Mags got her final promotion and is now a 5-Star Celebrity Chef. Her kitchen is now equipped with the finest refrigerator, in addition to her professional food processor, and a canning station full of her special Double-Boiled Ginseng Broth.

Ru heading out the hunting cabin to identify the seeds he’s been collecting since the sims of Isolation washed up on the island’s shores. While Trovinte takes a moment to relax, reading one of the books FroAnhke found while scavaging on the beach.
That last picture totally looks like Ru is welcoming FroAnhke home.
---
Finally here’s a shot of the little garden area and the door to the root cellar, that actually existed on the lot long before the hunting cabin was built. It takes even longer before there’s a shot of the inside of the root cellar. Again, I wasn’t really thinking I would share these pictures at the time. I’m more intentional with my shots now.
Going back to the garden. I mentioned that I added extra challenges to this game. The ones around gardening/harvesting are as follows:
Although they are on a tropical island I have the plants stop producing fruit on the same schedule as the Season’s expansion pack.
Aside from no more than 3, or 4 indoor harvestables, I don’t really let the sims plant/garden during the time period plants don’t grow outside.
I only let the sims plant seeds they’ve found, or plant the custom food items not available on the island (because they don’t have buydebug options and can only be planted by purchasing them from the store first) and I have them snorkle, dig, or salvage to find those latter food items.
I do all this to both make my sims struggle in their surroundings a bit more and also so they use up the food they gather and can. I guess this is all part of finding the rhythm to my preferred game play. It helps me explore all the aspects of TS3 while also remaining interested. So far my sims’ Isolation seasonal schedule goes:
Summer Part 1: Focus on Harvesting/gathering, grinding items (flowers, Corn) for thread/stuffing, flour/sugar, tending to beehives
Summer Part 2: Diving Trip
Fall: Focus on canning, making nectar/dye/candles
Fall Part 2: continue canning with emphasis on making rations (keep in mind I use Butterbot’s Canning Station Overhaul mod from MTS)
Winter: Hunting Trip
Spring: planting personal garden, tending to beehives
Mind you, this is just the food related schedule. My sims are still building, and sewing clothes, and gathering wood/metals/gems, etc throughout all of this. I also haven’t really decided whether I should make acquiring milk and making cheese a seasonal thing.

hey -- i got a dumb question. do you know of any medieval/victorian/historical themed food processors (for ts3) that *isn't* a 50s' styled one? i'm looking for anything. maybe something disguised as a mortar and pestle? or, alternatively, how do you make baby food in your game? (sorry for this kind of ask)
No need to apologize! Actually I thought about this just the other day! In my Victorian gameplay, I always used the Steampunk food-processor from the Store
https://store.thesims3.com/productDetail.html?productId=OFB-SIM3:45934&scategoryId=11537
Sometimes also ingame models  with a wood-pattern.
Just recently I ran into the babyfood question in my Banished save. On the one hand, if I can find a good object to convert, I might just make a disguised food-processor. On the other hand, I really like that Sims in that save have to chop their ingredients themselves, so I wouldn’t want to make it too easy for them. Also I always found it kinda disappointing that babyfood made from meals is exactly the same as standard babyfood. So what I did in game was simply to sell one plate of food for one serving of babyfood. I use Butterbot’s split group servings and canning mod quite a lot, so this was easy to do.
