Truffettes de France
My brother won it in a Christmas work party.
...And then after fierce defence on our part, we freed it from our mother’s Christmas games prize pool grasp.
The truffle itself is pretty good! Small bite sized shape, soft and sweet mediated by the bittersweet cocoa dust.
So I melted it in milk by blasting the mix in a microwave.
Following the Horlicks method (60 seconds, stir, 50 more seconds) resulted in a milky, creamy, rich chocolatey scent hot cocoa consisting layers of colour. Video to follow. Hoping that translates to flavour and texture.
I think it does, a little. The texture’s surprisingly not as creamy as the scent suggests, but the flavour is interestingly bittersweet. Do I recommend nuking expensive, fancy looking truffles? If it comes in multiples, always save one to nuke.

It's crazy how often I look up a recipe and think "that doesn't sound right 🤔" then look it up with the word "scottish" and find what I'm looking for
We have so many recipes that are different to what everyone else does 😭

The instant the temperature drops below zero, something magical happens: all the stuff in my veins turns to hot chocolate.
I do, often, try to make things for myself first, because I am my own target market, but this is really... I mean... Hi, I'm Kira. Nice to meet you? I'm mostly made of cocoa powder and frothed milk in the winter months.
Our 4" sparkly holographic vinyl "Powered by Hot Cocoa" sticker is a tribute to my fave winter drink, and is available in the shop today.
...
The real question is, for those who can relate: do you take your hot cocoa with marshmallows or whipped cream?

Basic Truffles
Tumblr media
You can customize this basic truffle filling by adding your own flavorings or extracts. This can be used to fill chocolate shells that you make using candy molds, or you can roll it into balls and then cover them in powdered sugar, cocoa, sprinkles, or other toppings.
