, eh?

The current Dbuster program probe, which has flaws (namely, 2x RV-105 instead of 4x, what was I thinking?), looks like this:

This probe's 4x Place-Anywhere 7 RCS ports and 2x RV-105's provide 10kn of thrust amounting to 792 m/s Δv with 0.315t in fuel from a single Stratus-V (I'll probably have to add more thrusters later)

For the weight, you'll all agree, this is terrible! An Oscar-B tank + LV-N? 2.23 TWR (Thrust-to-weight ratio) with 1400 Δv, Oscar-B + 48-7S? 19.5 TWR + 1200 Δv (the RCS thrusters in the example yield about 10~ TWR thrusting aft)! So what's the edge? Landing safety, and only landing safely, exclusively and entirely only and exactly landing safely.

There is no other upside.

650 Δv is more than enough to hit the ground at the Mun or Minmus, and with the RCS thrusters you gain 100% control over the ship as it comes down. My three test flights, while far more expensive than regular engines, had 0 difficulty landing or adjusting their landing zone once down. A polar landing that would have put me in shadow below a hill with a standard engine (or with a requirement to do some dangerous hops, constantly fighting to zero out angular velocity while stabilising from a hop) with the RCS thrusters I was able to slide sideways on descent and land squarely on a comfy plain nearby.

So for 14x the price you can guarantee a safe landing in an optimal location. I enjoyed my fiddling with the RCS engines and can recommend them firmly on ease of use during descent -- however, anyone more price-minded should absolutely steer clear. Reaction Systems Ltd. and STAEDLER Engineering Corps have completely failed to deliver cost-effective engines... which makes sense because these things aren't engines..... so good on them I suppose.

Satellite alignment for optimal constant coverage.

IT WAS THIS EASY THE WHOLE TIME?

The inner two axes have the 4 Rainbow II probes. One at 45° degrees and the other at 135°

Set yourself into an orbit that is exactly some #of hours, for example, 2 hours, once into that circularised orbit break off a relay and burn up to an orbital period of 3 hours.

As soon as that's done, set your node to circularise at your periapse again.

This will allow your first relay to travel halfway around it's orbit, then slow yourself on the other side.

With 3 probes it's about the same idea, except you add 40 minutes (putting you 40m behind, or 1/3rd of 120 mins) and then run the orbit.

I can't believe it was this easy. Thanks to Youtube channel Matt Lam for the tutorial that finally put it all together for me (I've set this to approximate start of the important bit)

With a total success around the Mun we've just got to send the Minmas probes next and then step 2 is complete.

A final note: I've gone with this pattern of two axes to try and guarantee signal to all parts of the Mun at once, if 2 craft on 1 axis are at N and S pole, then the 2 craft on the other axis are at W and E poles, giving nearly total coverage. Obviously my setup didn't go perfectly but Minmus is the goal and that's where it needs to be perfect.

Electrolux II and the Rainbow II mission.

Almost immediately after developing the Bissel II I mirrored the success by creating the Electrolux II, a medium lifter capable of carrying 3x the Bissel's load into orbit. I did opt for less Δv to spare by using a pair of BACC Thumpers, but at $21,000 and utilizing 2x Advanced Inline Stabilizers I felt I was already pushing the limits of cost effectiveness as I know I'm able to move that payload to orbit for 15k or 16k from past experience.

The Electrolux II-01-LV.

What's the real difference? The Electrolux II is the same base shape as the Bissel, but with double the fuel and an LV-T30 as the central engine. The BACC boosters fall away and the first stage has fuel pipes to equalise the fuel supply, guaranteeing they all run out at the same time and fall away together.

I chose to develop the Electrolux II so quickly because of the MIGHTY need to move 4x Rainbow II satellites into an orbit at the same time. I wanted to make sure I had enough fuel in the second stage to do multiple fairly significant inclination changes once in the desired moon's orbit. I figured an LV designed to lift 7.73t into space lifting a payload of barely 2.5 (the individual Rainbow II sats are 0.48t) would end up with a ton of Δv remaining, and I was right, the Rainbow II mission entered Low-Kerbin Orbit with roughly 2000 Δv remaining, practically the entire second stage's fuel supply.

The Minmusian landing was actually driven to action by this mission (ah how things fall into place) as I'd completed the Rainbow II satellites and the Electrolux II but was uncertain if they'd be aerodynamically sound without a fairing - surprise they were not. I could not manage to keep any of the earlier Rainbow II test flights stable and eventually had to launch launch DBuster 3 to Minmus to gather the science required for the AE-FF1 Airstream Protective Shell.

The results were not pretty, but eminently stable, as the four probes on top of each other stacked higher than the fairing wanted to go so I had to resort to a four-leaf clover shape (as an aside, I love the internal attachment points on fairings! I need to find a way to use those!)

Okay let’s try a grossly high-quality image here then. On a personal note I love that all the antennae fit together snug but don’t touch.

This somewhat awkward layout is fine as the Rainbow II mission releases 2 probes on the same orbit anyway, then rotates 90° to release the other two, maintaining comfortable stability.

I'd say the downside here is the Electrolux II's second stage is meant to be a second stage, not a craft capable of operating independantly, thus it has no CPU, turning it into space junk once the communication satellites are launched. Nuts.

In it's current arrangement, a single Rainbow II program mission launch costs $10,409 per satellite put into orbit.

The Infinite Possibilities of a real open world - what's next?

I need a bit more cash, so I've accepted satellite missions for Goliath National Products, StrutCo, and Kerbal Motion LLC. None of these three satellite missions are particularly difficult, and will likely lead to me putting another 300k~ in the bank. This will provide me the cash needed to comfortably upgrade my Research and Development facility.

That's the real big thing though, once I hit R&D level 2 the Kerbol system really is my tiny green cartoon oyster. Once the R&D facility is upgraded I think I will attempt 4-6 more DBuster missions to the Mun to acquire Advanced Electrics, Advanced Exploration (and pre-req. Space Exploration), and then Specialised Construction. This new science will allow me to start putting space station parts up (starting with the science station core) that aren't terrible, using Clamp-o-Trons, BZ-52s, and empty fuel tanks (what!? I'll have Cubic Octagonal Struts some day!)

That segues into the real challenge: mid-term science acquisition to unlock all of the scanning and other science equipment. I'll do as much of this as possible before mounting some fairly major science missions within the Kerbin system, lugging every bit of science equipment into orbit, perhaps on a reusable system, before finally merging that craft with the station I've built.

This sets up a great situation for mining, fuel processing, and storage to be added to the station to create that lovely "all-in-one" station.

During this period of rapid growth, I'll need to find time for rescue missions and station missions, rescues are a fantastic source of free Kerbals and station missions are simply bursting with $.

I'll also need to start thinking about reusable craft for science gathering.

Yes, we're almost at the interesting bit.

RCS thrust is pretty alright for a lander, but the cost is extreme compared to traditional LFO systems.

I am on the cusp of "the big part of the game" and I haven't even left Kerbin influence.

Parts drag is as real as it ever was, don't try and stick 40~ parts at the top of a rocket with no fairing.

Oh my gosh comm networks are so much easier than I thought.

Cointree Crypto Market Update - September 2nd 2020

Market update for traders

Has Bitcoin found a bottom? The largest crypto by market cap appears to be on the move, breaking up from $15,600 AUD and back above $16,000, a move of 6%. BTC is hunting to re-enter the range it held for much of August.

After dramatically breaking down from the range that supported price action for most of the month, Bitcoin has found a floor at $15,400, consolidating along the 200 EMA on the 4hr chart. Price action appears to have formed an inverted head and shoulders pattern and now bulls are pressing higher.

As Bitcoin broke down from $16,000 the market looked to be heading much lower, however, buyers stepped in below $15,400 - three times this area was rejected and now it is supporting the rally we have seen in the last 24 hours. Bulls will be buoyed and must reclaim the range at $16,200 with conviction - if it does then it’s likely Bitcoin will move fast to 16,500 and perhaps 17k.

This week some major Alt-coins made major moves...XEM was the big winner, up 64%, while TRON was up 27%, and Ethereum up 20% over 7-days.

Has Bitcoin found a bottom? The largest crypto by market cap appears to be breaking up from the mid $15,000 area and back above $16,000 AUD, a rise of 6% over 7-days.

After dramatically breaking down from $16,400 last week, Bitcoin appears to have stemmed the bleeding at $15,400, finding buyers at a key moving average, indicated by the red line.

Key Takeaway: When Bitcoin broke down from $16,000 the market looked to be hunting for $15,200, however, each time the price threatened to go lower than $15,400, buyers stepped in. The positive outlook is for Bitcoin to reclaim 16k with conviction - if it can, then it will likely mean $17,000 is within reach for the second time this month.

Remember when virtual cat game CryptoKitties collapsed the Ethereum network? The feline frenzy in 2017 saw gaming fanatics spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on digital cats with zero tangible utility. Now most of them go for about $1.21 (0.0045 ETH).

Back in the day, the number of users flocking to the game was so intense that it took more than 15 percent of all transaction traffic on the Ethereum blockchain. Not only did this slow down transactions across the board, but it also thrust Ethereum’s scaling issues into the limelight.

Now that the hype has died down, CryptoKitties now has just a handful of active daily users. 257 in the past 24 hours to be precise. What went wrong?

Cute Cats and Dice Games Just Don’t Cut It

One glance at DApp Radar is enough to get a pretty clear picture of the state of DApps right now. It’s not just the Ethereum blockchain, either. Tron, EOS, and IOST all suffer a similar fate.

Of 2,200 DApps monitored on the site, only one had over 10,000 active users in the past 24 hours. An EOS DApp called ADM that lets its 16k+ users “get candy free on the web.”

If the value proposition of that isn’t immediately obvious to you, it seems you’re in good company. While developer platforms were hoping to breed DApps like smartphone apps and decentralize the internet, they forgot about attracting users.

With so much interest in the gaming market, there are some 2.3 billion gamers worldwide. These are users with access to high definition graphics, virtual reality, surround sound, and other sophisticated gaming elements.

Let’s face it, the average user doesn’t care enough about decentralization to download a cumbersome blockchain-based operating system and use an inferior product. Trading cats and rolling dice aren’t appealing enough to most users.

Blockchain Platforms Are Not Ready for Users

Then, of course, there’s still the very real problem of scalability. Even if a gaming DApp came along to rival the CryptoKitty fad and convinced users to take the extra steps to play it, the network couldn’t support them anyway.

CryptoKitties once sold a cat for $170,000. Now, the average feline goes for around $1, with the most expensive currently at $15. That’s a rather unfortunate value drop for its owner.

The User Experience Needs Improving

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, if DApps are hoping to attract more users, they need to make it easier for users to get on board. But it’s still entirely chicken and egg.

Gaming DApps need more users to be successful, DEXs need more users to be liquid… But the underpinning platforms don’t scale to accommodate them yet.

Ripple [XRP] stated to be “too expensive” by Western Union’s CEO!

OPINION: A long, long time ago, as seen in the history books, last December Bitcoin reached almost $20K and other cryptos saw an exciting rise with some tokens witnessing a massive 1000% increase. No one would have expected what is to follow. The next year began with a downtrend which continued on for six months (at press time).

Although chart analysts and market readers expected a pullback, no one expected the market to be in the current bearish hold for such a long time. Bitcoin at press time was trading at $6484 to a token with a market cap of $111 billion and a poor trading volume of $3 billion which was last commonly experienced in early November last year.

AMBCrypto reporters tried to understand the current market sentiment by interviewing different people from the industry including miners, investors, “whales”, devs and other people from the market who currently are vested in the market.

The following break-down is just a synopsis and aggregation of all opinions from the reported sentiments.

From ~$20K to $14K – The expected pullback: Although the analysts and traders predicted a fall to $16K, $14k is what they settled for as a “pull-back” price scenario before Bitcoin went back up again.

From $14K to $11.8K – Regulatory Concerns: The second half of January was plagued with regulatory crackdown news from South Korea to India where the possibility of “banning” cryptos was in play. Chaotic and panic driven markets could be seen in play.

From $11.8K to 9K – Uncertain markets + hacks + Mt. Gox Fear: This phase was clouded with fear following the regulatory hacks. Although Mt. Gox’s selling would or wouldn’t have affected the prices during January/Feb, the fear definitely played a part and kept institutional investors at bay. Exchange hacks rumors and a big chunk of money being actually stolen did play a part in the already “FUD”ed markets.

From $9K to the current $6K – Inconclusive: There were a lot of unsatisfying answers from the Coinrail hack to the prices being manipulated by Bitfinex’s Tether but the most legitimate point would be the current trading volumes which are currently 5-6 times lower than what was witnessed during the peak trading period in Dec-Jan’ 18. Prices reflecting from low trade volumes are generally considered futile.

An earlier article pointed out the possibility of Bitcoin markets staying red till September because of the possible Mt. Gox Bitcoin sell-off which could resume post the court date scheduled for the 18th of September.

Philemon Naga (pseudo name), a crypto investor with an interesting portfolio worth $5.23 million talks to AMBCrypto about price manipulation and says,

“Manipulations are part of not only the crypto world, it’s there all around you. Getting 1 BTC for $6k is a steal today but there isn’t enough buying pressure. Are we waiting for a $4k scenario? There is no way in hell Bitcoin doesn’t go up from here. IMO the people who are currently selling it so cheap should be primarily merchants for goods or services. Smart guys are still in, I consider weak hands to be out. Unless Satoshi wakes up and sells his shit, this market is going nowhere, we are in for a big rebound”

Rakesh Chandran, a digital marketing manager and a crypto investor and miner from 2016 says,

“Buy the dip is easier said than done, a lot of people still panic-sell without understanding the gravity of their loss. A look at the data from Google Trends shows the huge drop in search volumes and thereby the interest. The people who hold on right now are the only ones who make it big.”

Bitcoin’s historic price

Majid Khan, a veteran trader from New York says,

“If you know Bitcoin from 2013 then you know that there was a sudden spurt in price around 2013 when it touched $1000 and then never went back there again till about 3 years later. But when it did come back, it came back with a bang. People fail to look at the bigger picture. A bearish claw now is ok; worst case scenario by this year end we might see some positive price action but that doesn’t mean Bitcoin or crypto is dead. It never will be. Bitcoin might die 20-30 years down the line but crypto will never die. You are lucky to be here so early”

Ripple at press time was trading at $0.52 to a token with a market cap of $20 billion witnessing a 14% drop over the past week like most other tokens. Ripple’s Cory Johnson had recently stated his views on how “XRP is crypto 2.0“. Although the “new” partnership announcements have reduced and prices have been stagnant, Ripple arguably has one of the widest and strongest communities in the cryptosphere.

Tron [TRX] and EOS were the biggest news in the past two months with their Mainnet launches. Although EOS had a few glitches along the way, the Mainnet launch and token swap was considered a success by some from the community. EOS took off post-March 18th when it was trading at just $4 to a token to an all-time high of above $20 around April 30th.

Despite the bearish market throughout this year, many consider 2018 to be the year with the most amount of progress in the blockchain space. Technological developments and government adoption of blockchain technology into the state infrastructure should according to many signals a positive sign for cryptos. The crypto incentive is what propelled blockchain forward, without the incentive, developments might stifle.

Khi nào bạn nhận được mã vạch

Khi bạn mua một mặt hàng từ bất kỳ cửa hàng nào, bạn sẽ nhận thấy một nhãn với các đường kẻ mỏng, màu đen trên nó, cùng với một biến thể của các con số khác nhau. Nhãn này sau đó được thu bởi thủ quỹ, và mô tả và giá của món hàng sẽ tự động xuất hiện. Định nghĩa kỹ thuật cho mã vạch là một dạng thông tin có thể đọc được trên một bề mặt trực quan có thể quét được. Họ cũng thường được gọi là mã UPC. Mã vạch được đọc bằng cách sử dụng một máy quét đặc biệt đọc thông tin trực tiếp. Thông tin sau đó được truyền đi vào cơ sở dữ liệu nơi nó có thể được ghi lại và theo dõi.

Tại sao phải dùng mã vạch

Mã vạch hiện nay được dùng với nhiều mục đích trong cuộc sống. Có thể kể đến như:

Xa như những năm 1960, mã vạch được sử dụng trong môi trường làm việc công nghiệp. Một số triển khai sớm của mã vạch bao gồm khả năng xác định đường sắt, đường bộ, ô tô, v.v …

Vào đầu những năm 1970, các mã vạch phổ biến bắt đầu xuất hiện trên các kệ hàng tạp hóa. Để tự động hóa quá trình xác định mặt hàng tạp hóa, mã vạch UPC được đặt trên sản phẩm.

Ngày nay, mã vạch chỉ là về ở khắp mọi nơi và được sử dụng để nhận diện trong hầu hết các loại hình kinh doanh.

Khi mã vạch được sử dụng trong quá trình kinh doanh, thủ tục được tự động để tăng năng suất và giảm lỗi của con người.

Bất cứ khi nào có nhu cầu xác định chính xác hoặc theo dõi một cái gì đó, mã vạch sẽ được sử dụng. Ví dụ, trong môi trường làm việc nhập dữ liệu, người lao động có thể phải nhập một số lượng lớn dữ liệu vào hệ thống cơ sở dữ liệu khách hàng.

Thay vì nhập số nhận dạng khách hàng vào cơ sở dữ liệu bằng tay, nếu thông tin được chứa trong mã vạch, nhà khai thác dữ liệu có thể quét nó. Điều này sẽ làm tăng tính tự động hóa và giảm lỗi của con người.

Binance CEO Says Bitcoin Will Hit $16,000 “Soonish”

Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao, has moved boldly with another prediction. This time, seeing Bitcoin hit $16,000 soon.

CZ Among Top Bitcoin Influencers

Binance’s CEO has been one of the most influential voices in crypto, though not without critics and detractors. But CZ remains bullish on his Twitter channel, recently making a prediction for BTC to drive to a high not seen in more than 18 months.

Who were the 1.4 billion people working on Bitcoin’s boost was unclear – the global crypto community looks much smaller. It is possible Binance’s CEO envisioned much of China joining in the game with renewed enthusiasm.

Binance has been bullish not only on BTC but also on China’s relationship with cryptocurrencies as well. Recently, the exchange opened an OTC desk for Chinese traders, and Zhao mentioned Alipay and WeChat as tools to buy BTC with.

Additionally, Binance is opening a new office in mainland China, to grab onto the increased demand for crypto-related services.

In the past, the predictions of CZ also had bad moments, especially when BTC flash-crashed down from the $10,000 level. Shortly before that, CZ was confident traders would regret selling below $10,000, and possibly never see four-digit BTC again.

But the more recent exposure came from Justin Sun, another social media star in the world of crypto. Sun posted a now-deleted tweet suggesting TRON (TRX) may be a top 4 coin by the end of the year. The reply of @cz_binance called this a “borderline price prediction” and told Sun “don’t do it”.

Twitter commentators were quick to pick up on this, and gave CZ a taste of his own medicine.

Both Zhao and Sun have a view of the Chinese market for investment products and technology. But while Sun never misses a beat in touting TRON, Zhao is more of a Bitcoin proponent. No wonder, since Binance is now fighting for a top position in trading BTC futures, one of the largest, most liquid and most lucrative markets.

For now, BTC fails to rally based only on Zhao’s expectations. A year-end rally is one possible deadline, and BTC is certainly seen breaking out before the halving of the reward. But predicting BTC is risky due to its propensity to shift directions suddenly. The Bitcoin fear and greed index is currently stuck in the middle on neutral at 50 points, not giving a sign for either direction.

Cute Cats and Dice Games Just Don’t Cut It

One glance at DApp Radar is enough to get a pretty clear picture of the state of DApps right now. It’s not just the Ethereum blockchain, either. Tron, EOS, and IOST all suffer a similar fate.

Of 2,200 DApps monitored on the site, only one had over 10,000 active users in the past 24 hours. An EOS DApp called ADM that lets its 16k+ users “get candy free on the web.”

Blockchain Platforms Are Not Ready for Users

CryptoKitties once sold a cat for $170,000. Now, the average feline goes for around $1, with the most expensive currently at $15. That’s a rather unfortunate value drop for its owner.

The User Experience Needs Improving

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, if DApps are hoping to attract more users, they need to make it easier for users to get on board. But it’s still entirely chicken and egg.

Gaming DApps need more users to be successful, DEXs need more users to be liquid… But the underpinning platforms don’t scale to accommodate them yet.
